  1. Eli, Phillip & Big Ben are possible due to the age and wear and tear in there careers. Eli will be close to 36 Philip also 36 and Ben 35. I also think the Panthers might have to make a decision on Cam.Some of these players might fall in the no man's land category. Players and agents know this so let's say the Panthers feel that Cam might be worth 15 mil per and they make him an offer. Cam and his agent know that there team won't franchise tag him for over 20 mil. Cam says to his agent why play here for 15 mil stuck on this bad team when I can go somewhere else where I can win and be that difference maker.A place like Buffalo can possibly be a place that these types of QBs can make that difference.
  2. Philip Rivers Big Ben Eli Manning Andrew Luck Robert Griffin Sam Bradford Russ Wilson Nick Foles Ryan Tannehill Cam Newton Now this is an impressive list. Which leads me to my question of possible plans at One Bills Dr moving forward. I think the Bills brass have there sights on 2016 to finally fill the need for franchise QB. I know more then half these guys will never become available but that doesn't mean that those QBS that get signed can't help us. By the time some of these guys get signed like Wilson, Luck and possibly Phillip the pay raises these players are about to get are gonna put some teams in a bind with there perspective free agent QBs. After Luck & Wilson sign which Btw has been reported very soon to upwards of over 25 mil per season. These deals are going to raise the threshold for franchise tags for QBS to over 20 mil per season which will force some teams to let there franchise QB to test free agency if they can't get deals done before the free agent period begins for 2016. With the franchise tag for QBS going over 20 mil QBs like Tannehill, Foles , Cam, RG3, Eli, Bradford & possibly Big Ben might be available. Now all these QB are good to great players depending on some teams opinions and u would have to think that some of these guys can solidify themselves as top tier guys depending on there play in 2015. Even with some of these QBs playing very well its gonna be tough for teams to keep these guys especially under the franchise tag. There's plenty of factors at play here including health, Age, & the salary cap situations and Outlook of these teams moving forward. So going into 2015 season the Bills are probably looking at this season as a flex yr when it comes to there QB spot. I think there gonna give Ej his opportunity while possibly signing a free agent like Locker or Matt Moore to compete. I don't expect the QB they sign to sign for more then 2 yrs for bout 10mil with 2016 season not guaranteed so that we can have flexibility to sign one of these possible free agent QBs in 2016. If the Bills play with this strategy and solidify there team in other areas like Oline, RB and TE this team will be a prime destination for QBs to sign with knowing that they can be that final piece of the puzzle.
  3. I can see Marquise Gray sticking with the Bills and Greg Roman using him in the Delanie Walker role. Gray is a Walker clone they both have the same body type and speed. Look to see MG lined up everywhere in the bkfield, Slot and on the LOS. MG was a great pick up at the end of last yr and I'm thinking he's gonna flourish in Romans scheme. Look for the Bills to still add another TE in the draft and free agency and maybe via trade Vernon Davis is in the last yr of his deal maybe the 9ers will entertain a trade scenario. Looking forward I would like to see the Bills take a TE in the 3rd round maybe Walford or Funchness and add a guy like Gresham or Lance Kendricks via free agency. Over paying for injury prone players like JC or JT might not be the best move considering the money there looking for and the fact that these guys have both missed a lot of time recently due to injury.
  4. This is exactly how I see this situation the Saints might be quietly shopping Brees. But no way does he get cut. I think it's gonna take a couple of first round picks and maybe EJ to even get them interested.
  5. U guys kidding me right now, do u really think some players & coaches don't talk, I'm not saying all they have to do now is put pen to paper. But that doesn't mean Iupati sent Roman message or vice versa. Once the combine begins there's gonna be so much agents & gms talking no one should have a 1st or 2nd round pk .
  6. Rex saying we're gonna bring in another lineman it seemed as if he was hinting that he knows something. Could this have anything to do with Greg Roman connection with Mike Iupati? Is there a chance Roman has already reached out to his former mauling guard that seemed to florish in GR system.
  7. My first choice would be Ryan Mallet with that rocket arm of his he would be perfect for December football in Buffalo. I also think he has the most upside. Watching him play in college and even the couple of gms he played in the NFL, Mallett can make everything throw especially the ones that the elite can only make like Back Shoulder and fade routes. He makes those throws with ease. RM just needs some experience so he can develop more on the mental side of his gm . At the end of the day it's most likely not gonna be a classic pocket passer type like Mallet. Greg Roman prefers a more mobile guy so with that being said my 2nd choice is Matt Moore. There's 2 reasons why I love MM. #1- MM is definitely capable of playing the Alex Smith role in Romans offense. He's mobile tough and has a nice deep ball. He would be a good challenge for Ej and we can make the playoffs with him starting. #2- If EJ wins the job and somehow excelled to the point where he can be our franchise QB, MM would be a great backup. He wouldn't make problems in the locker room. He's a team guy there won't be a Flutie-Johnson situation. So he's a excellent 2 way guy. MM can be our bridge or our bkup so he's my choice.
  8. At this point in his career Peyton is in legacy mode. Where else does he have a chance to cement his legacy. Having the opportunity to face and beat the Pats twice a yr to win the division and possibly the Superbowl. If Peyton won it all in Buffalo that might just be the edge he needs to be considered the goat over Tom Brady. Once there careers are over people will be comparing these 2 players for decades. Just imagine what winning in Buffalo can do for Peyton. That to me would be the difference between the 2. People can say Brady won 4 Bowls with Belicheck etc etc but once the discussion turns to Peyton winning the Superbowl in Buffalo that's the chat stopper right there. Peyton won in Buffalo BUFFALO! HE'S THE GREATEST EVER!!
  9. Ever heard of having multiple weapons. Adding Harvin can take pressure off Sammy open things up for #14.
  10. I would love to sign Harvin for the right price. Harvin would be great fit in Romans scheme. Put him in the slot & watch out.
  11. I love it, maybe he can chant out La Novas.
  12. I love me some fantasy football on Sundays I got bout 4-5 tvs going. I watch almost all the gms unless the Bills are on then during commercials I take a look elsewhere. I seen those Broncos gms and Peyton seemed like he was hurt. Even in his mannerisms he wasn't the same. Now it could be the injury or he hit a wall in his career. I think it was more the injury. Peyton never had been known for his arm strength he's a technician and at this stage if his career if he has a leg injury u can forget bout him being accurate on intermediate and deep balls. Only Peyton truly can answer this question and if was a minor injury that won't hurt him moving forward I think he'll come bk for another yr. If he lost it then I don't think he'll be back. So at the end of the day Peyton will make decision and if he's healthy there's no.better alternative out there for the 2015 Bills I say go all in.
  13. Last season he said he was happy with Te situation, What did he do?Bkup QBS what did he do? Guards What did he do? These were all spots on our team that if u would have polled this forum the majority would had said more changes needed to be made. So far Whaley usually lives by his word. I'm hoping Rex & Roman have enough pull to sway DW into beefing up this line. If we truly want to become a power running machine more changes need to be made. RI wasn't very good the last season he played in he gave up 6 sks in 8 gms. I hope I'm wrong bout this but I don't see Whaley making any more impact full changes to this line.
  14. Obviously Peyton won't be signing a long term deal . I think he signs a 1-2 yr deal at the most and he's definitely not gonna sign anywhere without being 100% healthy. I think if he goes anywhere it's not gonna be just for the money. Peyton will probably sign for bout 15 mil per so he can still give his team cap space to add more talent. Wouldn't it be great if he signed for the minimum and told Pegs get me some help
  15. How can u just say that, If we get in the playoffs healthy and on a roll anything is possible. Especially when u have a great D and hopefully a power running gm to go with Peyton leading the offense with his mind and arm. Even if Peyton is 75% of what he was this yr that still might be the best chance we got to win it all.
  16. I think this is there plan, Keep building this D and beef up the running gm to top notch levels so that Defenses have to load up the box to defend it. Once the D loads up that box it's time to go vertical. The Seahawks do this better then anyone else and it works. Every time I watch the Hawks play I find myself amazed by the intelligence of this philosophy. There running gm sets up there vertical gm. Taking shots down field vs 1 on 1 coverage makes the gm easier on your QB. Making those down field passes are actually easier then dinking dunking your way to the end zone. Watching Russ Wilson play he's not very good at working threw progressions. He's not gonna lead many long drives during the season he's just not consistent enough of a passer. I believe EJ can play in a similar offense and have similar success. Power running with taking shots down field where there is actually more space to throw the ball to spots instead of short & intermediate gm where u have to throw into small windows. Now of course there gonna have to mix in some screens and high percentage short passes to keep the defense honest. I fully expect the Bills to play with this style taking advantage of the skill sets of Sammy & Woods.
  17. I beg to differ, Let's say Peyton becomes available he's looking for a perfect fit to end his career. He sees Buffalo thinks hey this team has one hell of a D, great Special teams and some fine young pieces on offense. Peyton tells his agent set me up an interview with Mr Pegula and the Bills hierarchy. During interview Pegs tells Peyton we'll get u Ap fix the line and add your buddy JT no problem. Peyton starts to think about beating Brady, Belicheck and bringing a Superbowl to Buffalo. Now What does that do for Peyton legacy? Winning a Superbowl in Buffalo might just propel Peyton back into the goat discussion.
  18. I'm not saying Joe B is the end all be all of Bills news but he makes a few points in discussing this subject. DW likes that bum C Williams and has talked up Kujo & Cyril this off season. This is definitely a Whaley move just like when he signed Tony Moeaki and said "we have guys". Those words make me cringe "we have guys" well Doug I'm gonna let u in on something, everyone has guys!. But can those guys play I think is the question. We seen this the last 2 yrs with Doug waiting for Unga & McClain to develop, waiting for Tony Moeaki to fix our Te situation even waiting on a undersized Chris Gragg. Well boys get ready to wait some more. Its Kujo & Cyril turn. Part 3 of the interior line dilemma. I'm hoping DW has learned from the past and goes out and signs another guard banking on only RI when he hasn't played in almost 2 yrs is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong I like the fact that we have young players to develop on the line but counting on them to play at a high level next season is wrong. Let those guys sit next season and develop properly. RI will be off the books and either Cyril or Kujo can take over when there ready.
  19. I was listening to wgr and Joe B seems to think the Bills are pretty much finished with the Oline. He says we might draft a player late but that's bout it. I think this would be a huge mistake, I guess DW really doesnt put much stock into building our offensive line properly. He has had 2 yrs to fix the guard spot and just can't. I really hope this is not the case and that we will sign another veteran guard that can start right away. Relying on young unproven players like Cyrus & Cyril to develop into fixtures on this team can end up costing DW his job. Seems like DW likes playing with fire hopefully he doesn't get burned.
  20. Rebuild? Pittsburgh is looking like contenders. There Offense is top notch and the Defense needs some adjustments but they have some young pieces. If Pitt trades Big Ben I would be in big shock!
  21. Just the mention of Blaine name makes me feel like throwing up on this board, I'd rather sign JP Losman. Lol
  22. I'm starting to think the line is almost complete and Whaley won't be making any big moves. DW will probably add another low priced free agent like a Wille Colon but that's it. Whaley doesn't value paying guards premium money and I fully expect him to stick to his guns. Here is a little preview of what our line can look like heading into camp Lt- Glenn, Hairston LG- Incognito, Williams, Urbik C- Woods, Urbik & late draft pk Rg- Colon, Cyrus, Cyril= camp battle Rt- Henderson, Hairston, Cyrus
  23. Cut them this off season so dead cap money can hit the cap now while we have the space
  24. Thanks for clarifying the Status of both Williams & Urbik I guess it's even better that we can cut them after June 1st, gives our coaches time to see if these guys can fit into our plans.
