  1. I appreciate where you’re coming from but imo, 26-6 is exactly why it doesn’t make sense because those previous games have zero relevance to the next game. Pats*** haven’t had a QB this talented since Brady both physically and mentally. The kid can flat out play.
  2. I agree. But I’ve never taken opponents lightly, especially division opponents. We have a tendency to do that around these parts.
  3. Pats*** may not be the easy W many presumed previously. Maye can play.
  4. I can’t fault the coverage schemes too much as Miami has receivers that can kill you over the top and McD has sought to take that away every time we play them and quite successfully. Miami planned for this and sought to force us to lose discipline as they played short ball most of the game. The fact they were at a negative average depth per pass late into the first half bore this out. Heck, they were still just a little over three yards average depth late in the third quarter and didn’t get to over five yards, still well short of their average coming in, until late in the game when we backed off even more. And I think it’s worth noting that on several of the passes Tua hurt us with were when he was uncharacteristically extending plays with his feet and forcing DBs to hold coverage far longer than any DBs can be asked to hold coverage.
  5. In our jumbo sets Sunday night, Anderson came in and replaced Kincaid.
  6. Yep. Mahomes looked downright skittish at times, which I’d not seen in him before.
  7. I can’t argue your larger point about Tre and those concerns, but I have to disagree that it was the Eagles CB coverage schemes that played a major factor in their SB win. More than any single factor was the Eagles’ ability to get big pressure from four rushers and dropping seven in coverage that did more than anything else in making Mahomes miserable and that’s what got our coach’s attention more than anything imo. I think that was reflected in both free agency and the draft.
  8. Rest. 3 games in 12 days can wear on a team and we looked tired up front.
  9. Amazing when we consider 0 for the 70s. I mean 20 in a row is impossible to turn around right? Right?
  10. I’ve come to the conclusion that we are a spoiled lot of fans. Does anyone remember when we really sucked?
  11. Tua moved as well as I’ve ever seen him and kept plays alive. I don’t care how good your pass coverage is on the back seven, you are not gonna be able cover everyone for that long. Especially a group of WRs as good as Miami’s. Full credit to Tua.
  12. That 55% vs the Jest represents just 26 snaps. That’s a virtual day off. Heck, he’s only seen 61 snaps in the two games combined.
  13. Jest looking 0-3 squarely in the face.
  14. I never thought Micah wasn’t athletic and I’m only basing it on their comparable RAS numbers. But the similarities in their career arcs is interesting imo. Both played multiple DB positions in college, both 5th round picks, both asked to play nickel initially as pros while many projected Hyde as an eventual safety and are now doing with Hancock. I’m looking forward to his evolution as a pro.
  15. Not unfriendly in the least. No worries. And yeah, if the comparable RAS scores mean anything, Hancock’s athleticism is far superior. But we all know that doesn’t mean much if he can’t come close to Micah’s mastery of the cerebral aspects of the position which, again, is paramount in McD’s scheme of things. Looking forward to seeing Hancock put it all together eventually.
  16. TNF stands for Tua Needs Firstaid asap Be ready blue tent
  17. I don’t think I came anywhere near implying he is even close to Micah at this stage. I just notice similarities in their career arcs. Like Hyde before him, like every rookie DB drafted in the mid rounds, there is a steep learning curve to undergo. Especially in McD’s schemes. EDIT: I meant to add that Hancock shows superior athleticism to Micah at this early stage.
  18. I think he’s gonna be our next Micah Hyde.
  19. It’s not cold enough For Mike McDaniel to win Bring your own snowballs
  20. Clear visor is a better choice because the DBs need to see where you’re trying to look them off.
  21. All the athleticism you can ask for but William is too inconsistent for my comfort level and the best thing I can say about him at the moment is I hope he makes a liar out of me.
  22. Time to get Klein off the couch. Williams had a few good moments last season, but I can’t say he played well. He is a still liability more often than not as poor recognition, gullibility on play fakes, and over-pursuit continue to plague him.
  23. 26 defensive snaps yesterday or 55%. Good scenario heading into a short week.
  24. It’s much fun to bust on the ‘Phins Because that’s where the fun often begins With Tua turnin’ over the rock It won’t be much of a shock When we wipe off their crap eating grins
