  1. Holy *****, all the arm chair GMs who want to keep preaching to me how easily the process is and how this is all some sort of excuse by the GMs. I'll lean on the side of taking the word of the execs who have been doing this for vastly longer, and dont like the process leaving a lot of unchecked boxes. There is jobs, millions of dollars, these athletes livelihoods on the line, etc.. but yeah, just adapt. Gtfo If people are this desperate for sports, there might be something deeper going on.
  2. Who are you even arguing with? Me or the weighing amount of information that keeps lending it self to why this should be pushed back? It's not like I'm making up random excuses. These are concerns that have been stressed by general managers. You keep acting like you know more about the draft process than these guys do.
  3. I'd say it's a need in the sense, we were able to address most of the other areas, so RB2 has all of a sudden been the only one standing when the music stopped. That being said, I do think having a compliment to Singletary. While I do see the sentiment of getting a similiar style back to Singletary, in order not to tip your hand to the defense when one back is in oppose to the other. I fore one, would love a SPEED, take it to the house on any carry type back. If one of the big three Dobbins, Taylor, Swift are gone, give me McFarland later!
  4. Yes, but a majority came from when they forced him to play IOL, instead OT. Moreover, I think you can also attribute the lack of a QB with awareness behind him. Coupled with having missed the season prior due to injury. Not trying to be an apologist, its entirely possible Williams doesnt have much in the tank after the injury in 2018. However, I think there were factors working against him last season.
  5. I dont think it boils down to just the one more completion a game. It's more broad than that, its having defense play more honest. When they know your tendencies and where you are reluctant to put the ball itll change how they defend you. That's why it was infuriating watching Tyrod pigeon hole him self. In turn, this will also limit your skill players if your QB cant utilize them to the best of their abilities. While I do agree that throwing players open may not be the utmost priority for Allen, and it's going to be a subjective "attribute." However, the scope I look at that with, is Allen reading the defense, is he trusting his WRs, is he accurate in decision/throw, etc... because if those things are all clicking, Allen should be putting the ball in positions where the skill player has the opportunity to create after the catch. Otherwise, again, we would be doing our skill players a disservice.
  6. Would you risk your job on a project that didnt have all the information accessible? Having to go into what is already considered a crap shoot that is the NFL draft, with even less ducks in a row seems like a recipe for success.
  7. Man, Proche is such a hard guy for me to gauge. For the volume of catches the dude had, to only have four games over 100 yards. Seems like an ideal, death by a million paper cuts type of player.
  8. I know the draft is super deep. However, I have a hard time saying Hodgins is going to slip that late. I'm not saying he wont be there, there's no real way of knowing how teams have their boards set, but the kid is stupid good in the red zone. If he there you absolutely run to the podium because hes going to be a sleeper WR. Another good WR for the later rounds that should likely be there is Isaiah Coulter from Rhode Island.
  9. It's a good practice in people putting their hands in others pockets because they see big numbers and assume it just as simple as writing a fat check. Again, always like seeing how others would spend other peoples money.
  10. Get a good complimentary back, teach Knox how to catch, and if the line stays healthy (knock on wood) there is absolutely no reason we wont improve in every category. I know we are all stoked about Diggs, but outside of his production, what it's going to open up for guys like Smoke and Beasley... just... cant effin wait
  11. These frugal millionaires! Lol. Glad to see more and more people helping out where they can! Really do think there is a lot more kindness than not in this world. I know, funny coming from me, one of the meaner posters on the board lol.
  12. Yet, they unanimously have asked for the draft to be pushed back. Not just one or two GMs, therefore, without knowing exactly every detail that goes into the process... I'll lean with the people asking for the extension over the bored fans who just want any type of sports.
  13. The GMs as a whole have asked for this, which to me makes zero sense that Goodell doesnt want to listen. Better off moving it back and trying to do things as correctly as possible.
  14. I absolutely pray they take a WR early. Ignoring that OLine has been and still is their biggest downfall. They are experiencing what we used to experience, which is free agents use them as leverage. Had they walked out of FA with a more solidified OLine I'd be nervous about them adding a playmaker. Despite Gase ruining every playmaker hes gotten his hands on. The Jets are honestly, and not just saying this because I hate their guts, are in one of the worst situations in the league from top to bottom on their roster. Even if they want to debate Darnold/Allen, and say Darnold is better, well never see that ceiling be met in New Jersey that's for ***** sure.
  15. All the people trashing this move. Just wait until he has one big game and the Jets fans all come out of the woodworks. You'll see, the rest of the league messed up not getting Perriman... Adam Gase is just ahead of the curve lol
  16. Having any of the three of Swift, Dobbins, or Taylor falling to 40 would make for an awful interesting decision. I for one would pull the trigger, and have a top pairing backfield for the next three to four years easy. I know to some it would seem like a luxury pick, but we saw the downside to not having a good spell back to Motor down the stretch. Imagine not just having a spell back, but possibly an as good if not better back to share the workload. As far as Bowden, what's tough for me, unless you find the right way to utilize him, I feel like hell be lost in the shuffle. Love his skill set, and as a developmental spec, you absolutely take that risk, but for me it would have to be legit 6th or 7th round.
  17. The ram head is not half bad,and the word mark has a vintage kind of feel to it. I'll wait to see the jerseys and what have you, but the LA secondary logo is awful.
  18. There is no reports of a restructuring. The only thing I can think of is the extension Diggs signed in 2018 with the Vikings.
  19. Unless Baun slides, there will be some potential names like Weaver or Lewis that could be enticing in the second round. However, if one of the backs like Swift, Taylor, or Dobbins are there, or if there are corners that are there I'd prefer to go that route.
  20. Honestly, this topic is is going to be beaten to death due to lack of anything else to talk about. Long story short, Beane lined us up to go for the homerun. A young, cost controlled, top tier, proven asset. Stinks not having a first rounder. I'm sure, at points there may be a rookie or two that are out producing Diggs, and it will elicit a narrow minded group to trash the trade. However, it was a great/bold move.
  21. Winston's best bet is to try and latch on to Chicago. A situation where he legit could start if he wins a battle at camp. May not like a short term commitment, but Tannehill recently was able to Charlotte's web his way into a massive deal.
  22. The dudes over at the draft network have been absolutely awesome, especially in times like these, pumping out content! I honestly like the fit for Gordon in Denver. PL is a very good back, but Gordon adds a different dynamic.
  23. I'm taking Hyde and drafting a back. Even as high as RD2. Either way, I want a vet in the room. Especially with how we saw Gore fade down the stretch... never a bad option to have depth at the position.
  24. So, maybe, at the very least we can see where the Bills head is at. Maybe it's like Olsen where it was more a viable option due to availability not necessity. Would have been awesome to add a talent like Gordon, sure, but there are plenty of options.
