  1. Maybe he can bully Kujo into becoming an NFL quality player.
  2. Did you think we were going to become bullies by bringing in choir boys?
  3. That was a joke in reply to NoSaint's comment that anyone can look like an insider by making vague predictions. The link for my "prediction" even goes to a picture of Peter Pan
  4. The amount of wrong in this thread is awesome.
  5. Well, teams were over a week into their coaching search and we were the only one to offer him a job at that point. Anyway, I think you are looking at this backwards. It wasn't our job to convince him of our plans at QB, that's ludicrous -- it's up to him to choose an OC and decide what direction to go at QB. It was his job to pitch a QB plan to the Pegula's, and it's now apparent that his plan involved bringing Roman on board.
  6. He was given a $27.5M guaranteed contract. That was the sales pitch.
  7. QCity @QCityPredictions Source tells me there will be an interesting and unexpected change coming to the Bills offensive line.
  8. Jerry Sullivan is calling for a mercy-firing for Nolan. Also, he's whining a lot about the tank crowd.
  9. Draft order has us 14th, and that doesn't get teams into the playoffs. There were 16 teams ahead of us in the standings last year, and that's even counting our "win" over the Pats in Week 17. So it really isn't an outrage that the 17th ranked team who just lost their starting QB is ranked 20th in a February poll.
  10. It seems very snappy, noticeably quicker for sure. I guess the true test will our upcoming bombshell FA signing.
  11. Hah I was actually rooting for a win tonight (/ducks). That winless month was getting a bit too ugly, even for me.
  12. 20th isn't bad for a team that hasn't resolved the QB position.
  13. Him leaving the division would be nice.
  14. Yeah, I thought everyone pretty much knew the odds at this point in the thread. Jack Eichel is still worth the tank. The nightmare has always been finishing 2nd last - which makes it likely we get bumped to 3rd (I know Hanifin is great too, but he's a defensemen) More like a one horse race. I'm predicting Edmonton finishing ahead of Arizona.
  15. Yeah, right. It's because of one catch.
  16. Arizona even won tonight - they were starting to scare me a bit.
  17. There's no such thing as parity in the league. There are teams with franchise quarterbacks, and there are those without.
  18. I feel the same way. When Ryan came over he immediately brought his defensive staff (as expected), but the only offensive coach that was with him was the TE coach. Clearly he wanted to consult with Roman about the offensive coaches. I was hoping Rex would step away from the offense a bit and give Roman more freedom. With the influx of Jets coaches, it doesn't look like he did. The Jets offense was a disaster for the last 4 years, I thought it was time for Rex to cut ties with that group and start with a clean slate.
  19. I read an article (I think in the Toronto Sun?) that said before the World Juniors McDavid and Eichel were considered "1A" and "1B" in the draft, but now that the tournament is over it is clear that McDavid is "1" and Eichel is "2". The author of the piece said that Eichel doesn't have the explosive acceleration of McDavid. I'll see if I can find it. Still, if our top 3 centers were Reinhart, Eichel and Girgensons I would not be disappointed.
  20. Usually I avoid reading BN comments, but it was refreshing to see almost everyone aligned in bashing that garbage article. Instead of whining like a melodramatic pre-teen, maybe Harrington could have offered his opinion on what he thinks the Sabres should be doing besides calling up Mark Pysyk.
  21. Hit the trifecta tonight!
  22. Ok, but how much of that development is directly attributed to the stadium? Probably very, very little (a few bars/restaurants). If Rich Stadium wasn't constructed there, do you believe it would still be a vacant lot today? Of course not. There would surely be development there - probably some type of plaza/mall with an assortment of small businesses. People left the city for the suburbs in that era. Believe it or not, you could almost say the stadium hindered economic development in that area. It's certainly not a given that a downtown football stadium will spur development.
  23. Exactly. I think people are grossly overestimating the "year round events" phrase that I keep hearing. How many of these events would be so big that they could not fit inside First Niagara Arena? A Final Four? That's a huge longshot, and even if we landed something like that it would probably only happen once every 25 years. "Year round events" would be closer to 1 or 2 concerts over the summer with a monster truck show. We could do that now with the Ralph but we still don't (well, we did draw One Direction I guess).
