  1. I always really enjoyed Bob's work. It is a real shame for him and his family as well as all of us that respect him.
  2. We can and should get a very good football player in the second round. It just won't be a QB. There is no point in wasting the pick on someone who cannot come in and play right away. That is why I like picking someone like a Clive Walford or one of the good guards etc. We can get good value for a player who can contribute this coming season. If we are going to pick a QB to develop, we should pick someone in the later rounds.
  3. FWIW RI and Eric Woods are friends. The guys in the Dolphin's locker room did not think RI is a racist. Pouncey and most of the rest of his teammates defended him and were upset that the Dolphins cut him loose.
  4. Do you remember when someone leaked to Tim Graham that the Bills training staff was behind the times etc.? My guess at the time was that Saint Doug was the source of the leak and it was his clumsy way of trying to get his way. I cannot find the thread right now, but there was a lengthy discussion about this on the board. In any event, apparently, the Pro Football Athletic Trainers Society and Ed Block Courage Award Foundation disagree with whoever was the leak: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-athletic-training-staff-named-NFLs-best-in-2014/52bd9403-5091-4b8b-bc46-5df68815eebd
  5. Keep Katy away from the Patriots' equipment manager. As for her singing, I have to say that she has a fine voice. She actually grew up singing in church and -- as far as I know and can tell -- is not like many, many other of today's singers who use that auto tune. She also is not known to lip sync like Britney Speers and many others have done in the Super Bowl and other events. I have to admit that, although I am a Beatles, U2, Doors, Led Zep etc. kind of guy, I do enjoy songs of hers that I have heard. I also enjoy them more when I can see her singing them.
  6. Good for Wade. He is a good guy. He will do well with that defense.
  7. Reunited and it feels so good . . . .
  8. I like Schefter (usually), but I just do not see it. Not only did Saint Doug embarrass himself and rub people around the league the wrong way, his new job is not exactly a platform to show what a "great" coach he is. I think the Jags are going to be improved. Nevertheless, they can just as easily go in the other direction with Doug and the rest of the staff losing their jobs. How would that look on his resume? P.S. Jimmy Sexton has really re-confirmed that he is a very good agent. He almost had people believing that chicken sh*t was chicken salad.
  9. We took our kids to Normandy a few years ago. Very, very moving.
  10. True. Was anyone on this board familiar with this guy (or had ever heard of him) before this week to even have an independent opinion?
  11. I find it odd when I read people either the Bills to fire people or praise the firing of the firing of older guys (which I prefer to view as experienced) without even knowing whether a guy has done a good job or bad job. Just my two cents.
  12. I think that I have read this thread about 1,000 times on this board. Each time, pretty much the same people say the same things for and against. To save time, I will just incorporate the same things I have posted previously in support of CJ.
  13. I saw that too. It seems as though there is confusion about whether he can simply stay on the team by not choosing to opt out or whether it has happened automatically. At this point, I have no idea.
  14. If you have never been to London, I think that you are going to enjoy your trip.
  15. Don't forget to register for the ticketmaster UK site on that site so that you can buy the tickets.
  16. I loved Bill Polian when he was with the Bills and hated when he left. Having said that, what is it with the Polian family and Marrone?
  17. That would be fun.
  18. I think that it is unlikely that the Patriots will be suspended from the Superbowl. I do think that they will be hit hard (e.g., suspensions, loss of draft picks, fines) given their history and what has been happening with the NFL recently.
  19. That is very funny -- for two reasons.
  20. As others have said, the title is misleading. I listened to the interview. What I got from it was that, while Rex was not at the top of the list going in (and it is unclear whether anyone was given that they went into the process with an open mind), Rex really impressed them and was the first one to be invited back for a second interview. In fact, he impressed them so much, he was hired and, by definition, was the first choice. As far as I know, Rex was the only person who was offered the job (or, for that matter, brought in for a second interview). As an aside, I think that Kim speaks well in public and on behalf of the Bills, Sabres, and community. Unless you are expecting someone to be Ronald Reagan, JFK, or even Tony Robbins, I am not sure what you want.
  21. If, in fact the Patriots broke the rules, are they not the most Nixonian franchise in the NFL. I am not being political. Nixon probably was going to win that 1972 election in a landslide regardless. Even knowing the probable outcome, Watergate happened. The Patriots are a great team. Belichick is a great coach. Brady is one of the best QBs to ever play the game. Yet, the Patriots always seem to do this type of stuff even though it is (for the most part) completely unecessary.
  22. I bought the club because I got tired of waiting for the lower bowl to go on sale, the price was less than I thought, and the location was pretty good. As for amenities, I am not sure, but I presume it is somewhat of a step up in terms of food options etc., but am not really sure. I will have to do some investigation on this. The big benefit may be avoiding the London rain in the event that it rains during the game. In any event, I think it will be a great time regardless of where you are in the stadium.
  23. Wow. It really made my day and weekend. Such a great win and team effort. I was really pleased not only with the result, but how the team handled such a big away game against a team like City. I was especially pleased for Santi, Coquelin, and Giroud - as well as Arsene. That game should set us up nicely for the rest of the season especially with certain of the players coming back from injury. It really is too bad that Debuchy is out for so long and as a result of a completely unecessary shove by Arnautovic -- typical Stoke Rugby Club. I trust you enjoyed the game as much as I did.
