What I think you meant to say was regarding your 46" LED flat screen is this. What you are describing is a LCD screen Backlit with LED's. This advance was made many years ago eliminating noisy unreliable flourescent lamps with LED's. OLEDS are closer too what you describe but still are not conventional LED'S
