  1. With a purely superficial understanding of the text, yes, yes they did. Often. Any attempt to understand these comments in context makes it all pretty clear, however.
  2. I would say nearly every person I know regularly puts ketchup on dogs. I had no idea it was such a divisive topic.
  3. Honestly I don't know what you're supposed to do. Stop, drop and roll? Or is it duck and cover? Just say NO or just do it (keeping in mind that once you pop you can't stop)?
  4. After what happened at that book signing in Albany, I'm guessing he uses whichever bathroom you're not in.
  5. These guys almost did too. Talk about commitment. All In!!
  6. This thread is embarrassing for many reasons. Its a typical TBD, semantics based, circle jerk with a side of Mongolian cluster f@#$ as the topic has been framed so poorly. The organization is not in win now mode. No matter what a coach or the players may say in an interview, teams with question marks at QB are not in win now mode. If you want to see win now mode, look at Denver since acquiring Manning. They were all over free agency, loading up for a 2 or 3 year run. Talib, Dumervil, Welker, Vernon Davis, Sanders, Ward. Some of those moves were flops, but they went for it with big money short term deals to win while Manning could still play. http://www.milehighreport.com/2014/4/9/5596570/broncos-free-agency-grades-2014 Basically sitting out free agency and extending your own drafted and developed talent is not win now. Replacing your free agents with draft picks is not win now. Its a thoughtful and sustainable approach to managing a franchise. Every coach and player will talk about win now since that's their only goal. Theirs is a short term view regardless of circumstance. Win now is reflected in the actions of decision makers. Unless your coach is GM, its really not up to them. Rex, Rob, and a dozen guy named Williams can talk about winning now, or all in, or any other catch phrase but you only need to pay attention to what the front office is doing to answer that question.
  7. October 30, 2011 I can still see the ball in the air and remember thinking its right on target. As it drilled Thigpen squarely in the head, I would go back, get my composure, and deliver something more clever like "BACK and to the LEFT!" or "get down, Mrs. Kennedy!" instead of spilling my beer and yelling an unintelligible mash up of "holycrapsswipe!". It haunts me to this day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuxaffH1PQw
  8. 1. It was a joke. 2. As I'm sure you know, its not easy for many people, even people with the means and resources, to leave home. To rather glibly ask, why don't they leave, is an over simplification and begs for the response I gave you.
  9. Put up a picture of a college girl dressed like slutty Pocahontas and a pic of daily life on the Rez on Facebook and see which one draws more attention. "Cultural appropriation" or destitute poverty?
  10. I've been axing all the people in the projects why they still live there. If its so bad and bleak there, why not go live in the Hamptons where opportunity and success are just handed to you? Seems like common sense to me.
  11. If it was 9 out of 10 dentists, you'd be changing your brand of toothpaste. How about a little perspective?
  12. Found the SJW. Are you outraged??? Please tell me you're outraged. There is certainly a new breed of Social justice Warrior with incredibly warped views about the role of government and what constitutes injustice. Check out what was happening at Yale over Halloween costumes or why Jerry Seinfeld won't perform at college campuses anymore. There's a growing movement of kids who think its their right to go through life having never experienced words or ideas that cause discomfort. They measure their morality by their capacity for outrage and offense. They have no concept of, or respect for, freedom of speech.
  13. How did their medical staff miss this?
  14. Then I suppose its a good thing that I haven't said anything even resembling that. My point, which is best understood by reading only what it is written, is that choosing to conflate the current status of the team with the last 15 years of utter mismanagement and despair, is a decidedly illogical way to view things and results in a more pessimistic view.
  15. Why do you think the last 20 years are indicative of what to expect in the future? I'd focus a lot more on the last 2, unless you think the ghosts of Ralph and GMs past are guiding the hands of the current regime. ( I will not entertain any responses from the Littman, Overdorf, Russ Brandonberg, illuminati, Priori of Scion wingnuts that reside at TBD)
  16. Shoulder injuries are weird. I had a tear in my labrum where its almost as if theres a perfect notch where at the right shoulder angle the thing would pop out with no real effort. I dealt with it for years before I finally had surgery to fix the issue. Shaq's shoulder issue was a known issue and this surgery is prevent further damage to the joint and tissue.
  17. I thought the post you responded to was sufficiently absurd enough to read clearly as sarcasm but apparently not. I thought we had met before.
  18. This is worse than the Maybin pick. At least Mayhem was ready to start the season and get on the field. No team has gotten less out of a first rounder since the Celtics selected Len Bias second overall.
  19. The less talent part is plausible. We replaced Mario with a rookie. The part I have an issue with is the idea that Ryan's job will be tougher without a malcontent half-assing it on Sundays.
  20. Pretty sure the last thing he said to Ralph was "turn your head and cough, mother@$%^er!" so you tell me?
  21. First boat ride is good, but first snow is still my favorite. http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2005-11-27/sports/0511260137_1_roscoe-parrish-snow-buffalo
  22. I expect the defense to improve as we get more pregnant. Last season, it was obvious to most fans that we just weren't pregnant enough. Although we lost Mario, Bradham and McFumbles I expect the defense as a unit to improve with players suited to Rex's scheme, who buy in, and most importantly, are ready and excited for maternity. Ragamuffin and Kazaam will have little problem stepping in for 2015 Mario and Bradham. On the offensive side, I think theres a better argument for regression. We lost Hogan and Harvin, which isn't that significant, but it remains to be seen if we have anyone on the roster ready to step up and be a viable 3rd WR. Hopefully Listenbee can get on the field and take the top off the D like Harvin was doing early in the year and Salas or one of these other mutants can be our new Kwik E Mart. Our O-line remains mostly intact with lingering questions at RT. In conclusion, our offense is looking about the same as last season while our defense is starting to show, however, Ryan & Ryan Attorneys at Law have a history of miscarriage.
  23. I imagine that asking that type of question would be grounds to murder Murph's whole family.
  24. Big mistake. Never admit you were wrong. Instead double down and shoot your way out. What would Big Cat do?
