For some reason, I thought that the NHL changed this to a per se rule. Does anyone know for sure? Do the refs have any discretion on this?

We should be proud of this team. We have a depleted team, because of injuries. We were playing on the road. We still outplayed those bastards. In the end, they had more goals than we did. Yet, I still like our chances. Moreover, regardless of what happens, I am very proud of this team. P.S. How in the world did they blow the whistle in the third when the puck was still rattling around in front of Ward after JH's shot? P.P.S. Have you noticed that each time the Canes change goalies, we have not scored another goal in the game?

I find it especially humorous given that it seems that all "The OSU" fans seem to come out of the woodwork to trash UM players (including Willis).

Let's keep in mind that these guys work up to 6 and 7 days a week from July through December.

I am not convinced that he will fail. I also am not convinced that he will succeed. I am convinced, however, that he was not ready to be the type of QB that the Bills' former "brain trust" thought that he would be last year. I really hope that he succeeds. Actually, I hope that all of our QBs play well and that one of them clearly wins the job, plays well, and contributes to the success of the team as a whole.

There is not a GM in the NFL that would trade Willis for Fred Taylor at this point in their careers.

What should the Bills (oops, I mean Jags) do about Fred Taylor? How dare he miss the Jaguars voluntary OTA. Doesn't he know that he should not be working out by himself in Miami, but that it is "mandatory" that he show up for "voluntary" workouts. The Jags should get rid of this bum. The next thing you know, he may show up on the NFL Network.

Thurman was the best all round player the Bills ever had. OJ was the best pure runner the Bills ever had.

He was great on defense. That is how he won so many games all by himself.

I hope that they do not hand the job to someone. We saw how that worked out last year. I hope that JP, KH, or CN wins the job outright and without any question so that we can get over all the QB controversies.

It seems like the people who rag on Willis the most are some of the biggest JP defenders. It is humorous that some people feel compelled to trash Willis in an attempt to deflect blame from JP. It reminds me of what Mularkey tried to do. I watched the show last night. Willis did say that he had a feeling that he was going to get hurt during the OSU/Terry Porter game. He said that the OSU players were going for his knees. (In fact, that is how he got hurt). Although Willis did not say this last night, some of you who have called him a "moron" probably do not know that he actually took out an insurance policy before the game that would have paid him somewhere between $2 and $5 million. Pretty smart if you ask me. He said that he cried and did not think that he would be able to play again. He said that he comes from a Christian family and that they all prayed. He decided to have the surgery the next day rather than wait two weeks as most people do. He started rehab almost immediately after he woke up. He is grateful that the Buffalo Bills gave him a chance. He likes Dick Jauron and thinks he is a nice man. He thinks that he is one of the top backs in the league, but not the best back. Stephen A. also thinks that he is one of the best backs in the league. Willis did not go out the way to trash JP or anyone else. Stephen A. kept on pressing the point that the Bills need a QB. Most of the people in the world agree on this point. The QB play last year was nothing to brag about. In the end, all Willis said was "I know." It is quite apparent that those of you who do not like Willis will continue to look for reasons to trash him. It is a wonder that Willis has been as productive as he has been given the poor offensive line play and the lack of QB production. How many times did other teams stack the line because of our lack of passing threat. How many times was first contact behind the line of scrimmage. If the offensive line and QB (JP, KH, CN, or someone else) play up to Willis' level, the offense should be pretty darn good.
