  1. Let's not get too carried away here. Coming off a debacle of a game like Sunday, its only natural to over analyze and miss the forest for the trees. There is no mutiny, no conspiracy here, and no quitting. The defense just missed their gaps. We gotta fit it up. That's all. Just go out there and fit it up. Play smart, play disciplined and fit up all way up in those gaps. Those gaping running holes opening up on our defensive line, well the LBs and safeties have got to see those openings and get up in it and fit it in the upward direction. Not down, not left, fit it up. Its the fit up, stupid. You gotta get way up in there in all those nooks and crannies and fit it up and in. Just fit it until you reach the back of its teeth. Squat and cough cause we're gonna fit it up in ya good. Somebody better get Bryan Scott on the phone before somebody gets stabbed.
  2. So you're saying we would make the playoffs if Peterman had started since week 1? Well you're implying it! Ok, you implied nothing of the sort but... here's a an overly simplistic argument that is completely unrelated to the previous exchange!!! Check and mate. Damn I'm good.
  3. Add that to the list of concepts that escape you. I didn't even mention Taylor's name or reference his performance. Tyrod's miserable performance has no bearing on my opinion that you shouldn't attempt to extrapolate meaningful information about Peterman's play from a ridiculous sample set against a prevent defense. Try again.
  4. I've lost all confidence in this defense. I expected Tyrod to be maddeningly inconsistent although I thought his floor was higher than we saw yesterday. This season rested squarely on the defense playing like a top 5 unit. The Chargers might not attempt a pass and still beat us by 2 or 3 scores.
  5. Did I f@#$ing say they were, straw boy? If you and the rest of the genius squad want to anoint another long shot based on a Jordan Palmer-esque sample size just so you can tear him down later, then go ahead, but don't twist my words to further your agenda.
  6. Its easier to force turnovers when you can stop the run. Weeks 1 through 7, Bills D was giving up an average of 80 yards rushing per game. Median was 70 yards. The last two weeks 200 and 300 yards on the ground. Forcing the opponent to pass is a much better way to get turnovers than allowing them to rush at will.
  7. It doesn't change the facts. He took what the D was giving him and looked competent in the process. Since the D isn't going to give him those looks all game every game, I think it would be a mistake to read into his performance any further.
  8. Apparently they were worn down and demoralized from the opening kick off.
  9. Every DB was playing 10-15 yards back of scrimmage. Given the situation, Peterman's performance should be taken with a shaker of salt. If Tyrod's play doesn't improve we will see Peterman in real game action soon enough.
  10. Peterman was throwing underneath against a prevent shell. The defense is giving him the middle of the field.
  11. And you don't eat 100 punches per fight. There are submissions. You aren't solely punching people in the face.
  12. The only thing sadder than Texas pizza is what passes for wings down here. Just shameful. The original immigrants are all German and Dutch. Not one I-talian in this god forsaken town. You can't even get a decent sandwich. In a city of transplants its just bizarre that I can find way better and more authentic Sichuan or Vietnamese than classic American fare.
  13. For the Rochester crowd, Fiamma in Gates is good Neapolitan style. Osteria Rocco on Upper Monroe is also a great choice for pie and your Italian cravings. This thread is making me sad that I now live in a pizza and deli wasteland.
  14. Back when I lived in Rochester my faves were Nino's Sicilian style, Chester Cab's Chicago stuffed, and Pizza Stop or Brooklyn Joes for thin crust NY style. There is still a Mr. Shoes on South Ave near U of R. That was my go to for a few years when I lived in the area.
  15. TBD needs advanced stats: Warning Point Leaderboard Ignore Leaderboard TBDisms Leaderboard Also, all numbers rounded to the nearest 3.5
  16. The line has struggled all year with stunts and delays from what I've seen. I'm surprised we haven't seen more in past weeks. Maybe we have and I don't know what I'm talking about.
  17. I'm assuming OP is referring to some type of Red Dawn scenario where we are the drunk Russians seizing Foxboro, MA? The answer is , yes. We can take and hold Foxboro for at least 3 - 4 days.
  18. He didn't fit the scheme and lacks the size we were looking for. There is simply no way Gronk was going to succeed in Buffalo as a two gap, true Nose Tackle. Torrel Troupe was the right move.
  19. Sounds like Cordy isn't buying in to the #Process if he's injured again. The Gospel Of Process suggests that those who buy in are rewarded with health and great play. We know what happens to players who don't buy in. They get injured and they get gone. I wouldn't be surprised to see him cut by Sunday.
  20. NASCAR's ascendancy to the pinnacle of American sport and subsequent fall from grace is much more complex than rule changes and team fluidity. The NASCAR phenomenon is largely attributed to the following: 1. Changing of the Guard: Today's drivers look more like a metrosexual boy band members and accountants compared to the characters of yonder. Back then NASCAR had personalities as big the engines with colorful names to match like Rusty Wallace, Dale Earnhardt, Dick Trickle, Dick Passwater, Jim Bob Cornhole, Bob Pisshard, and Anus McFlappin III. These guys were larger than life and put asses in the infield. No one is lining up to Kevin Har-whatever and Danny Ham-and-cheese on white. 2. NASCAR's popularity in the late 80s to mid 90s largely coincided with the golden era of mustaches and mullets. When high fashion and sport collide, you've got lightning in a bottle. Think zubaz and football or halter tops and soccer. After the fad dies the sport tends to follow. 3. Shorter Attention Spans: With our instant gratification, over stimulated, smart phone carrying, ADHD culture where kids can't sit still for 10 seconds let alone a 5 hour race, its a miracle that Americans figured out that people driving cars around to the left isn't really a sport but they DID! They really did. NASCAR is just asinine and despite all the demands on our collective attention, people actually thought about it long enough to figure it out. Remarkable. In conclusion, the rise and fall of NASCAR has happened.
  21. You create a synthetic short on the NFL by short selling BUD, F, and U.S. Treasuries.
  22. $20 says OP owns a footbath that lives right next to his La-Z Boy recliner. $10 says he still has a subscription to TV Guide.
  23. You work 9 to 5, 5 days a week, sometimes 6, and you have to COMMUTE!! As if that wasn't torture enough they make you fly commercial like cattle? The indignity of it all!!! What kind of sweatshop are you working in?
  24. Fitz-scream and the Comeback heard round the world is up there for me. The week before that featured another huge second half comeback against the Raiders. Its a bit sad that the Super Bowl years were so long ago that the warm fuzzy Bills memories in my adult brain are comebacks in another 7-9 season.
