  1. The more I think about this the more I like the possibility of AB in a Bills uniform. He comes in as the immediate, unquestioned leader of the WR room and gets to play with an exciting young QB who is in the mold of Big Ben. I won't be crushed if it doesn't happen, but it would be exciting if it does.
  2. I almost spit my coffee out when I read that. "Resurrect his career" -- that's gold, Jerry!
  3. Jags won’t win more than 6 games next year.
  4. Is that what you think is going on? Read more carefully. I'm glad to see, however, that you care deeply for your younger sibling.
  5. Sweet. Much needed move IMO to continue what they've got going in the locker room -- and the dude balled this year!
  6. If the title of this thread isn't going to be updated with the current record and next game can it just be changed to "Sabres and NHL 2018-19?" Thanks.
  7. When you're 32nd there's nowhere to go but up. I don't understand why anyone would trash this hire. Sure, he's unproven, but unless "prior NFL experience as ST coordinator" is your only acceptable job qualification what exactly is the negative?
  8. One can't help but wonder if the Bills just "stole" this coach from the Colts? It's admittedly odd that Reich fired their OL coach this week -- was Johnson going to be promoted or had Reich already told him to look elsewhere? Did the Bills just jump on this early and wow him? From the outside looking in it's a curious decision to leave Indy for Buffalo unless there's something we don't know -- which could be a number of things.
  9. Nah, I don't know anything about them. Certainly the ST guy played ST at a very high level in the NFL and has a fresh perspective; he's also much closer in age to today's players and the hope would be that he can reach them and inspire a greatly improved unit. Time will tell. I'm thrilled he's not a retread. As for the OL coach, again, I'm glad he's not a retread and is certainly someone who has paid his dues. I don't think it's a bad thing that Eric Wood and Kyle Rudolph immediately tweeted their support for the hire, and I like the fact that he has coached TEs as well. Both guys are getting their first opportunities at being "the man" in their respective roles and there is always some trepidation in that...time will tell if they were ready for the next step. I don't think the Bills could have done much worse than Crossman and Castillo, however, so my thought is it will be a step forward. Was that humorous enough for ya, sparky?
  10. Name one offensive lineman from the past two seasons on the Buffalo Bills whom you believe got better under Castillo's tutelage.
  11. We have a 10-lb miniature pinscher who makes our king size bed feel too small.
  12. Guys, I can't get fully behind this hire until ScottLaw has trashed it -- has anyone seen him?
  13. Season 1 had a couple of added "attractions" that kept me interested.
  14. You may want to read the article on the front page today full of Lorax quotes about how Star earned every penny.
  15. Always good to have a former (and not likely future) HC on your staff. This could be a good add for McD. By whom?
  16. I'll go out on a limb here and posit that Beane and McDermott couldn't care less about this "look" you're referring to.
  17. "Carolina North" jokes aside I at least like the idea of this hire. Not a retread; a young, energetic, progressive coach. Can't do worse than Crossman, right?
  18. There was some internal debate about whether or not Coleman should receive a gold watch, but in the end they decided to "just give it to him."
  19. Good recruiter? I don't know if you can even give him credit for Allen -- nobody recruited him. I think it was viewed as a plus that Allen wasn't exclusively shotgun so he knew how to take a snap. But watching highlights, it seems as if the play call was typically "Josh, run around and try to make a play."
