  1. .The biggest need on our roster right now is #2 wr by far. People forget last yr that our offense got figured out. Teams started to stack the box to take away our run gm and our short passing gm. There was no threat for downfield passing gm. I love the idea of trading down and selecting M Floyd. I think the Bills will take him either way, whether we trade down or stay at 10. This would be a great draft. #1 WR= M. Floyd #2 DE= V Curry #3 OLB= lavonte David.
  2. I thought Hairston played pretty good for a rookie 4th round pick. Although he may be better suited for Rt. My question is if Erik Pears has any experience playing LT? He has very good footwork and plays like a technician against the pass. If he has the comfort level playing on the left then we can move Hairston to the right tackle spot..
  3. I agree 100% Ingram or Mericulis no doubt should be are pick. U can never have enough front 7 players. We still need more difference makers. If we go offense it should be Floyd
  4. I like J Martin alot i think he is by far the second best tackle in the draft, But we got to remember with Buddy u got to read between the lines.. Buddy doesn`t like drafting tackles in the 1st round. Matter of fact he has never drafted a tackle in the 1st while he was in SD.. The Bills have a new philosopy and that`s to draft BPA. If martin fits the BPA that`s the only way we take him.
  5. Sign back Bell Draft either #1 Malcolm Floyd Excellent complement for Stevie J. can form one of the best 1-2 combos in the league #2 Melvin Ingram to play OLB/Rover #3 Donta Hightower This guy is a flat out beast he can play multiple positions at LB. #4 Whitney Mercilus With this edition the Bills will have the youngest and best Dline for yrs to come. Any 1 of these guys will be a flat out amazing selection for the Bills. 2nd round if we don`t select Floyd Alshon Jeffery or Mohammed Sanu If we take Floyd #1 Vinny Curry #2 Coby Fleener TE that stretch the seems. reminds me of Gronkowski
  6. Bell has been one of the best LT in the league over the last 2 yrs. In 010 he only gave up 1 sk. In 10 Gms last season he gave up a half sk and what's even more impressive is that he lead the NFL in yds per carry running on his side. The only thing bad about Bell is his injuries. We should offer him a 1yr deal for 5mil. That will allow us to take Ingram or Fluid in the first round.
  7. I would be happy with Mincey. He had a good season last yr playing on week D line. If we add a Guy like Mericulus to that then our D line will be set.
  8. Mark my words no 1 will give up a 1st round pick for Mario coming off an major injury and ALSO give him 100mil.. NOO WAY!!!!
  9. 95% of the talk on this board is FAR FETCHED. Specially when its talk about possible free agents.. And we all know for sure that when it comes to big name players and the Bills, that`s Far as HELL fetched. But thaat doesn`t stop us Bills fans from dreaming. That of course is until the first day of free agency. lol
  10. I agree that it is a far fetched idea, but its an idea none the less. It won`t hurt to try. I disagree that they will get more than a 3rd round pick and i will tell u why. Health, Health, Health. MW is coming off a major injury. U think some team is gonna give up a 1st or 2nd round pick plus over 15mil a yr on a long term deal? NO WAY!. Lets not forget that Houston sending him to a team like Buffalo is a lot better than letting him go to a team like the Pats.. BINGO!! He wont get to see anything more than the that bonus if he gets hurt again.. This way it`s almost like getting 2 bonuses
  11. If there willing to let him walk into free agency that means there not getting anything in return for him.. What`s better letting him walk for nothing and risk him going to a team like the Pats, or get a 4th or like i said at best a 3rd rounder. It`s common sense to me. NOT Madden football.. Now he will play because if he doesn`t that would mean that he was out of the game for almost 2yrs... He won`t be happy at first but 22 mil for 1yr is not short change, and after he plays out that one yr at a guaranteed 22mil and proves that he can stay healthy. We can offer him a long trem deal for big money. Look man u know that there is no way we can get a player of this caliber to come to Buffalo unless he had to. Once he gets here i think his opinion will change playing with the best dt combo in the NFL
  12. Houston can use there franchise tag on him and trade him to the Bills in turn we get Mario`s rights under the tag.. We can either let him audition for us for 1yr or we can try to sign him long term. I would rather let him play out this season. Prove that he can stay healthy and then offer him a long term deal.
  13. Trade for Mario Williams. But its not just that simple to just trade for him outright. We need to trade for Mario via the Franchise tag. I got a few reasons why this can work. The Bills need to get on the phone with the Texans and see what direction they are leaning towards with Mario Williams. If they decide that there going to let him walk we need to talk to them about a trade via the franchise tag. We can offer them as little as a 4th round pick or as high as a 3rd rounder. I think the Texans will agree to this deal. First of all cause they get something in return for him, instead of just letting him walk for nothing. The 2nd reason is to keep him from the likes of the New England Patriots. The Pats are primed to offer Mario a big deal when free agency opens. The Pats have a ton of cap space and there gonna have to start using it, There has also been some rumors that they will be in the hunt for Mario`s services... The Texans see the Pats as there main comp in the AFC heading into 2013 season. So keeping Mario away from New England should be both of these teams objectives. We got to get the Texans to see this viewpoint because it kills 2 birds with one stone. Now i know what some of u guys are thinking.. Mario would not accept this deal he will never want to play in Buffalo. Well he we will have no choice. We trade for him Via franchise tag and he`s our property for at least one yr with a 20mil dollar cap hit. We have the money to do this and more. This is how this works for Mario. Buddy has recently said that players don`t want to come to BuffALO but after a few weeks here they don`t want to leave. As i see it we basically have Mario for a 1yr audition. Once he lines up with Dareus and Kyle i think he`s gonna love it.. We can also add another pass rushers via the draft, Maybe Vinny Curry or Andre Branch in the 2nd round. With these additions to our roster and a mostly healthy yr for our returning players this would put the Bills in the playoffs.. FLAME AWAY! FELLAS
  14. i would go back and make sure Ralph would of signed Reggie White when he was a free agent in 92. Imagine Reggie and Bruce the 2 best DE`s in history playing together.. I wonder why Ralph didn`t do all he could top make that happen. Reggie wanted to play for one of 3 teams the Jets, Packers and BIlls. HE ended up signing for 3mil a yr with the Pack. Wow just a few yrs later Ralph is paying Chris Kelsey 6mil a yr... Had Ralph signed Reggie i think we win 3superbowls easily.
  15. Dan Williams and Anthony Davis have been complete busts so far. We made the right selection with Spiller. No one thought Jason Pierre Paul was gonna be this good, plus he was a 1yr wonder in college.
  16. What are u looking for a 1 trick pony.. Mercilus has shown ability to go for the speed rush and bullrush he has very good hands and can shed blocks. Believe me i`m not saying he is a sure thing but i have seen more from Mercilus than Ingram or Upshaw.. He has more to work with and has way more upside due to prototype size. Ingram is more of a power guy he bully`s his way threw college OLines that might not be enough for him to take the next step at the NFL level.
  17. I would like to see the Bills go after Pierre Garcon, he had 70 catches 946yds 6tds without a good QB last yr. He would come at a reasonable price about 4mil per season. Also gives us that pure outside speed. At TE i would sign Martellus Bennett, 6-5, 268lb runs 4.7 forty. He`s been stuck behind Jason Witten his whole career. Bennett is a good blocker that can get open down the seems and can use his size in the redzone along with Chandler. This would be the best pair of TE`s on the Bills since the MEtz and Mckeller era. AT OT We really need to sign back The Meat Bell. We have paid our dues with this Kid developing him over the yrs. Now it`s time to reap the benefits. The Bills need to put an Injury clause in his deal. But When Bell is healthy he grades out as one of the better LT`s in the NFL. He is still very young and has way more upside if he continues to add power to his frame. Defense, This is where we should spend some big money. I`m looking at 3 players that will instantly upgrade our defense #1 sign Cliff Avril he would be a huge upgrade and he would fit in perfectly with the Dareus and Williams and the player we need to draft Whitney Mercilus. With this 4 man front the Bills will definitely have a strong pass rush. #2 sign Ahmad Brooks Strong Side OLB this guy is a tenacious player that is equally as good in all phases of the Defense. He can set the edge stop the run and he can blitz from anywhere. #3 Any one of these CB`s will give us an upgrade in the secondary, Carlos Rodgers, Tracy Porter, Brent Grimes, Brandon Carr. This plan is very reasonable when it comes to the Money and i think it makes us instant contenders in the AFC.. The AFC is ripe for the taking as plenty of the pwerhouse teams are on there way down, Pittsburgh is getting Old, Baltimore Old, Indy is finished.
  18. The Bills' cap figure is at $102M for the top 51 players currently on the roster, plus dead money for players that are no longer with the club. In all, we stand at about $105M, according to: http://nyjetscap.com/Bills/bills2012.php.
  19. I really don`t like this cash to the cap philosophy. Buddy definitely has his work cut out for him with these restrictions. I like your plan but i would like to see us add Jermichael Finley and Pierre Garcon along with Mathis. That`s all we need in free agency just those 3 players and signing back our own guys. With this plan it will give the Bills flex ability in the draft to go Mericilus and 2LB`s in the first 3 rounds.. WE GET THIS DONE AND THE AFC EAST IS WITHIN REACH!!!
  20. I have to respectfully disagree, Upshaw is solid all around player. He does very well a containing the edge against the run, but from the highlights I've seen of him his pass rushing skillset is suspect at best. He gets pushed out way to much into the backfield ala Chris Kelsey. He's not explosive off the snap. Looks to slow to me. I can't really see the comparisions to Suggs other than his size. Mercilus is a better pass rushers by far. That's what the Bills need the most. With our DT's and a couple of tweaks in the LB core we can stop the run. We need to get some pass rush and in order to do that we need some pass rush speacialists ala Mercilus.
  21. Some players take time to mature and develop, lots of players have had only 1 great yr at the CFB level and go on to have a great career in the pro`s. Al Smith and JPP are to of the more recent players to be labeled with the 1yr wonders. Look what these 2 players have been able to do with there current teams, Whitney Mericulus is a Beast, 6-4 268 long arms very strong at the POA, has an array of moves from the bullrush to speed rush the man is an all round talent. I would love to see this guy line up next to Dareus and Williams and if Merriman can get healthy. Who knows we might end up in the top 10 in sacks next season... LET`s go Bills. Make it happen BUDDY!!!
