  1. Keith Richards will also be 76 in December of this year. That’s 167 in drug years.
  2. I agree. While I’m not sure of the advertising ramifications, it seems like they could do a simple flip flop of show times when the Bills are scheduled to practice before noon.
  3. I had the opportunity to listen to Allen’s post practice interview on ‘One Bills Live’ today and he continues to impress with his deft ability to think and answer questions on the fly and with solid insight. His intelligence is noticeable every time I hear him speak. Every. Time. And to have those kinds of smarts along with such a humble personality is even more impressive. Reminds me of an old saying about the man who isn’t doing push-ups, he’s pulling the world towards him instead.
  4. Haha! Certainly could be with the beard. From now on, Daboll is Mr. French to me.
  5. What about the positive reports? Should we be surprised? I’m not sure because I’ve never seen you comment about a positive development. Ever.
  6. Beasley is short enough without having to make it more difficult to find him by sitting down. Daboll needs to have a talk with him.
  7. Blocking, definitely. At least at this stage of their respective development. Hockenson has very good technique already.
  8. He said the pass could have been better. Sealed his fate with that. Additionally, he was involved in a scandal regarding taking payments from his agents before he graduated and these were the same agents who were target of federal investigation for improper dealings. So suspicious were they, that Big 10 officials and the US Prosecutor reviewed tapes of Harmon’s four fumble and a dropped TD pass in the Rose Bowl to see if he might be involved in throwing the game for money. To this day, there are die hard Iowa fans that are convinced he did exactly that. Harmon was under a cloud and Polian, Marv, and the rest of the team were ready to move on.
  9. Yep. He was as good as gone the moment he made that comment.
  10. No. He was bad news.
  11. Spot on. We are talking “football” character, not choir boy character. The first element of football character is an unyielding work ethic. It’s that simple.
  12. Sabres are super tight with the cap at just a hair over $3.1m of room and they still have a couple guys to sign like McCabe and Ullmark so perhaps they were hoping for a lower amount to be awarded. That half million is significant when you’re up against the cap. Methinks JBotts will be making some moves very soon.
  13. That’s a good one for sure. Here’s another:
  14. Yeah. We’d get our daily reports from Felser, et al, and digest and ruminate at a more leisurely pace. Concerns, both mild and major, needed time to manifest. Now, it’s a new concern every couple of minutes as every reporter strives to bring something new to the observation. It’s absurd.
  15. And so the stream of consciousness twitter reporting begins! I can feel the zen.
  16. It’s my understanding that the Bills focused on receiving exclusively when they put him through a pre draft workout down in Florida.
  17. Yep. And I’m not even remotely close to suggesting otherwise. Talent without that work ethic is useless. It’s what separates the good from the great. If you can name one great in any sport that didn’t have a superior work ethic, I might reconsider.
  18. All due respect, that’s a load of crap. If you feel a solid work ethic is no longer in vogue and not essential as the foundation for success, you have little understanding of team building dynamics.
  19. I would reiterate that it’s not about following him, it’s about joining him.
  20. I’m not losing any sleep, either. As much as we like ERod and some other players, the simple fact is they are readily replaceable, non impact role fillers and little more.
