  1. That was something that always bothered me about Jauron/Mularkey teams. The 2nd half not only never had adjustments, but they seemed content with punting and pinning them deep. Turnovers will kill you, but 3 and outs will kill you pretty quick too.
  2. The guy definately has a lot of talent and it sucks that he gets burned for big plays. But where is the pressure getting generated from? You can blame him all you want but at the end of the day, hes generally better than most other corners in the league, we just cant get to the QB. When we do we generate big plays, but when we dont get any pressure we get burned. As for those calling for his head, at this point we have way too many injuries to consider it.
  3. I watched the game and while he had a few plays here and there, for the most part the ravens were playing keep away. We want to keep tom brady off the field, the ravens were seriously content with keeping sanchez ON the field. To be fair though, the jets have a good secondary and in general played pretty good against the ravens especially in the second half. I still say no biggie, our coaches never put him on the field. If we put him on the field he wouldve had to have had some sort of production, its pretty much inevitable that if u play every down at 3-4 OLB you would have at least a couple of sacks by the end of the year.
  4. I agree, not the best take on Buffalo or Orchard park... I always thought Orchard Park was nice
  5. I was reading this article at work today, thought it gave some good insight into Fitzpatrick. Seems like a smart guy, but seems like a QB too. Maybe ESPN will finally stop calling him Fitzgerald... http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/6947144/can-ryan-fitzpatrick-save-buffalo
  6. Lindell shoots 4 for 5 and bills win 12-10. Reinjuring matt cassel in the process
  7. I say spiller, mostly because of injury concerns with best. I think our oline sucks, and FJ can at times make them look better than they are. Spiller works the opposite way, and it really reflects on him. He needs to hit the hole hard and get positive plays up the middle. Playcalling with spiller can be a little bit easy to read too, its clear when hes out there in the backfield that hes not blocking, and hes probably not running it up the middle. So counters and draws dont seem as effective, while a straight run up the middle might be more productive. My hope is that they dont just reggie bush decoy him, and actually set him up to succeed. Starts at the line though, and as of right now theyve set him up to fail.
  8. I like this move if only because the guys shown that he can play in this system. Evans did not, why wouldnt we extend the guy that plays the ideal slot for us. Hes fast enough, but where he gets people is that he is really quick, and tougher than the 175 lbs he is. Good player who never fit what we were trying to do here when he was under contract for the past few years.
  9. Kyle Williams clearly has a better agent than FJ. His guy was agressive and got the deal done. People too often blame the team for not signing a guy, but for all we know they arent even in discussion. And if they are in discussion, they may be far apart in dollars.
  10. Id like to see jasper, but considering they were willing to draft a guy nobody had ever heard of thinking he could be a steal, they very well might keep him on the active roster rather than risk losing him.
  11. The bengals..? they have a rookie qb, rookie #1 receiver, and replaced a good CB with a washed up nate clements. They IMO are the worst team (and organization) in football.
  12. I like his attitude, but I dont like the penalties. I like players who play hard and hit hard, but for a team like the bills who have trouble getting off the field, we dont need penalties. Id still love Suh in a bills uniform, but Dareus is our guy. He seems to like hitting the qb too though
  13. We didnt do enough to stop their blitzing in denver, we just kinda spread it out and let it fly. With the amount of pressure they were putting on us, i was surprised he wasnt sacked more. Fitzy was getting rid of it a lot and just not comfortable back there. Gameplanning we probably would have called more draws, screens, even some of those quick welker like plays (assuming parrish ever plays). Have to get the defense on their heels, and not let their blitzing dictate play. That being said, they were just content in the preseason to see how the line adjusted to that, and they got blown up.
  14. We dont have any major stars, but we showed that we have the ability to put points on the board. While the fans of every team in this league think of us as a cupcake team thats an easy win. I dont think theres a team on this schedule thats looking forward to playing us. We can jump out to a lead, and without DJ on the sidelines we may be able to hang in the 2nd half.
  15. I was doing my fantasy football draft on Sunday night and the commish is a raiders fan, so I was watching the Sunday night game. Trent comes into the game, and it was a pathetic excuse for football. I know he didnt have a ton of time, but he always seems to move backwards when hes going to get sacked. Wasnt sure if anyone else watched, but its sad that this guy was supposed to be our starter and lead our no-huddle offense.
  16. The pats line didnt look great the other day, but I still say sanchez. He holds the ball too long from time to time.
  17. Thurman did all the little things really well. First off, fantastic blocking back. Great out of the shotgun with blocking, screens, and getting in space. Fred jackson does seem to run a lot like him though, he has a great first cut that results in getting those extra yards. He always seems to be moving forward, and while hes not fast, hes a really quick back and hits the hole hard.
  18. He'll washout soon, guy doesnt have a position and only has one pass rushing move
  19. Playoffs in 2 years is by no means impossible. A good defense can steal games, and if we can provide pressure and cause turnovers we can win. The lines still a mess, but I think we should make the playoffs over the course of the next 3 seasons. We almost have to make them at some point, even the bengals were able to bounce in and out of the playoffs. This isnt baseball, there isnt a 5 year plan to get there.
  20. Hes a backup QB, I dont think you ever bring these guys in as proven winners. If they were proven winners they would be starting. I think he could come in and play if needed, but the hope is that he never has to.
  21. Good post, I think troups hand injury kinda sucks for him. Hes in a position where hands are pretty important and hes got a big fat club right now. I felt like kelsay has played fairly well in what I've seen, I know hes not the most popular guy on the roster and he doesnt fit the 3-4. But he works hard and when they throw the 4 down lineman, with dareus and williams down there, he can make plays.
  22. I think we keep him as a flex guy, they wanted big edge rushers and hes probably a better fit as a 4-3 OLB. Putting him inside allows him to be a depth guy on both the inside and outside. He was going to be buried on the OLB chart anyway and wasn't going to play.
  23. I definately see Wang being cut, he just has not shown that he has the strength or ability to play at this level. Shawn Nelson and his migraines are as good as gone. As for the defense I'm a fan of Scott, but I think he'll probably be gone. Keep kelsay, when his hands down hes still effective.
