Bills trade Kelvin Shephard
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to mrags's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems like both teams needed the depth in a different place. We added an ILB we expect to start, they added Werner who they expect to start/rotate at OLB. Both were going to get less reps anyway. -
Brad Smith Speculation
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to VIVA BUFFALO CABRONES!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why don't they have him hold field goals? Increases success on a fake by like a million percent. We could also have him learn how to pooch punt. Even if hes only as good as Brady is, we could send him out there and line up in a deep shotgun and see what looks they give us. If he's never going to be a quality QB, at least put him out there in different situations and see if we can steal some Time outs and first downs. -
According the Chris Brown........

I don't understand why everyone says we have a precious few picks... were missing a 7th rounder. That's essentially a undrafted free agent anyway. It's only a precious few picks because we have a ton of glaring holes. Who's fault is that?! -
if the draft does this, what do we do

Tavon Austin's film and production are a class above Parrish... Even ginn or sproles. Looks more like Reggie bush than roscoe -
Colt McCoy To Be Released Soon
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not horribly opposed. I would be if they brought him in to be our starter, but he could certainly come in and compete on our total lack of a depth chart. Looking at some of their players from 2010/2011, its no wonder they were terrible. -
Mike Glennon - QB - NC State

58.5% completion percentage... in college football? That to me just shows significant inaccuracy, which you cant really teach. Also he was sacked 36 times. Which has a bit of a Losman factor that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. PASS -
Could This Scenario Play Out In B/Lo ?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not saying draft warmack... But ur comparisons are way off. The decastro injury was similar to how wood got injured, so it's not like he's injury prone. People fall on you, it's football. I don't know why you think he's bad because of it -
Only a college team with 3 all-american offensive lineman, and the 19th ranked offense in all of college football (while playing against the best defenses in football). I still see a pretty good player capable of a solid NFL career. He's an inside linebacker, hes never going to make a defense amazing, but to say that hes going to be a bust is a bit premature.

Why is everyone so down on this guy? He was the heisman runner-up! Considering no defensive player has ever really won it (woodson doesnt count, he was a returner and played some on offense), thats a pretty impressive thing to put on his resume. Yes he had a bad game against Bama, but looking over Bama's W-L record and the scores in those games... They pretty much made everyone they played look bad except for Johnny Football. As for this online girlfriend stuff, it will probably blow over and pop up again around draft time. At least hes not driving drunk or doing illegal things. Lastly, I am not saying draft the guy, I'm saying it wouldnt be tragic if we did. The guys a player, and deserves to be in the conversation if he's there when we pick.

Time for a Kicker
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about teaching brad smith how to hold? I always thought it would be nice to have a guy back there who can throw on fake FG attempts. -
The great thing about the read option is the misdirection, the bad thing is that you can cause your own turnovers with the handoffs. Kaep also holds the ball very poorly in his hands (I believe he fumbled against Buffalo in one of his plays). I wouldnt be surprised if he accounts for between 10-15 fumbles next year. However I still think with that team he can go 12-4, 13-3.

So its being reported the Jags have no interest in Tebow. I say we take the guy off the jets hands, and make him a FB/HB/TE combo. The guy is a football player, and has great instincts on the field. If he can be had for pennies on the dollar i say take it. We need a legit power back, and he could probably fill a few roles in a diverse offense. Just please don't do anymore wildcat....

Bills fans thoughts on new coaching staff so far??
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to mrags's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lovie is just like a Jauron or Gailey, there's a reason that they get fired. The problem is we have Swung and missed on these so called "proven" guys, and have been hanging out in the cellar of the division for years now. Rebuilding would Imply that we are rebuilding the roster, which we probably won't. Those holes are still there, and I trust the new guy to address them more than Gailey or Lovie. As for Marrone specifically, i like the fact that he actually WANTS this job. Not just a job in the NFL as a head coach, but a job as the bills head coach. GO BILLS! -
I still like the Kyle williams as a nose tackle in the 3-4. He had a little Jay Ratliff in him, as a penetrator blowing up the blocking schemes in the backfield. Dareus would need to drop lbs to play end, and mario flexing with carrington at end and linebacker in pass rushing situations. The problem is that we have lousy linebackers, and now we would need even more linebackers to cover. I think sheppard fits into a 3-4 better though, as does Moats (if we keep him, which we probably won't).

Back to the 3-4?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's around JJ Watt's size, and hes been crushing it in the 3-4. I don't think he wants to be locked in as a 3-4 end or OLB, but if he can do both I'm sure he'd be fine. -
I've seen enough of this experiment

i know... if ur not going to win any games at least get me a few TDs for my fantasy team -
Made a nice play to force a fumble today. PI was the end of the game, but i had 0 faith in a comeback anyway

As bad as the red flag thing was... He kicked a 48 yard field goal on 3rd down. I don't care who the kicker is, that's a tough kick from the hash. Why not try and pick up a few yards? What are u doing on a bad snap? A 58 yarder? Dumb!
