  1. I have never lost my voice during a non-football related sporting event until tonight What an amazing game and an amazing, clutch team we have! Their stick work in the offensive zone is second to none this season>
  2. Like they say, bad things can happen when you pull your chord.
  3. That's a common theory, and has yet to prove accurate over the 10 plus years I've been hearing it.
  4. Between you being out "west", the Tulsa time comment, and my schedule, I'll never see my latest free plate at Nicks!
  5. Mort was sitting at the desk with Berman and co. He knows nothing about what went on in the war room other than what was told to him second hand. Chris Brown is the one who was actually in the war room with the staff and it sounds like he saw their board and Whitner was right near the top.
  6. Ahh yes, from the Southern facing view in your office. I guess it is the left coast!
  7. When did you move to the left coast?
  8. Sometimes it's bad to over-simplify things , but I'll take a stab at it..... 1- This team was not going to become a success in one season 2- This team addressed it's biggest needs in a big way on the DEFENSIVE side of the ball in drafting 2 quality safeties and 2 quality DT's for the cover 2 scheme. 3- The O-line prospects in the draft had far less top-end talent depth and thus , based on the Bill's board, the O-line was not really addressed. 4- It's one thing to reach on Mel's "Board", but when you reach on your own board, you're in trouble.
  9. Safety was WAY more of a need than DE. I'll agree with you on DT and OL (though I say OG not OT)
  10. A quote from when he was drafted: In all, 21 linebackers ran, and their times were very good. There were guys who ran the 40-yard dash in the low 4.6s. Joe Odom of Purdue, a 6-foot-0 7/8, 241-pound outside linebacker ran it in 4.62 seconds. Angelo Crowell, whose older brother is Lions receiver Germane Crowell, ran like a wide receiver -- he weighed in at 246 pounds and ran a 4.65.
  11. Seems as though Crowell would fit that role perfectly. He's fast, has great range , and has a knack for coverage already (based on his play last year).
  12. Ahh the lost art of reading comprehension.
  13. From what I've seen, Troy has lost speed from the perspective of a cb, but still has plenty of range for FS. This and his NFL experience make him still a useful player IMO.
  14. Me too. Good thing were not implementing the 4-6 or any that resembles it.
  15. Just because? Does his height prevent him form being a good slot guy to you? He seems to work well in space, so I'm thinking his route running is atleast passible for a slot guy. Different strokes I guess.
  16. He's a slot WR. You're not going to ever get the production I assume you're expecting from him. I'm just saying there's no chance he'll be cut relative to some of the other, lesser WR's on out team. I also forgot to mention he was among the AFC leaders in punt returns for the time that he played last season.
  17. within 2 seasons, barring bust, Whitner and Simpson will be our starting SS and FS. Book it.
  18. Not a chance that happens. Parrish has great hands (likely the best on the team besides Evans), and he is our quickest/most agile WR. He actually progressed quite nicely last season after returning from injury. If some of you could simply get past your hangups with his height and your hate for the draft pick used to get him, you might see this.
  19. Glad to hear the good news Campy!
  20. Well I'll agree with you there then
  21. So we can now add you to the list of those who have given up on JP after 8 starts then? mmmkay
  22. Mort is still hung up on trying to make his buddy TD look good.
  23. we could always trade the two 5's to move back into the 4th if needed (if there are any takers)
  24. I suppose I would feel a bit better if I knew for sure that Preston could effectively handle both G spots. I'm not sure I'm there yet though... What about another DT tommorow to compete with Anderson?
