  1. Game was in Chicago. Typical early season stuff for Roy's teams. They have to learn to play defense by February.
  2. Not "hot" in the traditional sense but also has that "I'm a little bit crazy" look that tells me she'd probably be a fun hookup at last call...
  3. If you compare their career trajectories, Josh Allen started so far behind Trevor Lawrence it's not even funny. Lawrence has been bred to be the next can't miss NFL QB prospect, while Allen has had to fight for everything and is still learning. Last season was probably the best year of coaching he ever received and it's not close.
  4. News flash -- fans defend players on their own team and criticize players on other teams. At least usually. That said, Jackson's game was trash. I still don't think Jackson is a very smart guy and as soon as defenses appropriately scheme for his one-trick show (which already began to happen Sunday) he'll be in trouble unless he suddenly becomes someone he hasn't been before. He's lucky to play on a team with a defense so good they'll make up for his weaknesses most of the time.
  5. A couple of "would ya?" threads per week will add up in no time.
  6. Dude, I think I say this at least once a year. Why do we get 40 times of guys in shorts that bears precisely NO relation to football speed? At least put them in a helmet and have them carry a football (if they are an offensive skill position player).
  7. I may buy this to throw at the television when he gives up a long pass.
  8. There is some sort of odd narrative out there that (a) Flacco was terrible or something, and (b) Jackson played amazing in the Ravens' 6-1 run to close the regular season. The Ravens won at Pittsburgh, at Tennessee, and were a missed PAT from taking the Saints to OT in New Orleans behind Flacco. For the season Flacco's and Jackson's passer ratings were almost identical but Flacco took the same number of sacks as Jackson in over 200 more dropbacks, and there is no question Flacco is a better passer. The Ravens also changed their run game once Jackson took over. There is a strong probability the Ravens post the same record if Flacco doesn't get hurt and replaced, simply because of their defense. I can sort of understand Harbaugh sticking with what was perceived as the "hot hand" to start the playoff game, but I remain steadfast in my opinion that it was a brutally bad decision for the team not to replace Jackson in the 3rd quarter. Quoting Jackson's stats in the last five minutes of the 4th quarter when the Chargers completely changed their approach tells me nothing. An interesting suggestion I've heard from a couple of Ravens fans is that perhaps both Harbaugh and Flacco said "F 'em" to the Ravens. Harbaugh isn't necessarily planning on staying (he will listen to other offers) and Flacco wasn't exactly lobbying to play and risk injury since he knew he wasn't in their future plans. I believe the Flacco part (he was likely pissed at the organization) more than the Harbaugh part. I think Harbaugh is just stubborn.
  9. Now that was something! The way the game started, even with the pick-6, it appeared that Tua and the Bama offense were going to have their way all night. What a turnaround! Gotta love that Lawrence kid. Looks like he has a very bright future.
  10. Cool. Some of these guys just need to be humbled, apparently. Fingers crossed!
  11. If it was either of the two bolded statements, Harbaugh should be fired today. And for the record, I don't think it was. I think Harbaugh is just a stubborn SOB who was bound and determined to be "right" about keeping Jackson as the starter.
  12. Seriously. You've got a guy who won you a Super Bowl -- who lost his job (mostly) because of injury -- sitting on the sideline completely healthy while your gimmicky offense is being pummeled and the game is still within reach.
  13. It was negligent for Harbaugh not to bench Jackson for Flacco after the first series of the 3rd quarter. I don't care what Jackson did in junk time against the Chargers' prevent D with his lucky throws -- he was garbage and I have no idea why Harbaugh is hitching his wagon to this guy. Flacco had to be thinking "WTF" on the sideline; he can't wait to get out of there.
  14. I'm not a "fan" of either team but I find Clemson more likable and I'd definitely like to see Saban take the L. I do fear for the Clemson DC's health, however. That guy is going to burst a blood vessel.
  15. Wow. With UB gaining national press I watched a number of games this season and this guy has NFL bust written all over him, but in a QB-needy league he has the "prototypical" size teams drool over so I guess we can be prepared to have another team make the EJ Manuel mistake and over-draft him.
  16. Oh come on now. Are you really suggesting the Bills don't have one of the best fan bases in the NFL? The schedule makers did them no favors backloading the home slate, and with a 2-7 start (including a few blowouts) it's not difficult to see why fans weren't knocking each other over to get to The Cap in December.
  17. I think "Sean Kugler, Assistant Head Coach/Director of OL" sounds like a good title. Get 'er done!
  18. I will be there, and for once perhaps we will actually meet up! Section 105 -- you have my cell.
  19. I thought Castillo came across very poorly in that article. Clearly there was a disconnect and it only makes sense to get an OL coach that fits Daboll’s philosophy.
  20. I don’t really understood what you’re saying. The Bills have gone 15-18 under McD with a subpar roster. Sure the talent could and should improve enough this offseason for him to be rightfully judged next year.
  21. I think there’s a great chance for both road teams to win in the AFC next week. They both possess more offensive/defensive balance than their opponents (in my opinion). Edit: and it’s actually not my opinion; I just looked it up. Indy is 7th in offense and 11th in defense (to KC’s 1st/31st) and the Bolts are 11th/9th to the Pats*** 5th/23rd
  22. Too many “in the know” people love the job McD is doing for it to be a real question at this point, but he still has a lot to prove. Is he really ultra-conservative, or has he simply been playing the odds with inferior offensive talent? Will his game day management improve? There’s no question he has players believing and playing hard, and next year It appears he will have much more talent to work with (including, hopefully, a legitimate franchise QB). 2019 is a huge year for McD. For the first time as a HC he will go into a regular season with a lot of outside expectations.
  23. That’ll teach those folks to leave decorative knives just laying around...
  24. Jackson is a poor man’s Vick. Harbaugh looked like an idiot by not bringing Flacco in at halftime. The late TDs were fluky. Baltimore is an 8-10 win team every year with that defense but if Harbaugh hitches his wagon to Jackson it will spell his doom.
