  1. That’s why I qualified “regular season.” I fully expect we will have to see them in the playoffs at some point. But neither team will be the same by then, anyway. Still gonna be a matchup pia.
  2. You gotta open the X link for the complete list. Falcons at the bottom for $2 a dog.
  3. We were in a 4-3 often last night, with Dorian Williams as the 3rd LB.
  4. If it’s any comfort, the Ravens are our worst opponent in terms of matchups, which football is all about. I doubt we will face a team as good as them, on both sides of the ball, for the rest of the regular season.
  5. Glad I’ll be in Atlanta for the Falcons game. I’m gonna get five hotdogs and STILL spend less than for one at Highmark.
  6. The fact that Josh threw for 250 yards in the 4th quarter alone is all we need to know how true that is.
  7. Per the bold text, Bishop is bigger than Micah Hyde. Bigger than Poyer, too. He just needs to learn the position.
  8. Exactly why it was good prep to face Lamar.
  9. It’s a game of inch.
  10. We will not see a bigger matchup nightmare than the Ravens. We need Bishop’s athleticism on the field as he continues on the learning curve. Facing Lamar last night was a good prep for seeing Fields next week.
  11. I hope so too, but high ankle sprains tend to linger all season. Same with Keon’s groin pull. But I don’t think we have the luxury of giving them the time necessary. Which means less than the best practice required to stay game sharp during the week. As for Samuel, I get the impression he’s in McD’s doghouse.
  12. Our WRs, some of whom are gimpy at the moment, are not all that. They couldn’t get open all night and Josh had to keep extending plays to give them the time to get open. It’s a work in progress is the best thing I can say about this group at this time. Allen is the definition of making chicken salad out of chicken crap.
  13. Not worried as Coleman is more involved in a trade with Carolina.
  14. Nice to see the Chiefs lose, but the world has never known a bigger liar than week 1 in NFL.
  15. You seem to think I’m arguing in defense of Beane, which I’m not. If you want to judge him on a portion of his body of work, fine. I agree his best WR adds were in trades since they were acquired, but Brown and Beasley were two good FA WR acquisitions, regardless. And we still need to see how Palmer and Moore end up doing.
  16. Yes, mixed. As for having to go all the way back to Josh’s second season, are we not supposed to judge Beane on his entire body of work? This is not a defense of Beane in the least, as he has more than his share of warts, but there is no denying that Brown and Beasley were solid FA signings at the WR position.
  17. Poor UFA WR signings? While the track record is mixed and school is not yet out on Palmer and Moore, John Brown and Cole Beasley say hold my beer.
  18. There was no tush pushing happening on that play. It was a fake QB keeper. Nice play nonetheless.
  19. The embossed bison on the sleeve is a nice touch.
  20. Total brain cramp on my part. Thanks for the clarification.
  21. First season was with the Ravens in 2001. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0446622/episodes/
