As well as our significantly lesser winning percentage compared to games when he is not the ref. I have never ever seen Petr Cech as upset as he was today. Mike Dean further embarrassed himself the way he treated Petr and then giving him a yellow. What a prick.
-
You just don't like him. His record as our HC belies your bias against him especially for the reasons I already mentioned. To illustrate your (and others') bias, if Rex had 15 defenders on the field, you would have crucified him. Did you even mention it on this site when it happened to McCoach?!? I hope McCoach gets a fair shot.

Arsenal's record with Mike Dean is so significantly worse than without that it is significantly significant and cannot be ignored by the FA. Marrone is an arse. Rex is not.
-
Yes, I think that a guy who had the best winning percentage for the previous 17 years did not deserve to get fired in less than two years especially after the injuries and the effort to undermine him with leaks.
-
I agree that coaches deserve about that amount of time to judge them accurately.
-
If that were the case, Mike Dean would not have f***ed us today and the people of Buffalo would not have had to wait 17 years to make the playoffs.

Although I am not a hater, I am not his biggest fan. I will say this. McCoach has got to be about the luckiest guy in the world after today (playing against a QB I never heard of before this week and Andy Dalton converting a fourth down for the TD, etc.). McCoach is MOST fortunate that he does not have to answer questions about the Bills not making the playoffs because he decided to start a rookie QB that was not nearly ready to play. Having said all that, I am glad we finally have some luck. It must be the luck of the Irish, I mean McCoach. Well done. Let's see how he does against St. Doug next week.

Remembering the IK Enemkpali Fiasco
Peter replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
God forbid that a head coach should have some personality and have some fun. Heaven forbid. One of the issue we had was that we were "leaders" (or one of the leaders) in the league in three and outs. P.S. Rex replaced Roman with Anthony Lynn who is now a HC while Roman is merely a senior offensive assistant and not even a coordinator with the Ravens. -
I believe you are correct. I also know that this has been discussed/mentioned in the past when the Dolphins are pitching free agents and when guys sign down here.

The Bills picked up a guy that the HC was familiar with, played a position of need, and was familiar with the system. Wow. At least with McCoach we have not had 15 defensive players on the field at the same time . . . oh wait, never mind. -
Don - I tried to send you a PM but someone seems to have prevented you from getting messages. This is very, very odd. I wonder why the administrators would do this. Has there been an explanation?

I am old school too: tell us what you know rather than tease everyone. You may as well just say where it is to demonstrate your bona fides - especially given that you have said that this is all publicly available. As for doing the research, it may be somewhat difficult and time consuming for some of us to research land sales of every parcel east of Buffalo (especially those of us who live elsewhere). I will leave that for others who do not have a full time job. If you are not willing to give up the goods , so be it.
-
I really appreciate your posting your information and give you the benefit of the doubt as to the credibility of what you have reported. Nevertheless, if the "land for the stadium [already] has been bought" and the purchases are publicly available, you may as well let us know where it is.

Felton had one thing going against him - he was not a part of the breakfast club that Tolbert shared with the head coach.

Snowstorm May Cost Vinatieri Bonus
Peter replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That had to be the most difficult extra point in the history of the NFL (or close to it). He should get the bonus for that kick. -
So where are the flurry of land transactions taking place? Has that been revealed in this thread? If not, why not given that those are publicly available?

Our start was due to having the 10th easiest schedule in the league. It was a mirage. Don't get too excited. As for your last comment, I trust that you made it because you have not read my posts stating that, even though I am not impressed, I do not see myself advocating that they be let go in less than two years (as so many did with the last staff).
-
I am glad that you are enjoying the "process." As for me, lately when I have to take a you know what (begins with "d" and rhymes with rump), I now ask myself what "process" would McCoach go through.
-
I suspected that. Season tickets already are down big time this year. That has affected the entire re-sale market. As I have posted, I am an out of town season ticket holder. My Dad got season tickets at the inception of the franchise. After my Dad passed away, I continued the season tickets for sentimental reasons and because they are in the lower bowl on the 45 yard line. This year has been the worst year that I have had for being able to re-sell tickets to games to which I could not attend. Keep in mind that my goal is basically to break even on the collection of games that I cannot attend in a particular season. People have voted loudly and clearly with their wallets as to what they think about McBeane and what is happening with the Bills. I was not even able to sell my seats to the home opener for face value. I probably will continue to keep the season tickets (because I am too sentimental and am an idiot), but is it really a smart decision financially or otherwise? $4 tickets for the Indy game tells one all one needs to know about what the Buffalo Bills fan base thinks of McBeane and the "process" better than anything anyone could post or say on the subject. Ugh.

Now that it appears Peterman is starting, I hope his confidence was not destroyed in the Chargers' game and that he shows enough talent that we (and he) can see that he has a future in this league (at least as a quality back up).

Listen, I know a bunch of you guys dislike Rex. We have been round and round on this. Objectively, he was the best coach in Buffalo Bills franchise history for the previous 17 years. You guys can say what you will, but that is the fact from which none of you can escape. There was no reason to fire him and certainly no reason that compelled ownership to fire him in less than two years. Now, we have been forced to start anew yet again. This time with McBeane. The fans have voted with their wallets. $4 tickets. Yay. P.S. Setting aside the Rex discussion, I cannot say I disagree regarding your Coughlin comments. He would have been ok. I also was advocating righting a wrong and hiring Wade. Wade never should have been fired and is a great coach (in my view). Wade also loves Buffalo and would have been very happy to return.

Believe me, McCoach did NOT get my hopes up. Our earlier record was a mirage. We had the 10th easiest schedule in the league. I am bored to tears watching this team. I did not agree with trading guys for little or no value. I think that they have made the team worse, but they think they are so smart that they think they have made it better now. As I also have mentioned, as an out of town season ticket holder this is especially painful because - no matter what some of the critics of Rex had or have to say - people are voting with their wallets loudly and clearly as to what they think about McCoach and the process. People are not willing to pay much for tickets or are not buying tickets at all . . . not just December games but the home opener (which I could not sell for even face value). I much would have preferred the continuity that ownership and management were selling not too long ago until someone decided to undermine the old coach and they decided that they did not want continuity but would rather begin anew . . . yet again. I thought that we were making progress with the last staff until someone in management (Whaley?) (or perhaps ownership) decided to throw him under the bus. Notwithstanding the foregoing, I do not see myself advocating that McBeane should get less than two years. I also hope that they are successful. Just my two cents.

I am not impressed. Nevertheless, as much as I am not impressed, I have a hard time seeing myself arguing that someone should be fired in less than two years as some here argued incessantly last year.
