In Rex' d our lb are no good, our d line has been relegated to trying to trick the oline instead of attacking. Pretty sure none of the dline wants to play in this scheme. Rex gets credit destroying a really good defense. 1 or 2 good games is all you can muster in his defense. The WHOLE DEFENSE did a backslide with the same talent, if not more. Not just Mario. Let me repeat, the WHOLE DEFENSE, not just Mario. How you keep missing this is just,wow!

I don't blame Mario. I would want out too. Yea he took the money to sign with a dysfunctional franchise, but he saw a turn around coming this year with a really good d and a " genious" defensive mind coming aboard. Rex screwed the best part of the team and by golly he's sticking with a philosophy not suited for the line or lbs who got nothing but praise on this board "let's lock up Nigel" was a common theme here. I don't think he sees things getting better even next year.

What's this build around Mario and Kyle stuff? The d is already built. Rex even saw all the talent on this d. Why do you think he bragged of being #1? He did a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE job with this defense. Kyle has 2-3 good years left if healthy and Mario is still a baller when motivated. Again, even if Kyle isn't healthy, we still have a good d as is. If you still want Ryan, cool. But he has a d that didn't/ doesn't need rebuilding. It's all there for him and he screwed it up. Most good to great offenses or defenses have 3-4 years to play together, Rex just wasted 1 of those years. As for who will coach it? Thought this clown was a defensive genious?

They're a team with a better record, a better d, a better special teams,a better coach. Maybe our offense is comparable, but the Jets are the better team. Way better. They are going to steam roll us.
