Good, the Ok,and the Ugly from day 1 of the draft

DHop looks uninterested and washed up IMO. He would also be a lot more expensive than going with a promising rookie. -
Good, the Ok,and the Ugly from day 1 of the draft

Gronk did have a back issue in college. It is also why his career was a lot shorter. That’s why I said KinKaid MAY have a shorter career than he should. Mind you Gronk needed to learn to go down some times instead of fighting for an additional yard or two. IMO they are just OK just as the Pats WR room is Meh as well.. no one special in that group.. I can’t remember a time Rogers was good where he didn’t have an elite pass catcher with him.. I mean Wilson, rightfully got trashed last year but that O had many other issues like guys blocking air and NO ONE getting open. I wanted a WR, but CB was also a huge need as well. Hopefully they get a pass catcher on day 2, I wouldn’t mind Meyers or Washington… at TE IF Hyatt isn’t available. If they get Gonzalez then Hyatt in the first 2 rounds I’d dance a jig.. although I also like the size of Tillman(?) from Tennessee as well. -
Ok here are a few thoughts on the draft: Good (Amazing): Eagles — That D front is going to be scary AGAIN next year, I almost feel bad for Dak facing that front twice. They got an absolute STEAL with Carter at 9. Ok:(above average) Bills - I like Kinkaid but I believe he has back issues? Doesn’t mean he won’t be amazing but could make his career a lot shorter than it should be. Pats — I was hoping for a WR, but getting IMO the top CB in the draft while also sticking it to the Jets… made this pick awesome for me. My biggest concern is how young he is and how soon (if ever) he hits his potential. Ugly: Washington — They took a CB who is vastly undersized and will take time IMO to make an impact. Made worse because they chose him over at least 2 better prospect in Gonzalez, and Porter. I’d have broken my TV if that was my team. (Like I did last year w an unknown guard pick) Will Levi’s — rumored be top 2 pick and doesn’t get picked at all in the first round. By far an ugly and sad day for him. lastly Confused: Jets — You just got Rogers and you know it’s a 2 year window and yet you still don’t draft a WR for the guy? Instead you get another D lineman.. makes little sense.. Rogers is older he needs playmakers around him. (Imagine if Seattle had gotten Rogers instead.) let me know who your thoughts are

Your one, and only one, draft hot take?
PatsFanNH replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pats trade down and take the best available OT. BB later stated he did this because he hates all these Gen Z kids affirming he is a cranky old man. Lol -
True! But it was also his first year without a top WR in well ages. So IMO part of that could have been him adapting to not having Adams to throw to. I think most QBs struggle when losing their top WR and his best WR in GB was out a lot last year.
-
IMO this is the Jats pushing everything all in to win a SB this year, because he is maybe a 2 year answer then back to QB hell. I see them falling short against KC or even perhaps the Bills… but if I was a fan I’d be all for it.
-
IMO Allen will still be a very good QB when his legs are not a huge tool for him anymore where hurts will quickly decline.. one bad leg injury and IMO his career is over for Hurts.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
PatsFanNH replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with him as far as Mahomes goes. That man at that time only losses in the playoffs were to Brady. He could have gotten a lot more if he wanted to, maybe he like Allen saw how BIG deals hurt the team.. look at Rogers, always got top tier deals but has won 1 SB and the Packers always under perform in the playoffs. While Brady took less and constantly was in the SB and championship games. -

PatsFanNH replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol so true! But let’s be honest it’s Kraft who would say No it’s real money and won’t agree to that. Add to it LamR injury history and any team be dumb give up 2 1st and all that guarantee money for someone that’s game is based mostly on his legs. -
Same yards per carry and Harris has like 3X the workload… but you think they are the same? (Face palm)
-
He is a beast when healthy. The key is keeping him healthy. IMO he beat Buffalo in that weather game a couple years ago.
-
I think they will use him more as a receiver than a blocker.. heck neither of the TE my Pats have are a top notch blocker. Both are good receiving TE. Just for 1 year my guess is they draft a TE like Washington in the draft.

GB demonstrates how NOT to do it with QBs in the modern NFL
PatsFanNH replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why? Because he is a first ballot HOFer.. literally won the NFL 2 years in a row.. that was a silly question!! Your assumption is Love was ready go these last 4 years.. the truth is they were thinking re pray what they did with Farve with Rogers.. will it work? Maybe and only a damn fool moves on from a great QB to early.. -
GB demonstrates how NOT to do it with QBs in the modern NFL
PatsFanNH replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow! What they squandered was perhaps Rogers career by being dumb and drafting Love instead of someone who could actually help the team the last 4 years. Drafting Love when they did would be like the Pats drafting a QB in the first round while Brady was still around and going to the AFC Championship game like every year.. just dumb! Now if they had done this say 2 years ago then it’s smart especially if it’s a raw talent that needs be refined especially with Rogers talk in g about retiring for the last what 3 years? -
Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
PatsFanNH replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fancy lawyers find ways get evidence removed. See Kraft,Robert for an example of that. Lol 2 people Died because THEY were drag racing and has ZERO to do with the charges brought up on him. Again assuming he didn’t hit them to cause the crash.. I’m thinking you feel since 2 people died because of their own actions will make these charges bigger or more important. They won’t. A good lawyer make sure of that and the DA will plea it down to a small fine and probably community service.. which isn’t much less than what these misdemeanors call for. You’re all tied up about 2 people dying, because of their own actions as a reason they will prosecute harder. Your wrong IMO. -
Well per Turbo Tax NY had the 7th highest personal income tax rate while states like Florida and Texas have NO income tax. So I’d say that’s significant. Who says he has to live in Miami? He could just drive to work like most people and players and be in a lower property tax area. Also there is a billion things more to do in Miami than Buffalo or the surrounding area.

Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
PatsFanNH replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
my main point is that there is a 95% chance he gets off with nothing and or the charges are dropped.. Money talks in our judicial system, if you can afford a great defense you will usually get off. For examples see Simpson, OJ. (lol) Also not sure was you WEO or someone else thought these were major charges, the charges are minor at that UNLESS they think he clipped the other car to make it crash. Drag racing is a $50 to a $500 fine and well reckless driving you can get up to $1000 and 12 months in jail. Seeing as they are both first offenses I see an easy plea deal for community service and telling HS kids the dangers of drag racing or something. what this means is he may fall far enough for a good team get a great defender for their D line. (Imagine if he fell far enough for your Bills to get him) -
Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
PatsFanNH replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol they were examples… You assume guilt based off of a video… also city cameras are 95% just take a picture and are usually poor quality.. depending on the city of course. I always hate it when people assume guilt based off of what the police say.. that’s not the hole story and everyone is innocent till proven guilty and most people with money can and do get off. -
Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
PatsFanNH replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
A good defense lawyer just peed himself laughing reading your post. Lol There are many elements to consider.. 1. How did they get the video? 2. Did they have a warrant? 3. Is the video untampered with? So on and so on. Fact is guilty people get off all the time and innocent people get convicted all the time too. The difference? Money! And this kid will have more than enough for a great Defense. -
I hate Goodell but this is all smoke IMO, he signs off on everything and does so on behalf of the other 31 owners. It would be very hard if not impossible to prove he knew the loan was fraudulent. Why would he think that? 55 million is pocket change to all the owners who are billionaires. Probably why they refused to investigate as well.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
PatsFanNH replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why would any team do this? I mean I know someone will, but he has had knee issues the last 2 years and he left his team out in the lurch this year when they needed him. I wouldn’t want him on my team because IMO he is looking for a ton guarantee money because he knows his knees are close to done and his career is all but over. (I could be wrong but that’s my hot take lol) -

Funny thing is the Chiefs fixed their O after getting crushed by the Bucs a couple years ago. Then they went and spent in FA and draft picks. -

Umm ya what Allen said was all true. IMO KC has the best TE in the game who always seems to get open but more importantly their coaches schemed a hole bunch of other players open as well in the SB. That is definitely something every team can copycat!
