Thats a bit unfair. They missed starters in quite a few games James missed the season. Pouncey also didn't play all season. Harris missed 8 weeks. Ekeler missed 6 weeks. Ingram missed 9 weeks. Bosa missed 4 weeks. Bulaga played 38% of snaps. Allen/Williams/Henry all missed time this year. There were weeks where they were on their 4th string back. It's not an excuse of course - but I'm going to assume they regress next season. I agree on the special teams part - but its hard to make a coaching adjustment like that mid-season. Top 10 in offense and defense yardage wise to me seems like neither unit could get it done in the 4th quarter.

It always depends who owns the rights in these negotiations. While selling the show nets you profit, improving the peacock subscription rate will inevitably also boost profit. As cord cutting becomes more and more prevalent, you almost have to maintain a space in the subscription market. If you don't move the office to your platform, you're almost without a platform. This can work, but it results in you needing to either A - Pick a partner like netflix for all of your shows, or B - sell shows to the highest bidder. But as long as broadcasting still exists, you harm your ratings by making new shows available immediately on someone else's platform. You share ad revenue, and it becomes more of a challenge to show shareholders how you are growing.

I always like to look at it as who they've worked with in the past. Jim Bob Cooter comes to mind as a former OC. Chad O'Shea worked with him in NE for years. Dan Campbell is another. All 3 would be looking to improve their positioning at HC jobs in the future. Taking dorsey would be a challenge - assuming Dorsey has been promised the job here it goes from Allen/Diggs and playcalling to - ??? and not calling plays... Which sets you up better to be a future HC? I could see Crennel as DC assuming Daboll doesn't end up in Houston. Other options might be babich or washington from Buffalo. Matt Patricia could also get a look there.

I just kept reading about how dangerous this defense was. And either they rolled over after the PR TD, or they are not very good. Buffalo scored in like 40 seconds in the 2 minute drill. The 3 TDs in the 4th quarter were when the game was basically out of reach, but honestly the drive to make it 28-6 vs 21-6 really just ended it. As for coach of the year - its a tough year. Payton is deserving. Carroll is deserving. Lafleur and Reid. Stefanski. Hell - even Ron Rivera.

What about Houston?

Any other season they would play for a bye week, and get a week off. I don't think sharpness is an issue. Buffalo came out of the bye week very strong this year. I'd probably rest the same players, as well as any linemen who are banged up. With less receiver talent out there it becomes much more of a TE heavy running attack with play action. If Barkley or webb starts too it doesn't make sense to try and run the josh allen offense.

If there was a 1st round bye? I might say play them a bit. But we might play on Saturday. It's no different than a bye week to take 1 week off.

I think a lot of this has to do with all of us - literally every one of us - having no idea who does what when it comes to building out the offense, the playbook etc. I think playcalling is important - but creating a playbook, installing what plays you want to use what week, what down and distance you might want to use what formations and personnel etc. I think a lot of input comes from all over the staff, not just daboll.

It's disrespectful to everyone. The coaches, the players, the fans, ownership, whatever. Certainly not the actions of someone who should be a leader in the organization. Even in the middle of a playoff race, I'd roll with the 3rd stringer and the PS guy. I'm not sure I'd release him - but he's on reserve covid and banned from facilities til next season. Probably suspend him - that way he loses money too.

Buffalo spotting them insane field position all night certainly helped the cause.

At the end of the day - allen has 9 picks and 9 fumbles. These are considerably higher than rodgers (4 picks, 3 fumbles), and Mahomes (5 picks, 5 fumbles).

I think a designed rollout is fine - typically its coming out of play action, and its a hi-low read with a scramble as the last option. He can make those throws I think. It's when he's moving around the pocket when he tends to drop his eyes and make mistakes.

If he can't step into his throws he tends to miss. Play action, he'll set up super deep like brees so he can see the field better. He's not super athletic, but when hes rolling out he tends to fade back and right which will result in turnovers or throwaways.

My least favorable would be Indy and Baltimore. I think they both have defenses that are capable of giving Buffalo's offense problems. I like that buffalo has seemed to figure out how to hurt teams more that started playing in shell zones. Getting a healthy john brown back would help there even more - his route running has improved and he's usually money on the hitch.

My 2 cents.. Rivers in buffalo - his arm is not great. They do have a seriously solid offensive line though, and a run game that's starting to really find its footing. They also feature the best defense in this group Browns - Mayfield looks solid, has the arm - when the pocket is solid. Muddy that up and he tends to fade, and his throws aren't on target. They also have a solid o-line and running game. Their defense is probably the worst in this group. Ravens - LJ poses problems as its unlike what you see any other week, solid running attack. They have speed on offense but they don't really throw deep often. They have a lot of talent on defense and the goal is to make you 1 dimensional. I mean... you got a half field read there. You have to throw it.

They have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They need talent all over. Lots more draft picks, but at some point you have to dump the caldwell misses. Getting the right free agents is important for them this year.

Darnold's burned through his entire rookie contract. Rebuild around a new rookie.

If you buy out the option year I'd say 5 and 200. Makes him 2nd highest paid qb, and it's probably an overpay.

I mean... that playoff team had Campbell, ngakoue, Ramsey, bouye, gipsob, telvin Smith, and Malik Jackson. The current team has none of those players. They have josh allen DE, still have jack... lots of 2020 picks. But they have about as much in common as buffalo does with their 2017 playoff team.

Whats with grudens strange obsession with bills offensive players? Shouldn't you want the defensive ones from the last 5 years? Incognito? Sure... but Peterman, O'leary, jones? Why? Everyone was criticizing him for icing his kicker - and its like.. you have to do that. And its not his fault herbert took a terrible sack there.
