Anyone familiar with San Fran Bay Area?
Dante replied to Fadingpain's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If she is working in Pleasanton you will be in good shape. Commute to SF or anywhere across the water is hellish. Even San Jose commute is no bargain. I have a brother in law that takes advantage of every government program going. Kinda half ass works somewhere but not sure what he is doing. Usually unemployed. He managed to wrangle his way into some brand new units right next to the BART station they just built in Dublin. He is paying just over $1000 on some low-income deal. The working guy beside him has to pay between $2500 and $3000. PIsses me off when I think about it. -
Rotton Tomatoes went off the rails years ago. We went to see Jumanji as well this weekend and I concur. It sucked.

I love the original Bad News Bears so much. They win in 6 games. Would win it in less but their pitching staff is a bit overworked.

I think you may have to go townhome for that price. I know that seems unreasonable but that's just the way it is here. Do some Google searching in the area. They are building a shite load of new stuff 3 or 4 miles down the road from me. Lot's of single homes and lots of townhomes. All off of Tassajara Rd. I'm not a real estate expert but we do look from time to time. Here are some that are in that area. https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Dublin-Ranch_Dublin_CA I think Dublin would be a bit cheaper than Pleasanton. The two towns are right across the highway from each other so it's the same area. -

We live in Danville, Ca. 5 miles north of Pleasanton/Dublin. Pleasanton is a great little town. We go there quite a bit for various things. Restaurants, movies etc. Our storage unit is there also. Anyway, low crime, great weather. Adjoining to major highways. 580 East/West goes to San Fran. 680 North/West to San Jose/Fremont. "Easy" to get to SF depending on the time of day. BART station right there. But like everything else in this area, expensive as hell. What else do you need to know? -
Paint a vivid picture of the totality, underpublicized consequences of this type of thing. Way, way to cavalier like enthusiasm to send people to fight, destroy and kill since then. I have changed so much on my attitude in this over the years. Now when I see movie previews glorifying military action abroad it kind of repulses me. Sorry I'm not knowledgeable enough about specific details on generals and alike to wade in on the argument

13 victims found shackled in California home

Although in the long run vigilante justice probably goes off the rails, I really do wish for some mafia style payback sometimes. -

9 million bail for each? Looks like those two can come up with that no problem. -

ewe Man's man. About as opposite as you can get from the dude above with the big knockers. -
I don't have the same hatred of the Patriots most here do. Great team. I have a healthy respect for them. That said I think it's an interesting matchup. Jax and Bortles is a mystery to me. He's a terrible passer but has been finding a way to get it done. There is something about him. I love the the idea of a polished offense like the Pat's going against a tough D. Especially if the weather turns bad.

Don't think I haven't thought of this. Sharks are actually in SoCal then Phoenix this week. But no Vegas So have you duplicated any of the recipes? If so please share how it went

It's all bs. Truth be known Kim Jung is friggin CIA and the backward country of NK barely has enough tech to put together a molitov cocktail.

Ramsey's looks unlikely so maybe we try Bouchon. Just checked out the menu. This looks nice. "*Steak Bouchon* grilled eye of the rib & sauce Béarnaise, served with French fries"

Always have admired Ramsey. We are going to Vegas Tuesday morning for a trade show for a couple days. Would love to get in but looks like it might be tough. http://beta.latimes.com/travel/deals/la-tr-las-vegas-hells-kitchen-opening-with-gordon-ramsay-20180108-htmlstory.html

I'm down. Since we are the evil empire and Trump is our even eviler overload, let's take advantage and play the part. Cut em all off and either cut my taxes, pay down the debt or rebuild. Anything but give it away. -
President Oprah Winfrey?

Smash cut to Hillary taking a header into her limo leaving a 9-11 memorial celebration. Nancy Pelosi unable to form coherent sentences several times on video. Trump is the national debating champion compared to those two brain damaged shrews. -
Which famous ugly woman do you actually like?

Every time I see her I think she has to know, or be doing someone in Hollywood to get on screen. -
That place was great. $1 beers. Nice sound system if I remember correctly. We went down there in the 80s era.

I know there is a disdain for reality TV but wife and I binged watched "Flipping Out" on Amazon over the holidays. 6 seasons so far. I don't care I just get a kick out of the guy. (Jeff Lewis Designs). Also, any show dealing with flipping/designing high-end homes in SoCal I''m a sucker for. -

Do You Give Panhandlers On Street Corners Money?
Dante replied to Rico's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I never give anything. I always think it's a scam. That's because lots of times it is. The only nagging thought in the back of my head is what if it's a messed up veteran? If I only knew for sure I would give . I guess a viable option would offer to go buy them food to eat instead of giving money. -
I'm so sorry for your loss. Unimaginable emotions to endure. I have a niece I would not be surprised if we got a call someday. The collateral damage addiction causes is something I never really considered before until recently. All the best to you and your family.
