Let's update that 53 man bad boy!!
Best Player Available replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depends who the receiver is. A team has to put a practice squad player on their active 53 when you poach one. Marcus Easley was very comfortable sitting on the PS for most of 2012. -
Kate, usually leaves most men speechless. Scantily clothed or not she's kind of cute. I proudly fall into the that group of admirers. Some, probably remember the last Kate Upton thread on this board, when someone called her borderline overweight and predicted she would be shot in a few years. Maybe, but I would roll the dice and bet against that. I think she will fill out nicely as she ages.

Strategry is a very important part of all facets of life and sports. Maybe Brandon can add that strategy coach, after he fulfills his "analytics" dept. pipe dream with the team..........

All right you wordsmiths.

I would add, "Hot water 365 days a year with a new boiler installed up to code for your added comfort." Also, "watch, photograph, brown bears, learn to eat human food, in a neighbors dumpster. But, Beware illegal parked vehicles are towed." -
LASIK ... has anyone had it?
Best Player Available replied to CosmicBills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Bill Walsh raved about it. I don't know how too get in touch with him anymore though. -
I never heard their not happy with Mallet? Is that fan board chatter? Trade rumors yes during the draft period, since the hoody is known for that. I don't see tebow being an upgrade over Mallet.

Whatever, as long as I get my 24 million guaranteed this season I'll chase balls on sticks all day.

Byrd Skipping mandatory mini-camp
Best Player Available replied to mitchmurraydowntown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe I'm wrong here but didn't Byrd hit the cycle? Four DC's in 4 years? Byrd said it at the end of 2012. he wants to win, maybe he's not feeling it with yet a new scheme, DC, and a new HC. In the end he's probably expendable, judging by the Bills off season safety moves so far.Unless there's a season ending injury I cannot think of a single team that would do a sign and trade and give up a first for him. -
I can say this about Gimmie Shelter. Having seen the Stones multiple times on the 50 and counting tour. The 5/25/13 TO show's version may be the best one I ever heard the band perform. Being there was surreal. The audience was stunned. Even Keef banged out the opening riff correctly, and with proper timing, cadence and effing soul. No small deal these days. Bravo! Lads.

HOME OPENER HAS SOLD OUT

Maybe it was the ether. or the Mcguire club is full of prudes. The Kelly club while the seats not being as good in our experience has never been like that. Also, retired Bills seem to hang by the bar for division games. Biggest complaint I ever heard there is no coat racks.......... -
What's the point of an LED light bulb???
Best Player Available replied to Fezmid's topic in Off the Wall Archives
LED "light bulbs" as many know are Light Emitting Diodes. They have been around for many decades. They were first used on all sorts of electronic gear. (think the little red or green light when a stereo was on in the 60's 70's --to present.) The problems you think come from LED light bulbs is not the diodes themselves but the arrays they are inserted in and power supplies to fire them. Typically a led bulb will have between one and hundreds to tens of thousands (in an array) to produce light. These are mounted on boards and for outdoor use must have obvious protections from the elements. Special films are developed to spread the light horizontially. These are also likely to damage if the bulb is not designed for say outdoor use. Many people mistakenly will say the have a LED TV. This is incorrect. What they have is a LCD display with LED backlighting (which replaced miniature fluorescent tubes on latter RPTV and now flat screens. reducing noise, short life, and crap resolution. Apple, and many others are working on strictly LED flatscreens. Just one of the huge technical hurdles are producing square LED's since spreading the light again horizontally at this time requires specially optical films most of which many are still patent protected.and extremely difficult and pricey to produce. These films are all micro replicated, their "sidewalls" are measured in wavelengths of light so obviously the manufacturing process is complex. Really these films in some products are the reason some LED lighting is so pricey. But you get what you pay for. Orginally made in only red, then green and blue and now white (often referred to the RGB portion of a RPTV. This allowed them to become usable for all sorts of screens years ago Sharp developed a yellow LED and for awhile produced large flat screen TV (although still backlit LCD's) With the claim they added over one million new colors to the TV. In a exaggerated sense that is true. Many would rather describe it as just simple nuances on existing colors. The TV's are/were very impressive. LED's are the future in lighting for many reasons. their life is extremely long. They require little maintainence. Example is the McDonalds yellow M in northern California (at least) are all film spread LEDS. The cost saving in just maintenance is in the millions. We have 2 LED lights in the kitchen that have not been turned off in over 5 years. Both of them cost less than a quarter a month to operate. They generate little to no measurable heat. They consume very little power. A backlit 40" flatscreen costs around 15 bucks a year to operate. Lastly the technology is light. For those that owned plasma's then switched to LED backlit they know what I'm saying. -

Mario Williams: no love for

Subjective grading is all over the map, especially when there are so many variables involved. The "MAYBE a 7" seems low but personal tastes obviously vary. Since everyone so far has only fully clothed pics and some video of this woman to grade I respectfully submit a 8.5. With the possibility of a upgrade to a solid 9 or better if any nude pics can be made available for evaluation. I'd even being willing to take one for the team and do a hands on evaluation if someone will set it up. Mario I doubt would care at this point. -

Yes, club seats are worth every penny to get out of the mob and actually enjoy the game with decentperks, food, bathrooms, bars, and zero BS. At least that has been our experience. -

I remember when Brett favre was taking them on game day. He was interviewed on tv after he cleaned up.And mentioned he took 14 (I think I'm correct here) on gamedays. My thought was that's a lot of pills to keep one's head screwed on right and execute a game plan.Even that many to someone taking them for awhile is far from a suicidal dose, and apparently you can function at a high level on a ball field. He did. Long term leads usage and abuse will lead to organ damage but Taking 5 Vicadins is kiddy play. -
Buddy Nix Steps Down as GM
Best Player Available replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was initially hired as a boots on the ground scout for the Steelers, left for Seattle and went back to Pittsburgh with some new responsibilities. As a GM in Buffalo now. What he learned in Pittsburgh was most of his early basic NFL education. And maybe he should have simply answered it that way and left it at that.No need to say anything else. One would hope his 3 years with the Bills so far and level of responsibility is far more relevant than his early Steelers years. The Rooney family is committed to championships and always have been. The "Steeler Way" (I believe he used those words) is cool and all,and not to mention very successful. And saying that does put them on a pedestal. They do own a six pack of Lombardi's. The Rooneys would never sell off home field advantage. And, they are both small market teams. I still do not believe the Bills are committed from top to bottom winning. Otherwise the Toronto game sell off nightmare would not have been renewed by our new CEO. Doug W. seems to be like others noted a man who gives typical corporate schmooze answers and not much else. I don't have a issue with that. As you note he gave away almost zero practical information. I really want Whaley to succeed on his own and not to emulate a competitors method of success. I'm he sure he does too. No reason to give any other corporate competitor and ex employers a pat on the back publicly about their storied tradition of winning. Or at least mention in it in the press. I have to wonder what Donahue's response would have been if asked the same question when he came to the Bills from Pittsburgh? Best luck to Doug Whaley, I like the hire but there is no chance in hell he can copy or emulate the Steeler way. The Steelers are built on stability. The Bills not so much.I still believe the weak link is the new CEO.
