Shaun Hill: Polian would take a hard look
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please no, I would rather have signed McCown. The Bills have an opportunity right now to find a diamond in the rough. Let's get a young QB with potential to be a steal. Guys that fit into this category are Ryan Mallett or Jake Locker. Both of these players have something they bring to the table. Locker has grown in these last few years he's had some good gms mixed with some bad he's also been injured a few times. Maybe the change of scenery and the chance to play in Romans scheme can get him on the right track. The Big Mall, Ryan Mallett has the kind of arm that QBs dream about he can make any throw fades, back shoulder, deep posts & bombs. He's still young and needs to be protected well because he's strictly a pocket passer so we need to continue to beef up our O-line and get the running gm going so we can set up play action for the intermediate and vertical passing game. Adding 1 of these 2 players will bring in a true challenge to Ej and makes our team better. If u want a veteran guy add a Matt Hasselbeck or Shuab as a 3rd stringer for cheap. These guys can give us that veteran mentor aspect that your looking for. -

Ej will play the TJack role Moore will be the free agent signing filling the Middle Flynn role & Hundley will be the next Russ he's gonna come in and take over wow everyone and win the Superbowl!!. Hey guys wake me up cause I'm dreaming. Lol -
Matt Cassel a Potential Target?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Zac's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No matter what your order or preferences I would be happy with anyone of these 3 guys. Locker is enticing if he can stay healthy that's why I got him ranked #3. -
Matt Cassel a Potential Target?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to Zac's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reason the Pats were trying to trade Mallett was that he was going into the last year of his deal. With Brady still having prime yrs ahead the Pats were smart to trade Mallett before he walked out the door for nothing. -
Matt Cassel a Potential Target?

Ryan Mallett is a unrestricted free agent. So he's free to go play wherever he pleases. Why haven't the Texans signed him yet? I know he's originally from Texas so Mallet might favor going back to Houston. It seems like Mallett is keeping his options open and will probably see where the best fit for him is. I'm hoping it's in Buffalo. Come March 10th the Bills need to be hosting Ryan Mallett. -
Matt Cassel a Potential Target?

Mallett>Matt Moore>Locker Why not sign Ryan Mallet he's still young has reasonable upside can make every throw in the book including back shoulder, fades and the Deep ball. If we continue to build this oline and add a talented back or two. I believe we can compete for the division. RM stands at 6'6 weighs 240 lbs he's a big guy reminds me of Joe Flacco. He also has sat patiently since 2011 so he's developed in the pro system. When he had his chance last yr he looked pretty good on the road in his first start completing 16-20 passes for over 200yds in a win over Cleveland. If it was up to me Ryan Mallet would be my first choice -
We should kick the hell out of those tires with Jermichael.

2015 The Year of The Second Chance !!
NastyNateSoldiers replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anytime u have a chance to add a HOF caliber player still in there prime u do it. Ap is not just a Rb he's a generational back that would fit perfectly in Romans power scheme. Adding a healthy fresh Ap would put this team back in the playoffs. I say if he becomes available make it happen. I'd offer him a 2yr deal for 15 mil, 7.5 per. -
Don't expect Spikes or Searcy back
NastyNateSoldiers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe Manny definitely has a spot on this roster especially if Hughes leaves. I can see Rex using Manny in the Calvin Pace role those 2 players are very comparable skill set wise. 2 yrs ago Manny performed admirably in Pettine system notching 4 sacks and over 10 QB hits. I'm not saying he's JH level but if he started in this defense can he get those 10 sacks that Jerry got but can save 6-7 mil in the process. Even if he gets 8 sacks and notches a respectable QB hurries, hits numbers I think it's worth the savings. Don't forget fellas Randell Johnson looked pretty good last preseason so DW might want to see what we have in him also -
Arian Foster should have been a high pk but had some serious character concerns coming out of Tennessee.
-
These players and teams u mentioned have some great QBs. If we had Brady I'll take any Rb in the league with him. Flacco is also very good and they have a bulldozer line not to mention Gary Kubiak. The Bills don't have that attention seeking QB so we need talent at the RB spot. Adding a guy like Duke Johnson or Tevin Coleman this yr is even more important because we don't have a 1st rounder. When we make a pk especially in the 2nd & 3rd rounds they need to be starting caliber players.
-
If Maxx makes it to #50 the scroll will know what to do. Scroll make our selection for us. Maxx Williams is the pk. Btw he's a Williams it must be fate.
-
The best realistic combos we can possibly get in the draft in my opinion is #2 - TE -Clive Walford #3- RB -Jay Ajayi Or #2- RB - Coleman or Duke #3- TE- Nick O'Leary We end up with 1 of these combos I'm doing cartwheels in my sleep.
-
Other then Gordon or Gurley at pk #50 I'd go with. #1- Duke Johnson- Spiller clone with better vision #2- T Coleman- I like his speed & size #3- J Ajayi- Beast Mode jr. I love this dude
-
The Browns have there back field set for the foreseeable future. Isaiah Crowell & Terrance West both looked very good last season and they were both rookies.
-
I don't know why all the love for this guy he's overrated, couldn't even hold down starting job in Bama. He was good 2yrs ago after Lacy left he declined. He's a change of pace back. A backup in my opinion.

Looking ahead 2016 FA QBs
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm on Foles train myself, I think he'd be perfect for us. Look at his average per att 7.57 that's fit right into the vertical part of our new offense. Plus he's great at play action -
Looking ahead 2016 FA QBs
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the question is do they the players want to sign back with there teams. Like I said once Luck & Wilson resign will the franchise tag be to much for these teams to use. It's kind of like the Hughes situation for us. Hughes is a very good player but we have to let him go test free agency because the tag price is to high. I can see some of these QBs and there agents seeing the same thing and working the system to there advantage. -

Hopefully he gets a ton of money so that tag price goes up even more after Russ & Luck sign there deals. -
NFL Free Agency Dates - Tag Jerry Hughes?
NastyNateSoldiers replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see the Bills letting him go and promoting from within both Manny Lawson & Randell Johnson most likely to take his spot. Probably gonna be committee approach. I can see Rex playing Lawson in the Calvin Pace role. -
Looking ahead 2016 FA QBs
NastyNateSoldiers replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think things are changing in the NFL due to financial reasons teams will be more careful giving up big money to QBs. Thanks to Cutler, Kaep & Dalton things might start to change
