  1. Which is why I have no respect for the man. None at all. They can complete each other’s sentences.
  2. We hated him for his cheap shot antics with our DBs who frustrated him all day. Being the classless jerk he is, he resorted to the cheap shots.
  3. I’ll get to that right after I’m done watching the wide right, homerun throwback double feature. I have to keep telling myself, “it’s on,y a movie, it’s only a movie, it’s only a movie.”
  4. And yet the Jest weren’t a very good running team as their league rankings reflect. I’ve liked Crowell since he was with the Browns and he can bust a long one on occasion, but his gaudy 4.8 last year is a bit deceiving.
  5. Good point. The Jest couldn’t run the ball last year and I don’t think adding Osemele is all of a sudden gonna transform them into a rushing power house. I can see Bell getting frustrated early when he realizes this ain’t the Steelers line he was used to.
  6. I always look forward to the stream of consciousness twitter reports from the various sideline scribes in attendance that spark the TBD angst. It's a special time of year.
  7. I wish I could see ERod as a top 6 forward, but I don’t. He disappears for long stretches. I like him and my hope is that enough talent pushes him down to the bottom six role I feel he’s more suite for. 2.5m seems a bit steep to me, but it’s the NHL and salaries are escalating, so in a short time it could look like a steal.
  8. Ehlers for Risto? Yes please. Roslovic and/or Perrault would add absolutely nothing.
  9. It should have said, “ caution, this coffee is hot enough to cause 3rd degree burns and require skin graphs to repair the damage.”
  10. While I appreciate Drake’s contribution towards giving us a way to wrap our thoughts around the sheer magnitude of the question, the purist in me simply cannot label this as an “equation.” Just too many assumptions. Like you said, we simply don’t know what we don’t know.
  11. That is awesome that you have those blueprints, etc. They are testaments to your dad’s work and a treasure to have.
  12. In addition to taking the technology for granted, I think we take the sheer human brilliance for granted even more. Thousands of mathematicians, physicists, etc., using slide rules to calculate with great precision the orbital mechanics involved. It took them a little longer to compute vs. the fraction of a second it takes a powerful computer of today, but they were just as accurate. Amazing display of human capability. To think we have to suffer the flat earth and other science denying idiots 50 years later.
  13. Like the old saying goes, leadership isn't about getting people to follow you, it's about getting people to join you.
  14. Of course. Especially with black knee socks and a white speedo.
  15. JJ Watt for starters. If the measurement involves getting killed in a plane crash while in pursuit of your humanitarian efforts, I hope nobody ever has to go that far again.
  16. That’s true and while I understand that what he does may not be a violation of the rules per se, he isn’t above violating the “spirit” of the rules when he gets a chance. Like a couple years ago when he bent them with his substations vs. Baltimore in the playoffs. I don’t respect that about him at all.
  17. This is all very true, which is why any coach I've ever spoken to at ANY level, including the NFL, to a man says it's always about PLAYERS and their talent first and foremost. Schemes are nice, but TALENT wins more games than anything else. I suspect it will always be this way. But the talent gap at the top level is minimal. There are great players on even the worst of teams. Belichick is simply the best their ever was at mitigating poor execution. He's also unequaled in in-game management. He starts managing the clock in the first quarter, for crissakes. His peers don't even consider it. And don't get me started on his field position management, either. Like the old saying goes, he's playing chess when all the rest are playing checkers.
  18. Right? Right what? I'm not trying to make a point here one way or the other. You asked what Belichick's record was without Brady and I simply furnished the information you requested. You're welcome.
