Bills at Texans Playoff Game, Saturday 4:35 pm
eball replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills were ever going to jump out on a team early, this is the week to do it. Houston has a bad recent history of home playoff losses and don't think that won't get into their heads if the Bills can get up by a couple of scores. Add the fact that I expect a lot of Bills fans in that stadium. -
Levi Wallace - sprained ankle, day to day
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it's D-T-D then it likely isn't the dreaded 'high ankle sprain' that keeps guys out for months. I'll take that as good news. And besides, I think Kevin Johnson probably wants to show his former team what they're missing. Every bit of motivation helps. -
This is just patently not true. Singletary is a threat. You don't have to trust me, ask somebody like Charlie Weis or Pat Kirwan. Knox is also a threat, and John Brown isn't "close" to being a threat, he is one. But it really doesn't matter and I don't need to convince you. We'll all see for ourselves beginning this weekend.

My only complaint a while back was that you couldn't specify whether you wanted to connect to the 2.4 or 5 network...some devices only connect to one and it would occasionally cause a conflict, but that seems to have been "fixed" somehow (you still can't pick 2.4 or 5). I don't do a lot of configuring so your issue hasn't come up for me.

Houston Tailgate Official Info
eball replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@Jauronimo I already booked MF Sushi for myself and the Mrs Friday night since we are in the med center area. Looks amazing. -
Right, and how many points did those teams score against Buffalo? Their only double-digit loss of the season was to Philly over two months ago. In the playoffs every team has a small margin for error. Teams facing Buffalo have to account for the defense and even if you aren’t impressed by the offensive weapons teams have to prepare for Allen because of his ability to make things happen out of the pocket. You really think teams aren’t worried about Singletary, Brown, or Knox? Guess again. The premise of this thread presumes the top 2 seeds in each conference are the favorites. I’m talking about the lower seeds who are most difficult to prep for, and I think the Bills fit that category.

TE position is actually looking pretty promising
eball replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Knox can get over the dropsies he could be just as effective a weapon as Kittle. Has the talent. -
Sounds like Snyder still wants to pull the strings in Washington (insisting on Haskins as the QB) -- I know there are only 32 of these jobs but man, I'd be wary of walking into that situation.

Your ideal playoff scenario to the SB (AFC)

He said to the Super Bowl. -
Beginning the tailgate for Saturday's game.

I've got an Eero with three beacons, covering roughly 3500 sq. ft. Does a nice job.

Flights booked, AirBnB reserved, game tickets purchased. I am so excited -- first meaningful playoff game for the bills in 20 years. The AirBnB I booked is in the Museum District so thanks!

Three Buffalo wins. -
How many coaches are 2/3 in playoff appearances during that time?
-
Sure seems that way...when you look at the fact they had a 6-2 record on the road and "defense travels" I don't think any team "likes" matching up with Buffalo. Their worst effort of the season was a blustery day against Philly more than two months ago. Josh has taken care of the ball, they have veteran receivers, a dynamic TE, and an OROY candidate in Singletary. They've also gotten great experience playing against top defenses over the past 4-5 games. I think it all boils down to Josh finding a way to avoid early game "jitters" and settling in more quickly.

Ron Rivera hired as HC in Washington [edited title]
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the only thing that matters. If Snyder continues to insist on being involved in football decisions no coach will succeed there. I hope for Ron's sake he got some sort of assurances in that regard (but I doubt it). -

This was actually a factor (albeit a small one) in my decision to bite the bullet and book the trip to Houston! -
I think this is pretty accurate. I mean, Bill Walsh could rise from the grave and be the OC for this team and the complaints would keep rolling in. Every OC is hated by his team's fan base. Kyle Shanahan is probably coach of the year in SF and remember his gaffe in the Super Bowl as OC for the Falcons, running the ball five measly times in the 2nd half? Daboll should be given credit for much of Josh's progression this season. I agree whole-heartedly that some of the play-calling can easily be second guessed, but Daboll isn't the idiot many on this forum paint him to be.

Week 17: NJ Jets at Buffalo Bills PostGame
eball replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My only "hot" take here is that the Jets' starters couldn't put up more than 13 pts against Buffalo backups and were actually outgained for the game. -
I think I pretty much nailed this. Oliver seemed to play a bit more and I wasn't watching the OL rotation (or anything else about this game) closely but the only starting OL who played significant minutes were Ford and Spain. So in other words -- it could be done.

No they don’t. Lowest remaining seed plays at Baltimore in 2nd round.
