  1. Norris is an 82 year old snow flake, Josh by a mile.
  2. i was able to listen to it for a bit on friday morning on NFL+ but when I went to listen to the rest this morning it no longer is an option.
  3. My thoughts are that it is not a magical season, yet. I am more focused on the here and now, after so many months I finally get to see the most entertaining team in the league play football again.
  4. Bocce's pizza, salt potatoes, corn on the cobb, Sahlens hot dogs and Nachos with mrs Roberts Habanero Salsa...plenty of alka-seltzer in reserve
  5. For the same reason why your dentist isn't your back up brain surgeon.
  6. Actually I think it is 2 yrs. Cal.Civ. Proc. §335.1
  7. How old is he? I just hope they don't replace him with someone who just reads stats out load or worse, spends the whole show talking about their gambling recommendations and/or their fantasy team. Doesn't anyone want to talk about actual football anymore?
  8. Yes, he was definitely not suspended. I was just wondering if it was a distinction without much of a difference. Or does a suspended player not get paid?
  9. what do they call it when a player is not allowed to play but is still on the roster?
  10. OCD is nothing to be ashamed of. You are not alone.
  11. You stole Fizzy Lifting Drinks, you bumped your head into the ceiling that now has to be washed and sterilized so you get nothing! You lose! Good Day Sir!
  12. Oh I remember Lamonica, especially after Kemp retired and we had no one to take his place. Great example of how a low completion percentage doesn't mean that mush if the percentage is low because the QB throws deep more often than not.
  13. Her name is Mazie though we have taken to calling her Mighty Mazie as she recently survived a battle with aspirational pneumonia. We almost lost her but she is made it through. In the past she has chased burglars out of our house and fought off two stray pit bulls that attacked my spouse at a park.
  14. I predict that in the future we will have readily available communication devices we can use to summon purveyors of on-call transportation with the ability to track our location so as to arrive in minutes to give us a ride home when we have had a bit too much to drink. And all at a relatively low price. And then we will never have to worry about these kinds of things ever again. Someday. Someday.
  15. And to think I was so excited to dig in to TBD today and see what was up and I run into this thread. Its like waiting for a breakfast of eggs over easy, peppers, crusty toast and bacon and instead being served a urinal cake...with pickles.
  16. I am all set as long as I don't retire before age 97.
  17. He has not turned out to be as good as we had hoped when he was drafted but he has been a leading tackler on a top defense, almost never misses a game, has been the QB of a very good defense and pretty much never leaves the field. You can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes, you'll find, you get what you neeeeeeeeeeeeed. Maine ain't going anywhere.
  18. I don't know. 1977 UPI AFC Player of the year, 2 x first team all pro, 6 pro bowls, NCAA Hall of Fame, won 2 out of 3 Super Bowls, only undefeated season in NFL history and an NFL Hall of Famer and NFL starter for 13 years. Seems like he was pretty highly rated. I grew up listening to what a great leader this guy was.
  19. Its good to see that after all this time people have gotten over Jason Peters and moved on. I guess time really does heal all wounds...well, almost all.
  20. In the hope that it may spare others from what we have been going through, I thought I should share how this all happened. Late Saturday on 6/25 which was crazy hot (99 degrees), Mazie looked lethargic, was uninterested in her food and was just not looking right. By the next day she added a weird cough to her symptoms, sounded like she was trying to clear some congestion. We took her to the vet the next day and they found that she had a slightly elevated temp, was lethargic, still not eating, drinking only minimally and was frequently coughing. We now know these were all symptoms of aspirational pneumonia. The vet felt it was just a reaction to some mild overheating due to the weather that Saturday. We were told just to monitor her condition, push fluids and try some bland foods like boiled chicken and rice. She started eating better when we did that and had a little more energy but still was coughing and seemed to be panting more than usual. After about 10 days of her going back and forth, getting better then getting worse, we noticed that her tongue was blue. That is when we rushed to the veterinary ER. The vets there were surprised that our vet didn't react to the elevated temp but also said aspirational pneumonia was a diagnosis that was easy to miss. Lessons learned? First, if your dog doesn't look right to you, something is wrong. No one knows your pup like you do so even if you don't have the knowledge to know what the problem is, you are the the one who knows best that there is a problem. Second, insist on an explanation for any abnormal finding, no matter how small and don't accept a guess like "its probably the heat" just because it is coming from a vet. Lastly, get pet insurance!
  21. 14,500 Thank you so much and I'm glad Annie had a long and happy life.
  22. Mazie is home!! High flow oxygen treatment was successful in getting her lungs opened enough to get her breathing solid enough to come home. She looks like she went through a war, lost at least 15 lbs. Her appetite is slowly coming back and she is on a fistful of pills twice a day. It will be months before she gets her health back but we are so grateful to have her back. home. Thank you all for your good thoughts that did so much to pick up our spirits during what was a long and dark week.
  23. Tiny bit of good news for Mazie this morning. The high flow O2 treatment is working as her o2 levels are now normal. She had been in an oxygen tent that only managed to get her o2 levels to 94%, w/out treatment it would drop to 91%. They will lower the o2 mix throughout the day to see if her good levels can hold without the high flow treatment assisting. Her temp is also down to 101.5, the best she has had since she was admitted last Saturday. Her lungs remain severely effected but they are even the tiniest bit better which is the opposite of what they had been doing. Not out of the woods and nowhere near coming home but today was the first bit of good news, albeit guarded good news, that we have had since this all started. Thanks again to all and keep the good vibes vibe'n Mazie's way.
