  1. Only 1 episode but like it so far...a little odd but funny. http://www.gq.com/story/hbo-animals-pigeons-rats-dogs-cats-horses-moths-people
  2. Return on Friday but it should all be melted before then. Pick up some Advil.
  3. Thx, that brings me back to something I used to do...snow skitching. For those unfamiliar http://skiernet.com/skitching.phpor google it for videos. My favorite recollections are when a driver knew I was on & sped up. Then my boots would hit a dry patch in the road & I would fall off & tumble and bounce on the road for a good while. Nucking futs but what a great time.
  4. At Reagan Airport right now waiting for a flight that will be leaving in an hour. Most other flights here are showing cancelled but not worried about mine as it's going away from Jonas. Easiest drive I ever had to DC today as most everything was closed and people were off the roads.
  5. First, I hope that Mort is able to receive a treatment that will send this cancer into remission and the best to his family in friends in dealing with this difficult situation. Now I would like to provide some feedback to your post. I work in Pharma R&D Vaccines & Oncology and our objective is to find cures. I have never seen suppression of research because it was a cure and not a treatment. I think you will actually see more 'cures' for cancer and other diseases developing like the recent Hep C treatments, Certainly those are expensive but it is being demonstrated that these treatments, which will eradicate the disease, are less expensive than the ongoing cost of clinical, surgical, and palliative care that would be alternatively provided. You make a valid point about staying healthy to assist in preventing cancer. But that is a good suggestion for inhibiting many maladies such as Type II diabetes, stroke, hypertension, etc. Though immunosuppression may have some type of involvement in catalyzing cancer, there may also be contributing factors from the environment and genetics among others. Some proposed treatments involve combination therapies for these factors. What is becoming increasingly evident is the mutation of cancer cells. In this case, the traditional treatment approaches become ineffective. it is becoming more apparent that personalized precision medicines (i.e., genes, proteins, etc.) are undergoing development as potentially more effective treatments. Newer targeted therapies based on your genome and/or the cancer genome are emerging, Lots of people working long hours trying to provide better treatments or cures for cancer,
  6. I am typically an optimistic fellow but the good Dr raises some points that are unrelated to scheme & roster. Hopefully, Rex can change but there's that whole thing about leopards & spots. I agree with Heitz and enjoy the game day experience regardless of a W/L. Longtime remote season ticket holder & the four of us are traveling 500 mi for the game this weekend. But my family lives in the area so it's also about that. Back on topic - would never give up my tix because we always have an awesome time but it certainly would be so much awesomer if the time between playoff appearances wasn't a generation.
  7. The OSMB was the band at the Bills-Jags game at Wembley.
  8. Great Yodaism timing with the new Star Wars movie this week!
  9. Can't help you on the Keurig but complete empathy about your child driving alone the first time. My son took a car to college & I found that even more difficult so you have that to ponder in the future. A couple of things to consider regarding your child driving your car. There are two options: 1.) Title/register the car in their name. He/she owns the car. This protects your liability but the cost of insurance will skyrocket. 2.) If the car title is in your name you may wish to have an umbrella policy to help limit your liability in the event of a catastrophic accident. This situation would be if something happened to someone else besides your child and you want to protect your assets in our highly litigious society.
  10. Interesting side note: I am traveling to the US from Istanbul right now and the Turkish govt delayed the time switch to next weekend due to the PM election today.
  11. Yes, all three previous Bonds, including Skyfall, are tied in.
  12. Saw it on opening night at the Odeon in Canterbury while in the UK for work. No spoilers: I enjoyed the movie but I am a Bond acolyte so not very objective. Rank it behind Casino Royale as far as Craig's Bond movies. It ties together Craig's Bond flicks. It's a dark & long movie but plenty of action. I thought the storyline was predictable but most Bond flicks are. Good fight scene with Bautista on train. Not that impressed with Waltz as the villian. The experience at the theater was great: Odeon employees were dressed in tuxes and you could order champagne. They passed out Spectre posters at the end to everyone.
  13. Kelly & Thomas wing eating contest on main stage. No time identified: http://www.nfluk.com/events/eating-contest.html
  14. Inexpensive way to get around London. Rent a bike (2£/$3) for 24 hrs and then pay for use. However, there is no use fee if you drop it off at a station in less than 30 minutes after you pick it up. https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/cycling/santander-cycles They also have a phone app to inform you of station locations, how many bikes are available at a station, and spaces available to drop off a bike.
  15. I will happily drive when the Bills start winning again regularly at home. That's an especially long and depressing drive after a loss.
  16. You make a good point and I can be superstitious. So, I can invite you to a webex on Sun and you can focus your computer camera on the game and share it and we can watch it virtually while I am at the game.
  17. Paul - you'd always be welcome if we were driving though I would probably have to pick up a bunch of Iomazenil https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01590277 but this time we are flying. Flying to London for work after the game and looking forward to NFL party, Bills parties, & Jags game next weekend...can't wait.
  18. C'ville is a great place. Going to see a show at the Paramount in Dec. I live in Ashland (Center of the Universe) VA and am going to the game this weekend, too.
  19. There was a drawing of Uggs next to it
  20. Expediting through US Customs (5 min) & 100% TSA pre-check
  21. Great to hear you'll be able to make it. Hope to see you there. Today, I posted in the London Tailgate Forum that I learned I would be going, too. The company I work for has asked me to do some work at our sites in the UK for a couple of weeks during which the game is being played. Although I will be in Cambridge and Canterbury, I plan to stay at the London Marriott Regents Park during the game weekend. Someone besides Leroi post about any Bills fan gatherings on Sat & Sun in London. Thx
  22. I just found out that my company has asked me to go our sites near London when this game is being played. This is just f!cking outstanding. I will be in Canterbury but plan to stay at the London Marriot Regents Park on Fri-Sun for the game. Any location Sat night/Sun before game where Bills fans are meeting? Thanks
