He’s not fast for a WR. We’re saying that he has enough functional speed to be big play threat and more than enough speed to be a good WR. There are many WRs with similar speed that have had great careers and weren’t always labeled as slow

Our offense, we’ll see once Cooper gets acclimated. We’ll see if Brady can avoid his terrible stretches of play calling. Right now, the chiefs have the advantage due to Reid and Spags (just as they always have), but we can beat them (just as we always have in the regular season). Given that it’s a regular season game, if we’re 8-2 playing at home, it should be a push at the least, maybe advantage Bills. Do you think Miami is a threat to win the east? Do you give them a 10% chance to win the division? Maybe lower?

Were you thinking that after the first quarter? The first 3 drives were embarrassing. Brady has lots to figure out still. to your point, I agree that we can contend right now (if we remain relatively healthy).

There’s more to it than just learning the playbook. You can know the playbook and not know it nearly as well as someone else. One guy may be much better at making the calls. May be more nuanced in know situations. It’s not like Edwards was ever really good. He’s always been jagish

I think you’ll be surprised how much Bernard and Taron mean to our team vs the Ravens. They make plays. Cam Lewis and Spector, not so much. Stay healthy, execute a potentially solid game plan and make plays. We might not shut them down so to speak, but we can hold them to a lower score than us.

You don’t think it has anything to do with Hamlin knowing the calls and playbook much better than Edwards? I’d wager that that’s a huge part of it. We’re talking about McDermott here. If you are playing in the back end of the defense, you best know where to be on every play.
