  1. It is really an amazing feeling, watching this organization making smart decisions. We are in for a great ride.
  2. No incentive for Tre to sign an extension now. Milano should get done, and of course Beane.
  3. I really feel that 15M per year for the extension is a bit too much. Dion is a decent player but not top notch and I think he's going to regress now that he's getting paid. If they could have signed him for 9M per I'd be on board with this. Another short-sighted decision by Beane that will hamstring this team for years. Did I do that right?
  4. Combined with calling anyone who likes the deal a shameless homer...
  5. The Beaner "shnows" what he's doing! Congrats Dion! Really good player and great team ambassador.
  6. I would agree with that if we were not now in year four of McD's regime. I think it's clear that there are a number of leaders in the locker room and I don't think Smith is "needed" in that capacity.
  7. Once again, as a Bills fan I'm really glad you're not running the show.
  8. I think Bass is snatched up immediately if they put him on the PS. If he is horrible in camp they may try that, but if he kicks well he'll make the 53. Teams are desperate for big-legged kickers.
  9. Yeah, BB really undressed him in that one, but it’s difficult to say for sure whether Goff holds them back as well.
  10. You play who’s in front of you. I don’t concern myself with schedule strength projections and whatnot...we all know the NFL is “any given Sunday” and if you don’t prepare for the opponent in front of you you’ll get your asses kicked. I guarantee you that’s how McDermott sees it too.
  11. As much as I agree with Gunner’s comments about how coaches love blocking TEs, I really feel like Lee Smith is a wasted roster spot because when he is in the game that’s one less skill position for defenses to worry about.
  12. When a team drafts a kicker it’s a little different than a typical 6th round pick. Unless Bass has been terrible in camp I think he absolutely makes the 53. I hear and somewhat agree with what you’re saying about “trusting” a rookie K without any in-game experience but they all have to cut their teeth at some point. You can bet your bottom dollar that when pads go on next week and they’re trying to simulate game situations they’ll be pressuring both of these guys, and I believe that will dictate whether Hauschka stays as the “short” kicker or they hand the job to Bass outright.
  13. This. How quickly folks forget the Bills were a better road than home team last year, and in their three prime time appearances (at Dallas, at Pittsburgh, and at the Pats***) they fared very well. I think the Bills would have had a puncher’s chance against KC and refuse to believe they would have been blown out. At some point fans have to shake themselves out of the miserable expectations that plagued us for the better part of two decades and realize it is a new era of Bills football.
  14. Eh, I don’t think that way. McD’s defense wouldn’t have been blown out by KC and Josh would have had one more game of playoff experience. Motor was coming off his most complete game as a pro also. You always want to win.
  15. I actually and truly empathize with guys like you. I hope you find peace and comfort someday.
  16. Prove my statement wrong. Hey buddy, there are a couple of other guys in this thread you should start hanging out with...the three of you together would be a hoot.
  17. And did you hear his interview earlier this week? The dude LOVES it in Buffalo.

  19. He doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. He's still on the "jilted girlfriend" level with the Bills, trying desperately to prove how little he needs them or cares. Very Trumpian, too, in how he accuses others of doing things they haven't done but says them repeatedly so they seem to be fact.
  20. Ralph is cheap.
  21. Is anyone else really intrigued by OL Trey Adams? This guy was going to be a beast before getting hurt. He's gotta be super motivated as well. Dark horse for the 53, or at least the PS?
  22. Unfortunately you must also deal with the BPLODM -- the Bill Parcells Law Of Diminishing Returns. Whenever he goes somewhere there is an immediate uptick, some period of success, and then a falloff before he silently exits. Also, McD's style is nothing like Parcells'. But I see where you're going with the turnaround angle.
  23. Well done. Your guys in red that I'd change to blue: RB: Jones WR: McKenzie OL: Bates, Boehm DL: Johnson CB: Jackson
