Is MLB our biggest need now?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Forty times are the most overrated in the NFL. I guess u think Heyward-Bey is the greatest thing since James Jett. Mike Evans is bigger then Hardy has better hands runs better routes knows how to use body better then Hardy. This is a very unfair comparison to Mike Evans. -

Exactly, We need weapons for our Offense. Watkins would be great if he's there we run to the podium. Even Mike Evans would be a great pk, I dont get the Hardy comparions other then the size they have nothing in common at all. Evans is superior in route running, hands, agility and body balance. Those attributes are what separates wr's at the next level. Btw 40 times are overrated. What matters is get off (burst) that's what gets separation combined with route running and body positioning. Mike Evans will test very well in those aspects and I believe he will be our pk. Remember DW said big wins! Bills always drop a hint into there intentions leading into the draft. If we draft Evans I would love to see us get either ASJ or Jace Amaro in the late first via trade. Remember the Bills were in the 30's when they reached into the 10yd line we need some big bodies to punch it in. -

Middle Linebacker is a dime a dozen position just like guards & Rb´s . Unless there is Patrick Willis or Kuechly type difference maker coming out u do not use a top 10 pk at mlb. Cj Mosely does not fit into that category. He's a solid player a little smallish and has injury concerns. That's not top pk material... There is plenty of plug & play MLB´s in free agency. Daryl Smith would be a big pk up for us. DS is 33yrs old so he's not gonna sign a long term contract no more then a 3yr deal for maybe 5mil a yr tops. He's also coming off a big season where he showed no signs of aging with over 133tks, 4sks, and 4pks. If we can't get DS there is a 3 alternatives, players that are young 26yrs old and are coming into there primes Perry Riley, Spikes & Akeem Jordan. P Riley would be my favorite out of those 3. He didn't play well last season because his dt's couldn't contain at the poa. Riley is a leader type player that can play the run & pass. He can be a stud in our defense and he won't cost much either. I think he fits into the value category the Bills are looking for. A Jordan and B Spikes are both 2 downs thumpers that can play the run at will and both of them wouldn't be bad alternatives So with that being said I believe the Bills are gonna use there pk wisely on players that u can't just find on the street. Ot, Wr, Te and maybe even a pass rusher those are difference maker type positions that u fill via a top 10 pk in the draft. DW has been on record for saying we are in position to draft the best players regardless of position I feel like this is the time to add difference makers. Lets go Bills! -
SB Nation mock draft
NastyNateSoldiers replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Greg Robinson is a beast! I doubt he will be there at#9 but one can dream. If we get him I say package a 2-3 to move bk into the late first and select ASJ or Jace Amaro. This would fill 2 major needs. Forgot drafting a WR, make a trade for Justin Blackmon when the NFL reinstates him in late May. I hear Jville ready to move on without him. Id be willing to give them to 2 3´s in our upcoming drafts. Last but not least sign a MLB and guard in free agency and we will be ready to make a run for the AFC Title IN 2014 or 15. Yea I said it the AFC Title! Let's go Bills! -

Whaley-Dust Settles Approach to FA
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With this value meal strategy we need to start building like the Bengals and Pats. Start bringing in some character risks for cheap. Aqib Talib, Blount, Dennerd, Pac man Jones, Carlos Dunlop. We need to take these types of risks in the draft and in free agency. Im not saying that we should load our team up with thugs. Just a sprinkle will be fine. A player that will be available soon once the NFL reinstates him is Justin Blackmon I would trade a 4th round pk for a talent like him. We should do this before the Pats do the same. -

I wouldn't mind this either kid is 25yrs old very young. Maybe this is the change he needs to get his career on track. Another player I like is Akeem Jordan mlb from KC. This kid is a thumper would be a good compliment to Kiko in the middle -

It just got a little more dusty. Pettine has been offered Browns head coaching job -
I guess we will be value shopping once again when free agency starts in March. I cant say I disagree with this approach. Especially this off-season where it seems like there isn't any one player that is worth over paying. High paid fa's usually tend to flop or not live up to high expectations. What we need to do is value our own players and resign Byrd and start working on extensions for Dareus, A Will and Spiller. This team has alot of talent. We have 4 pro bowlers and at least another 3 players that played at a pro bowl level, Cordy, Kiko and Leodis to name a few. I took the liberty of trying to put together a list of players that I think are players of value that we could go after.. QB- Schaub, Vick, McCown RB- Toby Gerhardt, R Jennings, J Starks Wr- K Britt, D Alexander, B Lafell TE- B Pettigrew, J Finley, B Myers, D Dickson & Garrett Graham OT- A Howard, E Winston, A Collins OG- J Asomoah, G Schwartz, R Incognito C- R Orhnberger, R Wendell DE- C Wooten, R Ayers DT- Mt Cody, T McDaniel, C Thomas LB's- P Riley, B Spikes, D Bishop, A Jordan, O Schofield Cb, S - T Thurmand lll, C Graham, J Leonard, R Doughty, Stevie Brown Some of these players are coming off major injuries J Finley, Stevie Brown some of them character concerns R Incognito and K Britt. Im not saying we will pursue all these players but dont be surprised to see some rolling into Tempo with Russ & Crew Players I love from this list Perry Riley, Akeem Jordan, Stevie Brown. Garrett Graham, Austin Howard, J Asomoah & James Starks

Possible partners if the Bills want to trade down
NastyNateSoldiers replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im not sure who would be interested in trading up. What I can tell u is that the Bills at #9 will be in a great spot to make a trade. At #9 someone is gonna fall in high demand whether its Blake Bortoles, Mack, Robinson, or Watkins teams will be interested in trading up for one of those players because after there gone there's gonna be a big drop off in talent regarding those positions. So in the words of ole Buddy its takes 2 to tango. The Bills should have there dancing shoes on. -
Report: Bills WILL add a QB's coach
NastyNateSoldiers replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The guy I would love to see as QB coach is old Chan Gailey he would be perfect. He can also help Hackett. Show these guys how to use Cj and Sj and reinstall the pistol package. I know this isn't realistic but would be a great hire.. Another option would be Kyle Shanahan he did a great job with RG3 in his first yr and the Skins ran the same type of offense as the Bills ( read option ). So there probably wouldn't be s clash of philosophies. I actually think the Skins ran the option better then the Bills did. So Kyle can add alot of knowledge to our offense. -
Definitely , but I think he already told us no. When we tried to sign him last yr. I also wouldn't mind Riley Cooper, he's only 26 entering his prime. He can be a steal for the right price. Kid got hops and can stretch the field. He's not very fast but is a great route runner. Also fits the Bills as a red zone threat.
-
I would love to sign Dennis Pitta & Spikes. We should also offer Britt an incentive laden contract. After that take Watkins or Evans with our first rd pk. Then grab 2guards in 2nd & 3rd rounds. 2nd rd either Cyril Richardson or Gabe Jackson. 3rd rd David Yankey from Stanford. Let Pears and Hairston battle it out for RT spot. Keep the loser for depth. U can never have enough lineman. These are some realistic possibilities that would make us instant contenders in AFC east.

No Saint there no questioning your knowledge on this board and i respect your opinions. But where wrong is that Spiller is just good on screens. I have seen him on occasion getting open deep on fly routes while playing in Chans offense. Fitz missed him on a number of passes. I do also hope we keep Spiller and if we trade him we need to get bk value. I don't think the Bills will trade him for a couple mid rd pks. The Bills should be approaching Spillers deal thinking bout it as a 2yr deal this yr Cj is only gonna coat us just under 2mil. Next season around 12mil. Over 2 seasons thats about an average of 7mil a yr. I think thats fair considering that if Cj hit the market he would no doubt get that money and even more.
-
Wasn't Trent Richardson just recently traded for a 1st, well there goes that argument. Also I understand that Cj is a bk and Harvin Wr. The point is that they are dynamic play makers at their positions. Which btw don't grow on trees. Which makes them valuable.. Also u said Spiller hasn't proven to be a good wr out the bk field. 500yds in 2012 seems like a good barometer for a receiving bk. Sproles can block?? Seriously what gms u watching. Sproles is not Warrck Dunn homie hes 180lbs soaking wet
-
Im not saying to trade him for peanuts, im saying a 1st & 3rd no less then that.. I personally would love to keep Spiller, I think he is a dynamic weapon. One of the best players in the league. The problem is that Marrone & Hackett Offense doesn't seem to fit his skill set. If Spiller played for a coach like Peyton or Chip or even Reid he would be a all pro type player.
-
Lets not forget Spiller just a season ago averaged 6yds a carry and had over 500yds receiving totaling over 1700 yds from scrimmage. Yes he had a down yr. But he still had over 1100yds offense on a bum ankle. A team I think would be a perfect fit is the Saints. Sean Peyton will find plenty of ways to use Spiller and I think that move can put there offense over the top. Spiller,Graham Sproles and Colston will be unstoppable. Sean Payton is the master of the screen pass. He will find ways to use both Spiller and Sproles together I agree with u on keeping our players but we also be smart about who we pay and who we let go. In these couple of yrs were gonna have alot of top talent up for contracts, Dareus,A Will, Hughes and Cordy. We can't keep then all

I was thinking recently about the possibility of the Bills trading Cj this off-season. Trading Cj is definitely a possibility considering he has 2yrs left on his deal in which the second yr is a team option with big escalator bonuses reaching over 10mil. The Bills most likely are not going to pay Cj over 12 million in 2015. So what do we do? Cut him after next season or trade him now? I believe the Bills will be looking to deal Spiller this off-season and the perfect comparison for his trade value is P Harvin. The Seahawks gave up a 1st and 3rd rder for an explosive play maker that was in his contract yr. Harvin is an utility player that can play Wr,Rb and return kicks. Cj is the same type of player. He can play multiple positions and lets not forget Cj was one of the all time kick return specialists in NCAA history. Basically P Harvin should be the starting point for negotiations if the Bills desire to deal Cj and if anything we should probably ask for more considering that Harvin was coming of a major injury and is considered injury prone in many people's eyes. So What do u guys think? should we trade Spiller Is this a fair comparison for his value?

Possible trade down with Cleveland

We should also add a bk in the 3rd round. This is a strong yr for bks. Might even have a chance at Seastrunk, Hyde or Mason with our 3rd -

Id definitely make that deal. #26 - TE Austin Seferian Jenkins #35- Og Cyril Richardson #42- Og Gabe Jackson. Free agency sign Sebastian Veeldeer and we would have best oline in Football Still got 2 3rds to add lbs and wr's Behind that oline I wouldn't be surprised to run 180 a gm
