I know Hyde is a safety but I'd put him on Gronk like the Patriots put Talib on Jimmy Graham and stopped him. Talib stopped Graham up until he left with a hip injury. They put another corner on Graham that did well too after Talib went out.

I think a punt there would have also been acceptable. The going for it didn't make much sense. Tyrod if he was smarter would have put the ball where Clay could make a play - because an interception doesn't necessarily hurt you there either. Unless it's of course returned further than the original LOS.

No it's not equally fair because the team isn't void of talent - we just thought it was. He's taken what looked like a bad roster and has them in the playoff hunt and sometimes playing like one of the best defenses in the league. You're saying over achieving - I'm saying building his way. I think it's fair to give him a fair shake to build the roster and the point is he's done that when we thought it was disaster.

No kidding, he gets to decide who's on the team. He's done that well, they've played good for a no name team (except a couple guys). That's the point. It appears he'll be even better as he continues to build the team with players he wants - as he's already proven to be correct on many of them.

It's the way. You don't understand the desire to move up and spend more on a player or you don't understand moving up for a QB? I didn't say catastrophic - I said it can screw you for years. Then you do it again if you need to. The Bills have signed excellent players in free agency over the years and fielded decent teams but to have an opportunity to win the super bowl - that's the path. If you think Kirk Cousins is holding up a Lombardi one day - you're sadly mistaken. Could we get a playoff card - yes. Well, If that's all you want fine.

We tried the fix holes before QB route. Doesn't work. If there's a trade partner there in the first two picks - give them what it takes. Unfortunately there will be several other teams willing to do the same. Obviously if you pick the wrong QB it can screw you for years but it's the only way. If you pick one of the right ones - you absolutely will not miss those picks.

It's amazing to me how undervalued Wood is. He's just barely over 300lbs and takes on monsters in the middle. He's been relatively healthy playing in 117 games out of 141 including breaking his leg in his rookie year. He's blocked for some atrocious QB play and been a part of many solid running teams often when running was what the defenses knew we had to do.

Of course there's a cost to the Dareus trade who knows about high probability of drafting one. Free agency is definitely a possibility as much as the draft. They may do both. Obviously they identified that his antics, effort and contract weren't copacetic. Hard for me to believe you're ok with a coach hating the effort of a player and you wanting to keep him. Could you possibly be ok with that? I'm not sure I totally understand the cap problems but clearly he wasn't the easiest player to trade. Even at the height of his performance you're not getting a 2nd or a 3rd round pick for him. I'm not shooting down you're entire post but let's switch to Baker. I know there's examples of 6 foot tall QB's doing well in the NFL but it's a legit concern. The player has to be so special to overcome that. I'm also concerned that he runs a lot. I think the NFL has shown that a rushing QB inevitably leads to injury. The kid is a legit baller and I love so much about him, but I'd have to take a long look at how I'd translate him in an NFL pocket.

I agree with this fully. Bradford has definitely looked like a viable starting QB in the NFL - but he just can't stay healthy. If/when we draft a QB, we may need a bridge QB and he's they type I'd certainly consider.

I think his only real value is on a team that will draft a QB in the upcoming draft if they'd like to have a security blanket in the event they want a vet there to play before the rookie is ready. The teams likely to draft a QB are the Browns, Cardinals, Jets, Broncos - possibly the Giants and Redskins. Browns probably stick with Kizer as that option, Cards have Palmer for one more year, Jets are a possibility but would likely sign McCown , Broncos - maybe, Giants - maybe, Redskins - maybe.

McD can coach. How he's doing this with a lackluster lineup is impressive. This team should be 3-5 wins on paper. I like our backfield and we have a good running back - beyond that I see blah, but I see a team that sticks together. This is just what they were given, a couple trades, one training camp to cut/keep players and one draft. I imagine good things as McD and Beane build the team they want.

He made his opening statement and said "the Dolphins did a good job tonight and we weren't good enough in any area to win the game. We have to do a better job and it wasn't good enough tonight across the board." The first question set him off and he's right - the media is a joke. "Do you think any of the guys might have been looking ahead to next week and passed Miami?" He's like give me a break. I like that he treats them like the morons they are.

What if we lost the game?

I think you'd actually see an increase in time outs for replay if it was injury related. I'd like to see them have a digital way to determine first downs. The chains are antiquated and I think it would be fun to have a huge light near the play clock that illuminates when the yardage gained is obtained - then a light on the screen for tv.

It's hard for me to get excited about anyone with 25 catches and 291 yds. I'll give Zay the benefit of the doubt with Tyrod being the QB and the blizzard game Sunday - but I'm far from liking how he's coming along.

What I like about the app is I don't have to listen live. I wait about an hour after the live broadcast then listen - commercial breaks are edited out. Kind of like why I DVR most things - FF through commercials.

Can you PM me on how/where? I've tried a couple times when I got caught traveling during the game - couldn't find anything those times - but doing a phone search for things like that is a challenge for me.
