  1. It was 17-14 at the half. The defense didn't make plays. The big jones catch absolutely deflated the team though... Gilmore needs to make that play What I mean to say is... They were in this game in spite of the horrible special teams play in the first half
  2. Does rodak even talk to the players? Come up with his own news? Break a story? No, he's just a clown with an iPhone and Twitter...
  3. After reading the article it comes off much less like the bs click bait headlines that are on every rodak article. Guy doesn't even write anything. It's 70 percent quotes from Sammy, that are in another guys article. Why not just link the actual writer instead of name dropping.
  4. Next man up - EJ has had plenty of rep's and has only proved that he is inconsistent. I seriously doubt he does enough to win the job - but he should be able to do enough to win 1 of the next 2. Gotta keep the team ready to play, especially the London game. That one we can't afford to lose.
  5. The chargers offensive line is absolute garbage right now. lots of injuries - they have jamon meredith starting - and that joe barksdale (who couldnt make our roster at RT this year)
  6. I watched mulligan whiff on morgan sunday. He's supposed to be the blocking TE...
  7. And our receivers have absolutely nothing to do with the struggles in the last 2 games. The line too. PFF says they're great so they're great. Despite the fact that we can all see that they haven't been. Penalties have nothing to do with stalling out our offense. Even the holding penalties, illegal formations, and false starts that absolutely kill a running team.
  8. looked like the receivers/TE's put up a stinker to me yesterday. Goodwin was the only guy who was getting open consistently, and we weren't using the middle of the field at all.
  9. Going into this season we expected a defensive team that tries to force turnovers, and plays close games. And a ball control offense that runs the ball. When the ball control offense can't run - what you saw yesterday is what you get. A team forced to take shots when that is the last thing they want to do. The key going forward is to make the adjustment of finding hogan/watkins/clay for the intermediate gains - and taking what the other team gives you.
  10. Any given sunday - yes the bengals look good and they've beaten a few teams that are in the similar middle of the road spot as buffalo. Would i pick them over denver or new england in the playoffs? Absolutely not. This game will come down to the trenches, if we can put some pressure on we should be in good shape. We'll also need to get the run game moving so we can buy TT some time in the passing game. I like our chances, but wouldn't be surprised if we lost.
  11. The first half was on the entire offense, not just Tyrod. The line played very poorly, the sacks from what i can tell were right the top of his drop with very little room if any to step up. Percy had a drop, and clay didnt get his feet in (at least it didn't count). Percy also had a non-call interference/holding on a 3rd down. The near INT where woods and harving were on top of each other at the end of the play. That's a few first downs right there that were taken away by poor execution on his receivers. I'd also like to see that same percy slant with Sammy, because i get a feeling he either catches it or the PI gets called. I also get the feeling Sammy will be a major piece of the offense going forward, the team seems stuck in the mud without him.
  12. My vote is EJ. Guy seems hungry this year and wants the job. Cassell is who we all thought he was - mediocre.
  13. If it was easy to flush a guy from the pocket and push him left into a spying linebacker- Teams would do this every play. If you get caught trying to do this and get picked up, he'll have a clean pocket and a clean view of the whole field. Seattle makes you drop the spy by running the ball, and taking what you give them. I expect a lot of misdirection plays, counters, and play action. Throw in zone read and bootleg plays and they can literally go in any direction. Having a great running game will give you that flexibility. Having said that, he does need to be smart and not try to do too much. Wilson had a great year last year, and he still doesn't try to do too much out there. Let the game come to you.
  14. He is living like right next to me in op. Furnished apartment is my guess. I met him the other day, he said... Hi, how ya doin? Classic rex
  15. Not a heavy investment at all. Backers can be had all over. Great playmakers are important, especially with EJ at qb. We're not going to the playoffs without a good running game and our qb situation. It's worth trying if u think u can do it this way.
  16. And Tom Brady has nothing to do with anything... The Seahawks were in the super bowl too by the way, the team with the most rushing yards in the league. Who don't have a hall of famer at qb (he's good but I think u get my point)
  17. Tannehill looks competent most of the time... Orton sample size is too small. The jets are a mess
  18. He's our best blocking receiver... For a running football team that earns him a starting spot
  19. Spiller needs some new plays... He literally ran a draw out of shotgun on every single carry. Nothing from under center that I can remember
  20. Audibles would go a long way... I feel like we waste time outs when we should be checking out of a play. Also scrap the all shotgun, I feel like we can't run outside. Everything's just a draw or a trap up the middle. Doesn't have to be this college gimmick crap. Play action out of those formations is much more effective, and gets him moving where he seems to make more plays.
  21. He needs to just play. Stop thinking and play. Geno, cousins, bortles and bridge water all came out with swagger and confidence ( with mixed results). Ej is scared of screwing up, and it seems like he's thinking about his motion on every throw. Let it rip guy!
  22. Outside of the pick, which everyone will agree was pretty awful. I thought EJ played well, didn't stare down his guys, made some plays.the woods and M Williams throws were great and at huge moments. Chandlers drop and personal foul were pretty annoying
