We covered their number one receiver with a combination of Humber and Lorax most of the game. After Allen had already torched us for 100+ yards and one TD, we eventually put Leonard Johnson on him. Keenan was limited to 40 yards and only one TD after McD and Frazier caught on. Those are the kind of late 3rd quarter adjustments that win super bowls.

Nearly perfect throw. Just 10 yards underthrown. Like all those nearly perfect picks Fitzpatrick used to throw. -
Is the media the problem here?
Jauronimo replied to freeagentqb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, the media is largely to blame for the state of the Bills and the Sabres. But the real question isn't is the media to blame but why?? In order to answer that question we have to look at who controls the media and what possible reason could they have for trying to gugny WNY in the ass? Who might El Pegual have crossed on his way to esatablishing a natural gas empire and owning BOTH the Bills AND the Sabres despite NFL bylaws which expressly forbid owning two franchises in the same market. I can't say too much here, but it rhymes with pon chovi, and boodell, backed by bladameer bootin. Schrodinger's cat might be the most famous pet not named Gere's Gerbil. Both suffered awful fates for science. -
I think what McD means is that we are still very much so in the hunt and its time to take some batshit crazy chances. Really shake things up. Switch the offense with the defense, fake punts on first down, lots and lots of flea flickers. Lets get weird!!!!

Dark meat is held to a higher standard than white meat and its not fair.

Football Czar for off season

No Irish need apply. -
Dark meat all the way. That sounds delicious.

Its by far the best part of the bird. White meat is reserved for people who think anything other than missionary through a hole in the sheet is deviant. Its a risk averse crowd.

When did this happen?

You know, the team bus would be good for picking up girls in Chino.

That "to me" part is a qualifier which should be the big tip off that he's stating opinion as opinion. Your opinion of Whaley stated as a clear track record of failure, now that's opinion stated as gospel truth.
-
He made a major mistake presenting opinion as opinion. Teach him the ways of TBD.

No deal, McCutcheon!

Or a volume of Sylvia Plath and a bottle of sleeping pills.

From the guy who thinks anything Whaley breathed on should be cut, traded, or burned and is appalled at the audacity of a common fan questioning the decision making of McD and Beane.

I decided on a chorizo, corn bread stuffed turkey roulade with a red mole sauce over mashed sweet potato. Making a mescal cocktail to go with it. Something with ancho simple syrup.

He's basically still a rookie too, gug. Hypocrisy much?

Football Czar for off season

Oh, yeah sure. Let the Tsar be Tatar or even a Cossack. May as well let a Mongol be Czar while we're at it!! -
Football Czar for off season
Jauronimo replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously! Its so simple yet no one seems to understand how adding another nebulously defined layer on the org chart improves everything!! Massive bureaucracies have know this secret for years but the good ol' boys network in pro sports is years behind the public sector in management practices. -
Football Czar for off season
Jauronimo replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes! This is one of my favorite threads every time it comes back up. Clearly, a Czar is the way to go. Why every team hasn't figured this out by now is just beyond me. Now, we all know the Czar will possess infinite football wisdom and be generally infallible but what other qualities should we be looking for in a Czar? I'm thinking hes at least 6'7" and has a big bushy beard. He should be able to hypnotize you with his eyes and crazy dancing skills. First order of business should be to purge the boyars. Looking at you McD and Beane. A Czar really is panacea for a franchise. -
What is up with the coffee hopper?

A measured take on McDermott
Jauronimo replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those trying to judge McDermott or this front office after a mere 10 games simply do not understand the Process. The Process was never going to bear fruit this year. There are too many hold overs from the previous regime. Too many vestiges of the old way of doing things. Until all these people are purged and replaced with new people who are born into the Process, uncorrupted by the old ways, the Process cannot truly take hold. The Process will take at least a generation and cost thousands of lives, but it will be glorious. We must not lose sight of the goal and in the meantime maintain our patience and focus on the first of many 5 year plans in this Great Leap Forward to winning. #Process -
A measured take on McDermott
Jauronimo replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Benching your starter while occupying a Wild Card spot in favor of a rookie who clearly isn't ready to play and basically forfeiting a pivotal AFC matchup is all part of the #Process. McD works in mysterious ways. Its sooooooo great to FINALLY have a plan!! -
The "crucifixion" of McDermott must seem odd to a certain contingent of fans who canonized McBeane and the Process after he traded away all their favorite whipping boys. McDermott thought Peterman was ready to start and gave the Bills a better chance to win than Tyrod. When you bench your starter in a playoff race and basically forfeit a game your judgment may get called into question. Beyond personnel moves, I find major issues with the weekly game plan. If your plan is to cover the Chargers #1 WR with a combination of Humber and Lorax just because he's lining up in the slot, then you're going to have a bad time. Even after getting torched by Allen it still took a full half of football to even consider putting a DB on Allen. So who gets tasked with covering Allen? Leonard Johnson which is less of a mismatch I suppose, but still a total mismatch. But hey, at least we shut down Benjamin and the two Williams and kept the rushing yards under 200.
