  1. Wouldn't it be wise to see what he does on the field during games before we write the guy off? As other posters have said, the guy also is coming off a serious injury.
  2. Amen. I would love to see him back in a Sabres uniform. He is a classy guy. I had a similar experience with him at a game last year.
  3. Now I understand the reason for this post. Some of you guys are upset with any metrics which show that DB is a good QB and JP is not so good. With any luck, JP will make better decisions this year and be the QB the former Bills brain trust thought that he would be.
  4. "Turtle" also is good on Entourage.
  5. According to NFL radio on Sirius, Marv has tried to call Whitner using four different cell phone numbers for him. According to Marv, he has not been able to get through. They all have been disconnected.
  6. Red Wings sign Hasek I wonder what the over and under is on Hasek having a groin injury.
  7. Raiders sign Huff This should speed the contract negotions with Whitner.
  8. I watched the first of the "lost episodes" last night. I thought it was pretty funny. I just wish that Chappelle would come back and do the show. By the way, it was clear from watching the show (as others have indicated) that the skits are ones that were done last year just before he left the show and have never shown on Comedy Central until now.
  9. Apparently, Comedy Central is showing the "lost episodes" on Sunday nights. I have not seen any of them, but I caught the end of an ad for the show. This was a great show when it was on. I presume the "lost episodes" are the ones that were taped before Chappelle abruptly left the show.
  10. You identified one of the many benefits of having the World Cup here.
  11. I would love to know what the two of them said to each other.
  12. Congrats to Italy and Meazza. Italy was great during the PKs. Calm, cool, and collected. I could not understand France taking Henry out so close to the PKs. Once it went to PKs, I knew that Italy had it. It will be very interesting to see what ZZ has to say. What a way to end his career. As another poster said, it was kind of like Tasker getting kicked out of his last game. Come to think of it, it would belike Jim Kelly getting kicked out of the Super Bowl to end his career. Unbelievable way to end a career. Forza Italia.
  13. Great match. End to end at the end of OT. Congrats Meazza.
  14. The New Orleans story was the first story when I originally posted. It may still be there if you scroll down.
  15. I guess we are all in agreement: F**K Portugal.
  16. Portugal has really pissed me off as well. I could not believe what they got away with during the Netherlands match. I really wanted England to win today.
  17. I have heard stories.
  18. I was in Northern Italy last year. Let me tell you, the people could not have been nicer. I would go back in a heart beat.
  19. Why are the French soccer players scum? They are damn talented. They do not take dives like Portugal, the spanish speaking countries, and (I am sorry to say) Italy. I will be supporting France and Italy in the semis (given that the US, the Netherlands, and England are out). Allez Les Bleus! Forza Italia!
  20. Congratulations. Forza Italia.
  21. I hate to say it, but . . . exactly.
  22. New Orleans may breach its agreement with Saints
  23. After such a great year, the Sabres had the chance to cap it off with going back to the classic uniforms and making the fan base happier than we have been in years. Instead, they chose a logo that is similar to the most recent one. I just do not understand why they did not go back to the old crest with the Buffalo and the crossed swords. That was as good as it gets in the NHL. I wonder if the Sabres had the same people who designed the Bills most recent unis design this. Oh well, I guess we will have to wait until September. With any luck, the Sabres will take notice of the reaction and make the necessary adjustments. I can only hope.
  24. My mother gave me this book. I had never heard of it and had no idea what it was about. It turned out to be one of the best books that I have ever read. I will not spoil it by going into the details, but it is about a boy who grows up in a privileged manner in Afghanistan, later moves to the US with his father after the Soviet invasion, is haunted by something that happened in his childhood, and later redeems himself. It is very moving. I also learned more about Afghanistan and its culture. If you are looking for a good book to read over the Fourth of July weekend, you may want to consider the Kite Runner.
