  1. I could not find my favorite on the web. I liked it so much that I ordered a framed print. The scene is a courtroom filled with cats. The jury are all cats. The judge is a cat. Everyone in the courtroom is a cat except the defendant and his lawyer. As the dog defense lawyer is making his passionate closing argument to the jury of cats, he points to his dog defendant and states: "Does this look like a cat killer to you? Cat chaser maybe, but hey, who isn't?" Being a lawyer, I especially loved this one.
  2. RJ is great. All you have to do is listen to some of the guys calling the games for other teams on Sirius to appreciate just how lucky we are to have him.
  3. The Sens are a great team. No question about that.
  4. Yep. Unfortunately, it was not a funny one either.
  5. You can come off the ledge now.
  6. That really made me angry when they got that goal on the two men down. It was a BS call. Also, one of our guys lost his stick so it was functionally a 5 on 2.
  7. You should go to the Heineken museum in Amsterdam. I really enjoyed it.
  8. Great game. Our guys have lots of guts. To beat probably the most talented team in the league the way we did is fantastic. If we can beat them, we can beat any team in the league.
  9. That is great to be able to see Arsenal in their last year at Highbury. How did you get tickets?
  10. JP was hurt for a good portion of the year.
  11. I think that the Jets are, in fact, displeased with Willis -- the fact that he plays for the Bills.
  12. I had posted the following back in December when this same issue came up. Because some of you guys are obsessed with whether "long" runs are the mark of a great running back, let's put things in perspective. The following are the longest runs by season for one of the greatest backs to play for the Buffalo Bills and in the NFL: YEAR LONGEST RUN 1988 37 1989 38 1990 80 1991 33 1992 44 1993 27 1994 29 1995 49 1996 36 1997 24 1998 26 1999 10 2000 25 Guess who? (if you took more than a nanosecond to guess Thurman, you really have not been a Bills fan for too long)
  13. Whose turn is it? The daily trashing of WM is beyond ridiculous. As Kelly said in another post, give him the ball and then give him the ball again, and again . . . . As all of you who know a bit about football already know, Willis is not the problem with this team. If the o-line and QB play as well as Willis this year, we will have a darn good offense.
  14. My guess is that Dom (being the head case that he is) will not tell Brian Murray that he is ready to play tonight (even if he privately thinks he is ready to play tonight). There is no way Dom wants to lose the deciding game in a series (and perhaps his last game in the NHL) on Buffalo ice in front of Buffalo fans.
  15. What to do? We should stop these (almost) daily posts attacking one of our most valuable players. This is getting ridiculous. Actually, it was ridiculous a long time ago.
  16. I guess you have not been on this board for so long.
  17. There is no question that it is pretty simple to avoid getting someone pregnant. He should have been a lot smarter about this. By the same token, it takes two to tango. Let's put things in perspective, is WM the first person to have kids outside of marriage? Is he the first athlete to do so? Is he the first NFL player? Out of curiosity, do you think that there are some women who throw themselves/pursue famous and wealthy athletes and celebs? You should go out down here in Miami and see what happens in the clubs. Also, a lot of these athletes and celebs are all id with no superego. If I had millions when I was in my late teens/early twenties, Lord knows what trouble I could have gotten myself into. Nevertheless, I have managed to stay on the straight and narrow. I am not defending his actions. Yet, if you read the entire article, he says that he has learned his lesson. I hope so for his sake.
  18. Based on Losman's play last year, I have no reason to believe that he will not struggle. I really, really hope that I am wrong about this and he justifies the investment that we have in him. I also think that the Bills should play whoever plays the best during the pre-season. If that is Losman, great. If not, let the person who who wins the QB battle have a chance to see what he can do.
  19. I am curious to find out what you guys think. I know that there a lot of people on this board who thought it was a clean hit. Other people thought the opposite. Don Cherry and most of the media have characterized it as a clean hit. Personally, I watched the replay over and over again on my DVR and honestly believe that Schaefer hit him with the elbow/forearm. Yet, having played hockey, this play is an example of the old maxim that you better keep your head up -- especially if you are going across the middle in the neutral zone. I really like Connolly and the way he came back to play at the level he has played. I really hope that he has a speedy recovery and no lingering (physical or mental) effects from this play.
  20. I hate to say it, but I am not going to be spending any money to see him in any movies.
  21. Connolly has been great. As much as I liked Peca, I dare say that hardly anyone would trade Connolly for Peca straight up. I would like to see Connolly in a Sabres uniform for the rest of his career. He is getting better and better. He has some of the best hands that I have seen in hockey.
