  1. I am not a Winston fan and am not as quick to dismiss the woman's allegations. Nevertheless, if her attorney's goal in filing now was a quick setttlement, that is not going to happen. Such a settlement before the draft (in my view) would send a message to teams considering draft a message opposite from the one he wants.
  2. 1) I have no issue with the OP starting a separate thread. I always wonder about why people seem to take such glee in posting that something is being discussed in another thread. Some seem to consider themselves the thread police. 2) I would like the Bills to bring Spikes back. He is a great team leader and run stopper. Let's also keep in mind that he has not committed any crimes. I do not know what part of the criminal justice system he is confused about, but I also would be confused by what happened to his brother (if as reported by an earlier poster).
  3. No heart? You got to be freaking kidding me. The guy played RB in the NFL with a high ankle sprain. Try walking around your house with a high ankle sprain.
  4. That is great. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Jameis Winston is no Andrew Luck. I am glad you are so sure that this kid is so great. I do not. Not at all. In my view, this kid just is not worth the gamble. Maybe you think so. I do not. I wish we had a number one pick to draft an Andrew Luck or an Aaron Rodgers. It really would have hurt not having a number one pick to draft a guy like that. Given that Winston is the one that is in the draft this year softens the blow.
  6. The good news given the wide disparity on views re Winston is that we will find out whether he is cut out to be a top pick in the NFL draft. If he ends up being the top pick (or a top pick), it will be interesting to see how this guy copes with inferior talent around him (relatively speaking) and having millions of dollars to spend.
  7. Count me among Rex and others who think Henderson played well for a rookie and has a lot of talent. I thought his pass protection was pretty good all things considered. Just my two cents.
  8. I am just glad that the Bills will not be in a position to even be tempted to rake him with a top pick. Silver lining.
  9. The last concert I went to at Rich Stadium was . . . the Rolling Stones. We waited all night long in front of a Record Theatre at Cornell. We got tickets, but they were pretty far back. The concert was a lot of fun though. The last time I saw the Stones was down here in Miami. I am tempted to fly up for this concert and combine it with a trip to Buffalo. I took my 12 year old to see U2 a few years ago. Perhaps going to see the Stones will be a continuation of his musical education.
  10. So true. As an aside, the Pegulas and Rex really seem to make a great impression on everyone. This will impact the team in many positive ways. So far, we have seen it in our ability to recruit players. It should also translate in our ability to keep players as well as success on the field.
  11. FWIW - I listened to this interview and the one he had with John Murphy last night. I am very impressed with Charles Clay. I should add that, if you did not get a chance to listen to Murph's interview with Joe Rose (former TE with Dolphins, Miami sports radio host, and color commentator for Dolphins broadcasts), you may want to do so. Joe could not say enough about Charles Clay as a player, teammate, and person.
  12. Very classy. Not surprising given how classy the Pegulas are.
  13. True. I hope he is working hard like CK. He has tremendous opportunity. Next year worries me as well. We have some very important players to re-sign.
  14. It is apparent from Vic's article that Rex likes Seantrel. He has said it before. I agree with Rex.
  15. It will be interesting to see how this affects home attendance - particularly for home games when the weather is bad.
  16. After you posted, I googled this as well. The original article from the website you link (that I never heard of before and which is linked in this article) uses the word "reportedly." I can say with 100% certainty that I have no idea how many kids he has at this point. There are articles that refer to three. He apparently was also on one of those Real Housewives shows according to one of the sites that google came up with in which WM denied having anywhere close to "seven" kids." I have no idea. I know that I have two kids and am married and that is a full time job. Whether he has three or seven or eight or nine or ten, he (as with Cromartie and all of these other guys) is only hurting himself - especially given the short careers that they have.
  17. I agree. I have to believe that a guy like Sharper had many women after him - voluntarily. That he did all of the things that he was accused of does make him a predator and a psychopath. It is horrible what some guys do to women.
  18. No, Willis does not have 15 kids. Travis is the one with his own football team, which sadly resulted in him doing some particularly foolish things to try to "solve" his child support issues. The last time I heard, Willis had something like three kids. While not particularly ideal or smart, there is no need to exaggerate. Unfortunately, this is not out of the ordinary for many athletes etc.
  19. Exactly. Sometimes I do not get the hate on this board.
  20. I agree. Joe does seem like a great guy to have a couple of beers with. He is very good on the radio and was very good when he was the lead sports guy on NBC6. I also like his college football coverage - especially being a Hurricane fan.
  21. Joe is very good. I miss him on NBC6 here in Miami.
  22. Why would he work at Hogan's house?
  23. Isn't he the one who was one of the big St. Doug promoters and had him going to the Jets etc.?
