  1. 3 of our 4 penalties were bogus. Both holding calls plus the 15 yard unnecessary roughness on Rapp for his tackle on Mostert were bs. Mister lowed his head into rapps face mask. I guess that’s what happens when you get a bad Rapp with the officials.
  2. This take aged poorly my guy. Beane actually went out and found a good WR unit to pair with a very good TE unit, RB unit and OL. and there isn’t a 7th rd rookie WR that could have had the same impact that Mack hollins has had on this team. people love to hate, so many will hate on Mack, but he’s been a good signing.
  3. AJ and von are “terrible”. Lol And some people forgot that we didn’t have Taron or Bernard, lost Rapp to a concussion early AND played a light box the entire game. If we play Baltimore in the playoffs, I believe that we’d play a heavier box.
  4. I was scared 💯 but the only choice was to kick it. Great decision imo
  5. Agreed. He’s one of the better route running RBs in the league and is a threat to take it to the rack any time he gets the ball. I agree that they should get him more involved and the passing game is a great way to do that
  6. Had a TD. Brutal drop by Keon
  7. No benford or cooper….. vegas knew. Was going to hammer for them at the book but my buddy warned me that Vegas knew someone would be out.
  8. The way you post, you’re bound to get lots of eye rolls
  9. no sieler, holland or Kohou Sucks for them
  10. I feel bad for Garrett Wilson. Such a stud, trapped in this mess
  11. I’d rather have two great corners and 2 mid safeties than the opposite. Our corners were bad- Levi and Dane were our corners in the playoffs most years. Now we have one of the best corner duos in the league. Poyer and Hyde were great for a few years but our safety play had declined the previous 2 seasons. while I was scared of rapp (and I’m awaiting a big blunder from him) and not happy about Damar starting they’ve been about as good (if not better) playing safety as Dane and Levi played corner. i think the secondary level of play is actually better now, because Taron continues to improve. The secondary may seem lesser due to Cam being continuously picked on
  12. Benford limited with a wrist. Never like to see Benfords name on the injury report
  13. One word: Motor. He was too often unable to make the defenses pay for the shell. He couldn’t do enough damage underneath. Hence the investment in more rac ability across the board
  14. Agreed- He’s just their type of guy and Josh has the utmost respect for him. I’m thinking they want to anti up 20-22M per. That’s 8-10M less than Amon-Ra. While he’s not as good, he may think he’s leaving too much on the table. 23-24M might be too rich for their tastes, rightly so……unless he shows more and continues to improve
  15. If cooper plays as he did just last season with Flacco, Keon even slightly improves and Shakir continues his current play I think we have a good WR unit. Not great by any stretch. A proven X that excels down field as well as slants. One of the better slot WRs in the league. A physical mismatch that can hurt you after the catch and in jump ball situations. I don’t think you have to have an elite WR to have a “good” WR unit. then add in the TE, RBs and OL and Josh/Brady have a nice group of playmakers all over the field. Lots of pressure on McD to get it done this year. I think we have the talent if the right guys stay healthy. But that’s a big IF Sure, if anyone disappears down the stretch the group won’t be considered good. But why would we assume anyone would disappear? Last we knew, Cooper was a very good WR. Now he’s joining the best QB he’s ever played with and a solid group of playmakers around him.
  16. I couldn’t understand his fall. I thought he was best served in the slot but he made a ton of plays on the outside so I thought he had a chance to play outside too. Definitely not ideal but I think he could be an nfl WR outside, just not a very good one. He had a very good release package that I thought would serve him well. I was actually at the draft when he (and Benford and Araiza) we selected, sitting in the front thanks to @Jamie Nails coming out to the entrance and bringing me in ViP style. Something I’ll always appreciate. Sitting next to @Mark Vaderat the time of the Shakir selection, I remember telling him, THAT’S the best pick in the draft!!! I was super excited. I hadn’t heard of Benford and remember sighing at the pick
  17. I’m not only talking about this offseasons discussion. Arm length was heavily discussed as to where he was drafted. I had a low 2nd- high 3rd rd value on him. I wanted to hear his name in rd 2 (after other WRs I liked more were gone).
  18. We can conclude this at the end of vons tenure. If we win a Super Bowl and Von makes some critical plays along the way, Von is clearly the better signing If we don’t, Mario is
  19. Jets- - potentially better playoff seeding for us - worse draft pick for the Jets
  20. Adding on comparison of play making units Josh has had. I’d take Shakir over Beasley every day of the week. While Cole may have been a bit more cerebral in in knowledge of zones, Shakir isn’t very far behind him. Slight edge to Beasley in that regard. not that Beasley had poor hands, but Shakir has him beat there imo. the YAC with Shakir is just in a different stratosphere. He makes the first guy miss in almost every one on one. He’s short area explosion and start stop make him special in that regard. Then add in his strength and squatty body, you have the perfect slot WR. The added dimension of screen pass success to Shakir (vs Beasley) is just another layer of production that sets him apart. people can talk about arm length all they want- just watch the tape. He’s a stud. Prime diggs is definitely better than 2024 cooper, but cooper is a better field stretcher and his size/attitude is more beneficial. Keon is better than Gabe. No doubt McKenzie vs Samuel goes to McKenzie based on current production with the team but that could change. John Brown/sanders aren’t really the correct comp for Hollins. They should be compared to Keon, while Gabe compared to hollins. Either way, the past version are way better WRs than Hollins… but Hollins serves his purpose. Our past teams lacked in one area specifically- short game run after the catch. No one was worried about Our RBs, TE, Beasley, Diggs, Brown or Gabe running after the catch. Opponents shelled us to death and we could do nothing to combat it at times. While our play makers are much better running after the catch based on their physical traits, Mack and Keon (plus Kincaid,Knox) really help open things up for them. Hollins routinely takes his man out of the play. He has a niche in this offense and I expect him to still make a few big catches as the season goes on. The physical size and nature of our WR room is much better suited for the cold weather come playoff time. add in: TE and RB rooms aren’t even comparable. OL- better than solid, but I wouldn’t call them great. Either way, an upgrade.
