Denver Bronco's seem to be the real deal
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They've scored more than 21 points, 4 times this year. They've allowed 21 points or more 9 times this year. Gotta be close to dead last in turnover diff. They lost to the chiefs by 27 the first meeting, to the raiders by 25, the saints by 28, the bucs by 18. They're a worse version of the bills from last year. A worse rush defense, and a worse QB being the big 2 notables. -
Am I the only one who finds SF vastly overrated? Lost 3 of their last 4. 5-6 on the year. They are not a particularly strong rushing attack, even though everyone seems to act like they are. They get sherman back - still missing Bosa/Ford. They get samuel/mostert back - still missing Jimmy G and Kittle. They're 3-0 if they get more than 3 takeaways, and 2-6 if they don't. They've had some good yardage weeks defensively , but those are - Jets, Eagles, Patriots (cam's post covid disaster), Giants, Saints (half the game with Winston). They seem to stop the run fairly well. I just don't get why they flipped from injured wash year, to playoff caliber favorites in 1 game.

Shanahan vs Shurmur is a fairly big difference to me. Shanahan is clever in the types of motion, and they have a non-traditional run game. -

I came away feeling like they could have lost that game by 30. They are just incapable of stringing together drives consistently. One incompletion and the drive's basically over. -
AJ Klein: Tremaine Edmunds "a True Mike"
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought he made a nice play on the keenan allen TD - was a really nice throw by herbert though. -
Honestly they rushed what 6? 7? they also had a spy... this was just a terrible play call. I don't mind bringing a little extra pressure... a sack ends it. But 6 or 7 or whatever guys? Are you insane? You really should also play zone, and you should play deep. 20 yards over the middle? even 25... that leaves them with a quick spike and one shot at the end zone. This is a lot like the situation buffalo faced with Murray - but Carr isn't nearly as athletic.

Milano and Dodson designated to return from IR

As long as he continues to tackle well, and play the downhill violent game he has played. He will be on the field a fair amount. -
Our backs are averaging 1.7 yards before contact, Sanders and scott are closer to 3. Looking at the splits - they do run a bit in those situations... but 7 times all season isn't what I would consider a trend. Honestly though, they're a pretty good running team all across splits. Their first down passing splits are atrocious - 17 sacks in 170 drop backs, with 7 INTs. And 3rd down he's getting sacked at like a 17% clip across all 3rd down distances. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/phi/2020_splits.htm

Eagles HC Pederson on the hot seat with job status
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their offensive line is basically shredded. They had peters come out of retirement when Dillard got hurt. Brooks missed the entire season at RG. Johnsons been banged up all year and now hes done for the year. Peters missed time. Seumalo missed half the season at LG. They legit have only had Kelce start 11 games. There's talent along the line, they just haven't played. Buffalo's had a lot of moving parts on the line, but you have to remember how incredibly top heavy Philly is with all those big contracts given out. The drop off is huge. I think the front office gave out some contracts that they shouldn't have, and now they're hamstrung cap-wise. -
Maybe that's why Fromm's starting...?

That no call delay of game at the half ended up looming rather large. Reminded me a bit of the Richard Sherman dan carpenter thing a few years back. They got Offside, but there was no deadball foul for the hit. Had to snap and spike. Then missed the kick, even though he hit our guy after the whistle. Refs suck sometimes.
