  1. Exactly.
  2. I totally agree that we have to take D'Brick or Mario if they somehow fall to us.
  3. I apologize if this already has been posted. I heard a rumor on Sirius that the Cowboys are gaga over Huff. Many of the mock drafts have him being picked by Detroit (the pick right after ours). If the above is correct, the Cowboys are a potential draft day trade partner. They pick at 18. That may be too far down the board depending on who we may want at 18 and would still be available. It also will depend on whether whoever we may be targeting is still available at the 8 spot and what else the Cowboys (or anyone else for that matter) may be offering. If, for example, D'Brick is still there, we really have to take him. According to one value chart I saw, the 8th pick is worth 1400 points. The 18th pick is worth 900 points. The 49th pick (the Cowboys second round pick) is worth 410 points. The Cowboys' third round pick is worth 190 points. They do not have a fourth round pick. Just food for thought.
  4. To paraphrase Stephen Colbert, the NFL would be dead to me. I cannot imagine ever seriously following the NFL if it allowed the Bills to move. I certainly would never have the intense passion for the league or any team that I have now for the Bills.
  5. This is another example of why the owners should not have given away the store when 30 of them agreed to the CBA. It is going to end up coming out of our pocket anyway.
  6. I sent this guy the following e-mail: Rich, I really hope that you are not just being a shill for Dan Snyder. The NFLPA took the NFL to the cleaners in this agreement. Most people seem to agree on this point now even though only two owners were smart enough to vote against it. It appears that owners like Dan Snyder and others were desperate to get a deal done for fear that they would have to cut numerous players to stay under the cap. Tags was desperate to get a deal done to further his legacy. He knew that he was going to retire and did not want any labor strife on his watch. In an attempt to push the multi-billion dollar deal through without any meaningful deliberation or analysis, team owners were given minutes to vote on it. Now we face the issue of qualifiers. One of the qualifiers being floated around is to preclude teams that are sold from participating in revenue sharing. It appears that this proposal is directed specifically toward a team such as the Bills to create an incentive for anyone purchasing the Bills from Mr. Wilson or his estate to move the team to LA or some other city. Criticize Mr. Wilson all you want. It seems that you and Dan Snyder are just upset that Mr. Wilson is using the tools at his disposal. It would be wise for all of the owners (and you) to remember that we are talking about the National Football League. The NFL is not 32 distinct and separate corporations. The success and unprecedented growth of the League has been premised on a revenue sharing arrangement and cap given that they allowed each team to be successful and compete. This includes Green Bay, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo as well as the New York teams, Washington, Dallas, and Philadelphia. As a Buffalo Bills lifelong supporter and season ticket holder, I am glad that owners such as Wellington Mara had the foresight to appreciate that the League is greater than the sum of its parts. I can only hope that owners like Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones, and others will realize this as well.
  7. I was never a big PP fan, but we certainly have a ton of speed at WR. Between LE, PP, RP, and AD, we are going to be difficult to cover IF the QB can get them the ball and our line does its job. I may regret saying it, but we have some big play potential.
  8. I know that you did not mean it this way, but we certainly would be much better off than we are.
  9. At first, I had to check the calendar to make sure it is not April 1st. After realizing that this is not an April fools joke, my reaction is: why not? I was one of PP's biggest detractors. This is low risk though. He has some talent. Maybe he learned his lesson after being cut by two teams. We shall see.
  10. You are correct sir.
  11. To read your response another way: you agree with Ralph. The owners should have voted against the give away labor agreement. Thanks for coming around.
  12. How much time did Tags give them? As it turns out, everyone is saying the NFLPA took total advantage of the NFL's negotiating team. Tags should be embarrassed. I think that he was desperate to get any deal done so that there would not be labor strife when he announced his retirement.
  13. He voted against it. How was he late?
  14. I just cannot imagine Buffalo without the Bills. The Bills are an integral part of the community -- I dare say much more so than most sports franchises and their communities. There are a few other examples such as Green Bay. If the Bills were to leave, it just would not be the same.
  15. Nate probably would cover Andre Johnson.
  16. The team was horrible this past year. Attendance, on the other hand was very good. Although we had the ninth worst record in the league, we were ninth in attendance. That is pretty darn good given how pathetic the team was. Bills rank ninth in attendance
  17. We were pathetic this past year. Yet, the attendance was great.
  18. I agree with you. Yet, the NFL seems intent on placing a team there. My post presumes that to be the case. Given that, it would be idiotic to move the Bills to LA because of the fan support in Buffalo.
  19. It would be idiotic for the NFL to allow the Bills to move. We fill up the stadium even when the team is bad. The NFL would really be selling out if it allowed the team to move from Buffalo. I do not think that there is a team with a more passionate fan base. It really is better off just adding a team to LA and making the new ownership pay the franchise fee.
  20. Thanks. It will be interesting to hear the back story about why he wanted out so badly.
  21. Let's agree to disagree. In my view, DB was not the problem. It is and has been the offensive line for some time. The Bills should not give away jobs to anyone without making them earn it. JP has shown very little thus far. I just hope he shows something soon to give me some hope. I also think that the fact that the job was given to him without a competition did not do him any favors in the locker room.
  22. As I recall, he loved being with the Bills and wanted to stay. If it were not for TD/MM's brilliant idea to hand over the QB job to an unproven near rookie QB with any competition, he would have stayed with the Bills. I do recall that he was pissed about being told that his job was being given to Losman and he made a comment about not thinking that JP was better than he is. I do not recall him making any derogatory comments about the franchise or the city.
  23. Reportedly, EM is getting a $5 million signing bonus and $14 million over 4 years. How does that compare to what the Bills were offering? Did any of you guys read anything definitive about what the Bills were offering? For some reason, I am under the impression that EM agreed to a contract with Houston that he probably could have had with the Bills -- if he wanted to stay.
