  1. Great pictures. I checked out some of the other albums. You are a very good photographer. What kind of camera do you have?
  2. What do you think you could get for JP?
  3. Would any of you guys trade Willis straight up for TH???? There is not one GM or coach in this league that would do that.
  4. You are partially correct. Who was responsible for that miserable record?
  5. Unfortunately for you, it is all true. Don't let the facts stand in your way of your attempts to trash Willis.
  6. What he said. For some reason, there are some people on this board who have it in for Willis. I just do not understand it. Let's recap: 1. Willis had the strength of character to come back from what could have been a career ending injury. I am amazed he has been able to do what he has done given my initial reaction when I saw the play. 2. Willis is the fastest Bills RB to gain 2,000 yards in his career. Faster than OJ. Faster than Thurman. Faster than anyone else. He did this behind a piss poor offensive line. He also did this even though our brilliant coaching staff took him out of games on third down so often. 3. Anyone who saw the Miami game last year and saw the expression on Willlis' face when the Dolphins won the game knows that Willis cares deeply about winning and losing. In fact, he said, when Bills were out of the playoff picture, that the players have to continue to play hard for the pride of the players and the team. 4. Instead of bitching and moaning like TH did, Willis welcomed the challenge to compete with TH. 5. Willis comes from a good family in Miami. Yet, he did not grow up in white middle class suburbia as most of us on this board probably did. Just because he does not speak like you and me does NOT mean that he is not intelligent. 6. People have questioned his commitment to the Bills and from the moment he was drafted have been predicting that he would hold out and demand more money. Has he? No. Instead, he has bought a house in Buffalo. 7. Willis did not show up yesterday for a VOLUNTARY work out. Neither did London Fletcher, Troy Vincent, and others. Have there been other posts today dissing Fletcher or Vincent as punks etc. Of course not. 8. It appears that there are some on the board who have it in for Willis for reasons that have nothing to do with what he has done on the field. My guess is that it is some anti-Cane bias on their part. I also have seen the same thing when people go out of their way to criticize Roscoe Parrish. 9. I have a lot of concerns about the Bills. Willis is not one of them. I would love to see the offensive line and QB (whoever it might be) show as much as Willis has in the two years he has been playing with the Bills. If they did, we would have a very good offense.
  7. Sign him to a long term deal (as long as it does not destroy the salary cap structure).
  8. Mort already has started to complain about the Bills taking Brady Quinn.
  9. I read somewhere that both Fisher and Chow wanted Leinart. The owner and GM wanted Young. You already know who won that debate.
  10. Did anyone notice that there was a fog horn after the Roy goal? I thought that was pretty funny.
  11. Great game. Great come back by the Oilers. NHL playoff hockey is as exciting as it gets. All those NBA and NASCAR fans do not know what they are missing.
  12. I was thinking the same thing.
  13. With any luck, we have a coaching staff that realizes what kind of talent he has and will not feel the compulsion to try to deflect criticism away from the QB by calling out (unjustifiably) Willis. If the Bills use Willis as they should, it will only help out the QB (whoever that may be). I also would like to see the line give the guy some room so that first contact is not BEHIND the line of scrimmage as was so often the case last year.
  14. This game is a lot of fun to watch -- to the extent any of you are looking for something to watch on TV. This third period is just ridiculous the way the teams are going back and forth. It is fun to watch a game and not have to be on pins and needles.
  15. It happened to me.
  16. I do not recall whether that was the exact time, but I do recall reading that he had one of the top 40s if not the fastest 40 in UM history. The attached article says 4.28 4.28 according to this article
  17. Before we annoint any of the three the starter (and make the same mistake as last year), let's see what they do during camp and in pre-season. As for Leinart, the guy made all the right thows, was a fantastic leader of his team, and was tough. I think that he has a chance to be as good as any QB coming out of college. Whether what he did at USC will translate in the NFL, only time will tell. That is true with pretty much any QB coming out of college. Except for the money he lost, he ended up in a pretty good situation. He has time to learn, has two great young WRs, an all star RB, and a head coach with a pretty good offensive track record.
  18. You really have to give the guy credit for doing something that we would all love to do. Moreover, as you say, (unlike Mort), he does not have an agenda.
  19. Prediction: No matter what Marv does, Mort will B word and moan.
  20. It is going to be very, very interesting to see whether ML or JP turns out to be the better NFL QB.
  21. Very slim pickings at QB (other than Schaub). I sure hope that we do not need one.
  22. I was not planning on asking for his approval.
