    So if you're just going with diet, my Endo recommended steel cut oats for breakfast. I have it 5x a week and I've seen some drops in glucose. Most importantly, diabetes can mess with your eyes, the retina. Go at least once, better twice a year to an eye doctor. Preferably a retinoligist. I go to WNY Retina
