  1. I am going to tell the name partners of my firm that Mike Mularkey and Tom Donahoe say that I should not have to meet with them or answer their questions and see how far that gets me.
  2. The Stones were great (as were U2, McCartney, and Aerosmith). The things that some of you guys complain about amaze me.
  3. Unfortunately, I only was able to see the shoot out. He was great in the shoot out, and it sounds like he played great during the game against one of the best teams in the league.
  4. Do you guys know whether they are going to show this again on Discovery?
  5. That move he put on Hasek showed that he is one cool customer. He froze Dom just long enough to beat him and help win a critical game. Great goal with the game on the line.
  6. Not much at this point. It probably would not be worth it. We may as well see what he can do in the minicamps, training camp, and preseason.
  7. I firmly believe that the Bills should never reach for players. It is better to get value for your picks with quality players rather than picking guys too early.
  8. I agree that we may be able to get Winston in the second round. That would be a good value pick.
  9. Cutler is probably better than Losman. Having said that, I would not be surprised if Marv is saying that to get another team to trade with us or to take Cutler ahead of us so that one of the stud linemen (D or O) falls to us.
  10. Ralph, remember that you own the team. Hire Sherman. He is the clear cut choice among those reportedly interviewed. This should be a no brainer.
  11. How hard is it to get a friggen wire tap? I heard that, over the years, the special court has only denied about 5 out of 17,000 wiretap requests. If the Bush Administration had been smart, it would have made the requests. As for the exigent circumstances argument, there is a specific procedure for going in after the fact. This was pure stupidity and/or hubris on the part of the Bush Administration.
  12. At least they did not cheer when one of their own players got hurt.
  13. My two cents: Go back to the previous unis (i.e. the Superbowl unis) and wear the throwbacks twice a year. Above all costs - get rid of our awful current unis.
  14. For what it is worth, I wrote him a number of years ago. He sent me a personal letter in response. I have a feeling that he is pretty good about writing back to people.
  15. You have heard from him (and MM) -- it has been through their mouthpieces such as Mort, Clayton, and Lenny P.
  16. Totally agree with his point regarding the uniforms.
  17. That is further TD and MM spin. RW is the owner of a multi-million enterprise. If I owned the team, I would call as well. I have a hard time believing that other owners around the league to meet with the coaches and general managers often. I also heard this crap regarding GW. I guess TD, MM, and GW did not like having to explain why the Bills never met anyone's expectations for the past several years.
  18. My use of the word "getting" was of the mortal kind. I am not sure that I disagree with you. I did see a "terrorism expert" on television the other day, however, who suggested that capturing him would actually be the most effective given that it would humiliate him and his cause in the eyes of the arab world. In any event, bin Laden and al Qaeda were the ones behind 9/11. It has been almost 4 and 1/2 years since 9/11. The longer it takes to "get" him and Zawahiri, the more empty our rhetoric is about fighting the war on terrorism and our credibility diminishes in the process. Both of these guys deserve to be "gotten" regardless of how anyone may want to define it.
  19. As your quote states, Zawahiri is at the right hand of bin Laden -- not the other way around. When Bush said "dead or alive," he was not talking about Zawahiri. No doubt, it would be great to get Zawahiri, but we better get bin Laden as well.
  20. Sony hired Howard Stringer as CEO and he spends most of his time in London and NYC. I think that this was just an excuse.
  21. John Clayton really gets around.
  22. I have nothing but respect for Dan Reeves. If anyone on this board ever listened to his NFL radio show on Sirius, you know that Dan knows his football about as well as anyone. He would be a great choice and would bring instant credibility.
  23. Actually, we keep on getting the number 3 over and over and over again. This would be the first time for number 2 (unless you count number 2 in Austin Powers).
