Daboll's Forward Handoff: Spreading throughout the league?

All I saw were some posts making it seem as though these are all the same plays, which they are not. -
Daboll's Forward Handoff: Spreading throughout the league?
eball replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
End Around -- at the snap an "end" loops behind the QB for a pitch or handoff and heads towards the opposite side of the field. One handoff/pitch -- no forward pass. Reverse -- starts like an end around but the end then hands off or pitches to another end running in the opposite direction. Two handoffs/pitches -- still no forward pass. Jet (or Fly) Sweep -- an end is already in motion across the LOS at the snap, then takes a handoff directly from the QB. It appears that the variation we are seeing most often from Daboll is that the transfer from QB to the end is a forward toss rather than a handoff, which makes it a completed pass rather than a rushing attempt. Doing it this way also prevents a fumble from being called if the pass drops incomplete. Shovel Pass -- any short pass from the QB to a receiver right in front of him. -

Does anyone miss Zach Brown? Nigel Bradham?

While I hope you enjoyed getting that off your chest, I specifically addressed one point -- your insistence that the Pats*** have an "all-time" defense. -
The AFC is a dumpster fire this season

Really? NO idea? C'mon, man, they lost because Peterman threw a pick six! Yes, Josh would have had to lead a TD drive but he's better than Peterman, for crissake. -

The Pats*** have played against the following QBs: Big Ben Fitz/Rosen Falk Allen/Barkley (who still put up 370+ yards) Dwayne Haskins Daniel Jones (minus Barkley at RB) Please tell me what good defense wouldn't look brilliant against this lineup? Big Ben clearly wasn't himself, and they've played FIVE rookie or 2nd year QBs! Meanwhile, the Bills have played against the following QBs: Darnold Eli Manning Dalton Brady Mariota Just a wee bit of a difference, no? I realize you pray at the temple of all things Belichick but by the end of the year let's see which defense is ranked higher in the most categories. -
So I guess he's been keeping his clothes on in public?

Perhaps the Fish will score a rouge.

When a voice grates on you, you just know. There are male broadcasters I can't stand to listen to also. Mowins' voice and inflection are, to me, like nails on a chalkboard.

I used to hate Seattle, really for no good reason other than I thought Pete Carroll was annoying. While he is still annoying, I respect that he is a pretty damn good coach and Russ Wilson is one of the best (if not THE best) QBs in the league. They're just never out of a game. I think they're a top 5 team in the league at this point.

Has anyone read Omar Kelly's tweets recently. I would but I'm blocked.

For all of this talk about tanking, suggesting the Fish actually called a play they knew wouldn't work on Sunday may be the most bizarre take I've ever read on a message board. Do you know what would happen in a locker room if the players sensed that the coaches don't want to win? Do you think Fitz and the other veterans on that team would put forth any effort at all in that situation? Tanking is done by the front office. Coaches only operate one way -- they try to win.

Well, the good news is that Miami appears to be just as charitable through the air as they are on the ground. They're giving up 270 passing yards per game (likely underestimated since teams have been up so big in the 2nd half) and 170 rushing yards. As they say nowadays, it would appear that many Buffalo offensive skill players are "about to eat."

NE will actually serve a purpose for us going forward!

3-0 on the road thus far my friend... -

I would much rather the Pats*** take care of business against the Jets this week -- I don't want the Jets suddenly feeling as though they have a chance at the playoffs because motivation is a powerful thing and as you've noted the schedule opens up for them. Also, I'm not ready to crown the Jets just yet because of one good half of football. They let Dallas back in the game and had to hold on for dear life. -
You're entitled to your opinion but there are really no facts to support the notion that Miami will be able to move the ball consistently and score against this Bills D. If Milano can't go that's a big loss but with as much as this D is dialed in it may not make a difference. I'd like to see Singletary return and get a good number of touches, and obviously I'd like to see the Bills' O dominate and score 28+.

Well said.

Andy Reid now choking in regular season

Part of asking a question includes challenging certain assumptions. Not sure why you're taking a stand on this one... -

Has the bad ankle affected him that much over the past couple of games? Anyway, I said I wasn't throwing shade and I know what his numbers are...I'm still curious. -
But the Pegulas were idiots for letting him leave!

Having a hard time talking myself out of 10 wins for this team...
eball replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's certainly still too early to claim victory here, but I may need to revise the topic title after this 3-game homestand... I mean, they will be favored in every home game left and is there any road game the Bills shouldn't feel as if they have at least a 50/50 shot in? Yes, I'm including the game in Foxboro with that statement.
