  1. Good thing the Supreme Court struck down Missouri’s Second Amendment Preservation Act otherwise KC law enforcement may not have been able to prosecute the gun charges. It’s beyond ironic.
  2. The reason is that the decision was made to charge the Michigan shooter as an adult, which makes all the difference in the release of information. If the juveniles being held in KC end up being charged as adults, then more information will be forthcoming to the public about them and the investigation.
  3. Another reason why responsible, legitimate media outlets need to carefully vet and confirm their law enforcement sources before publishing names and pictures of suspects.
  4. Any respectable media source wouldn’t publish this photo before it is properly vetted. What is the source of this photo? Who corroborated with what law enforcement authorities to confirm this person is one of the alleged perpetrators? There are very good reasons, legal and otherwise, why respectable outlets follow these protocols. Not the least of which is to not compromise law enforcement during its investigation. Regardless, when information is confirmed by law enforcement authorities, pictures of all the suspects will be prominently displayed by media sources everywhere.
  5. I never came close to debating the 2nd Amendment in my response to the poster about accepting gun culture in America. You misinterpreted that all on your own. And if you’re really interested in all of us settling down, perhaps you could have just stated that in your initial response. But because you weren’t settled down when you read and misinterpreted my post, you chose to come out swinging with condescending crap about what I’ve determined about what happened in KC instead. Have a nice evening.
  6. I’m not interested in debating the 2nd Amendment. As I’ve said to another poster who took my words out of context hoping to further his own narrative, my reference relates my specific response to what someone said about what we accept about gun culture in America. The majority of us accept the 2nd Amendment while at the same time favoring sensible gun law legislation. Again, I cite Scalia’s opinion in Heller as what the majority of Americans favor as the polls have shown again and again.
  7. Right. Like your response to my post, which had NOTHING TO DO with the KC incident and where you try to put words in my mouth, was the epitome of a classy post.
  8. I haven’t determined a goddamn thing! My response was to the question of what we accept regarding gun culture in this country. Take your search for someone to argue with to somebody who gives a flying F about debating the issue.
  9. Majority of Americans accept the 2nd Amendment and agree with Justice Scalia’s opinion in Heller that while we have a right to own guns, it is NOT an unlimited right to own every firearm in existence. Majority of Americans favor sensible gun law regulations and do not embrace the wild west gun culture we have currently. Poll after poll after poll bears this out.
  10. I’m not surprised. Despite what the prevailing level of cynicism in this country would have us believe, there are many decent people who would try to make a difference.
  11. Pretty sure the “good guys with guns” argument was put to bed in Uvalde when over 70 good guys with guns just stood in the hallway doing nothing. That said, the vast majority of police and other first responders in these situations run towards the danger trying to make a difference.
  12. Which one? There are just so many to choose from.
  13. Josh Allen will never play a down against Pat Mahomes. If Josh needs to mentally overpower anyone, it’s Spagnola and Co. on the Chiefs defense, who were the real MVPs on that team this season.
  14. Does the one inch, five pound difference between him and Hyde make that much difference? Could Tre carry an extra five pounds if needed for the move to FS? There’s a lot of conjecture regarding Tre White, but the idea of just letting him go without knowing his rehab status is shortsighted at best. I wouldn’t count him out, regardless.
  15. Butker and Elliott are better kickers, imo, but that’s not the point. The point is that Highmark is the worst stadium in the league to kick in. The wind conditions are notorious for their unpredictability as they often blow in opposite directions in one end zone vs. the other and the swirling winds can literally change from the time you’re lining up to kick to the time you kick the ball. As such, unless he was battling an undisclosed injury of some sort, I wouldn’t expect radical improvement from Bass, especially later in the season when the winds off the lake really pick up steam.
  16. A defense that gives their franchise QB a chance.
  17. Very thin line between respect, envy, and hatred. I’m choosing to stick with respect.
  18. Bass has two more years of kicking in the worst stadium in the league for kickers. Ask Justin Tucker, the best kicker in history, how he feels about kicking at Highmark in January.
  19. I deleted my initial response to this post because I decided I was not gonna take your bait. Suffice to say, you’re making way too much out of my post. Have a nice evening. I did reconsider as my thanks to the poster who provided much needed additional information indicated. I’m glad that Mahomes Sr. will be held to account because his habitual behavior is a ticking time bomb. Glad the TX authorities recognize that.
  20. Guess it depends on who’s breaking them.
  21. At least his third charge of DWI? That qualifies as a menace, but Texas doesn’t give a flying !@#$.
  22. In reading this thread, I really appreciate all the humor being in the same vein.
