  1. Both of the "new singles" were horrendous last night. Songs seemed to be composed by Marketing "gurus" and not musicians. I thought the two were even going into the new songs, then Kat (after I backed her abilities last week) sang out of key no less than 5 times during the new song.
  2. The Bill would not have survived regardless in my opinion as their already decimated O-line was further struck with injury in the titans game, leaving us with a chasm of a problem giving any protection at all to either quarterback.
  3. Tunnel vison can become just as much the enemy of a critic as it can a myopic fan
  4. To me, it's always been Bruce. To do what he did, and do it in a 3-4 defense, is the the most incredible career performance I have ever witnessed. Once he was 3 years into the league he had zero weaknesses vs. run or pass and sustained that for a long, long time. He made D coordinators insomniacs and dedicate an entire gameplan just to account for him on Sundays. He beat double-teams with consistency and made everyone else around him better when on the field.
  5. Elliot and Chris were indeed always on key (good ear cable! ) though that is only one component. Elliot was lacking (IMO) in the tonal quality and dynamics departments, while Chris still needed to find a voice other than what has already been done by the lead singer from the band Live. Kat may have fell short on pitch for one or two quick moments during the whole competition, so I'd give her that considering all the other qualities.
  6. As somebody else implied, Reed had those "explosive" moves and he sustained that form for many years while Eric showed that form for approximately 1 to 2 seasons. I really am not factoring in the blocking downfield or the surrounding cast, or any of their numbers, just their individual play. I do respect that there was a difference there. I am also a huge fan of EM, and feel that he was certainly among the best Bills WR's ever.
  7. You are correct about those advantages and disadvantages, but all you need to do is look at game footage to see that Reed was still a better WR. Not 10x the WR Moulds was, but better nonetheless.
  8. Thats what I was saying though. I didn't reference her looks, just her vocal qualities. She is anything but "just another singer". Yamin sounds a lot more like "just another singer" to me. Or someone like me is "just another singer"
  9. I realize that all opinions are to be respected, but (respectfully) some of you may want to clean out your ears. Kat is more than just "another singer". She is probably the only one left on the show who's throat can qualify as a true musical instrument. She is certainly not perfect but has great control, range, sings in key, has soul, falsetto voice, and tonal quality. This is from a long time musician and singer with a very critical ear for what it's worth.
  10. Right after making a catch, theres was a sudden burst that he had where he was the fastest, most explosive man on the field for like a 20 yard area...
  11. Those were the days Definitely the best RAC Wr of all time.
  12. It's official... http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/MIA/9435279
  13. The "U" guys all practice in Miami. It's just what they do. The program they train under is tougher and more regimented than some pro programs. Let's not read more into it than necessary........ I know, this is a hopeless cause.
  14. But he IS better than the guy he replaced, even if only considering ball handling skills.
  15. Not so fast Fish!
  16. Regardless of how it's worded or the symantics invloved, Willis is the fastest Bill to reach 2000 rushing yards. Would I take thurman over him? Hell yeah! Would I take Travis over him? Hell no! I was one of the bigger Travis supporters in his day, but I realized the value of not fumbling and being able to make yards out of nothing, two of Willis's positive traits.
  17. LA, re: the comeback game... (mind you, I'm not discussing the point about Losman and starting experience in the NFL) 1- The Oilers didn't/couldn't run the ball with any consistency because they didn't really even utilize fullbacks or TE's in their run and shoot offense. They only ran single back delays and draws out of the spread formation. It's one of the major downfalls of that offense. 2- The Bills made the defensive adjustment in the 2nd half when Corey went back to his base 3-4 and put the best guys back on the filed to match up with the run and shoot, as opposed to a LB and a bunch of scrub Db's. 3- Reich was as cool and accurate in that game as I have ever seen a QB be under that much pressure. I'd be hard pressed to say it's merely a coincidence that he holds the record for both the biggest comeback in NFL history AND the biggest comeback in NCAA history with Maryland.
  18. True, it doesn't mean that you will, but if you don't put him in there and give him a string of games to start , you'll never find out.
  19. The part it seems you are missing is that most reasonable football fans understand that there are approximately 2 quarterbacks in the history of the NFL that showed consistency and success in their 1st , let's say 20 games started. People realize that JP made a ton of mistakes last season. They also see flashes of a wealth of ability and skill, and realize that they need to see a much larger body of work before he is written off. Hell, even Ryan Leaf got a ton of free passes early in his career.
  20. It's comments like this that will continue to warrant the vast majority of posters here questioning and challenging your takes. Of course, you knew that already though...
  21. I don't see any evidence of this other than what is the norm as far as the struggles of Qb's with little game experience. Your last sentence there is a snapshot that you are trying to make into a complete story.
  22. Like Bulger ?? So we're comparing ratings (a west coast offense statistic to begin with) of a guy in cleanup duty and a guy with 8 starts ever ? Meaningful stuff Clearly? Based on? Yes Holcomb can be ruled out of the upside dept but.... I'll give you that. So it's Nall, Holcomb or bust!! JP is just camp fodder?
  23. If you look at the whole season last year, an argument could be made that Reed was the most consistent. He had one bad game (San Diego) and did what he was asked to in the other games. This , along with the fact that he is our best blocker from the WR position is likely why he is still here.
  24. As you would expect with a veteran vs. a guy who has played a 1/2 season's worth of games. Gotta look a tthe bigger picture IMO.
