  1. Can you fault anyone for missing that?
  2. No, I did not. There are always other factors such as injuries. We essentially guaranteed his last contract for ~$5M cap relief this year. Again, he really didn't have any bargaining chips at the table. Future flexibility in regards to his contract.
  3. We freed up $4.75M this year but lost a TON of flexibility. We're taking a cap increase of about $1.5M over the next 2 years, then eating another $5.2M the last 2 years even if he is gone. He's here for 3 years no matter what, possibly 4, no way in hell 5. We gave up way too much for a player still under contract with virtually no guaranteed money left.
  4. Seriously Raiders? $60M in cap space? They deserve to be in last place for the next decade.
  5. Kinda feel bad for the guy, but we need to start Hackett in both games against Arizona.
  6. Accidental pun or ominous prediction? LOOK: Matt Hackett's new goalie mask honors Sabres, Bills legends
  7. It was nice to the kid Varone score with hustle and setup the 2nd goal, even if that goalie should had saved them. For all the roaming around he does, Lindback played very good. Almost too good -- that 1st goal he allowed was a total fluke deflection off Bogo. For a team that spends the whole game in their own end, they sure do keep it close somehow. They shouldn't have much left in the tank for tomorrow night.
  8. Agreed. Megalomaniac is the perfect description for Marrone.
  9. I would assume it's situational, because it certainly wasn't the goal that game. I was bored and dug up the play-by-play, check it out. Harvin had trouble getting to the 15 yard line, and got stuffed on the 8 (!) once. Gave 'em a mercy touchback at the end of the game when we were up 38-3 lol.
  10. Back-to-back road games! A loss tonight sets us up for a 0-point weekend!
  11. He put his San Jose mansion up for sale 12 days ago. Coincidence?
  12. Bunch of people on Twitter saying Vernon Davis just arrived at the B-Lo airport. I'm not going to link them because they aren't really authoritative. Just thought I'd mention it because airport rumors are the best.
  13. Whoa, you were serious with that Mike Williams comment?? I must now edit my post and remove the praise emoticon ( ) and replace it with mocking laughter ( )
  14. I can't believe the Colts with over $40M+ in cap space and an elite QB wouldn't target him.
  15. Ya Borland is a beast. Willis has visibly slowed the last 2 years and can't seem to stay healthy. He's a big name that would set the fans aflutter, but I don't think there's much left in the tank.
  16. Never made sense that he would sign without testing FA. He's come too far to sign 4 days away from UFA.
  17. $21.5/$15M guaranteed Hoooooollllllyyyyyy %&*$
  18. You can't assess his kicking based on touchbacks alone. His best game for us was the Jets game we played in Detroit. He could have kicked every ball out of the back of the endzone, but he didn't. He boomed high, arcing kicks with air time to completely neutralize Harvin. I don't think Harvin ever got past the 20 in that game, and I'm pretty sure he got stuffed inside the 10 a few times because of those kicks. I'm not lobbying for a kickoff specialist, just pointing out a situation where you would think stats could tell the story, but they really don't.
  19. That was crazy. They blow a 2 goal lead and let in the tying goal with under a minute left. I was livid. Thankfully, good 'ole Eddie Lack had our back in the shootout. First win for ARI in 11 games!!
  20. There's a similar thread on the "other" forum, except it was made in February. The results were the same. If we traded picks for Donte Whitner tomorrow, this fanbase would talk itself into loving it.
  21. Worst selling jersey in Bills history?
  22. I doubt it.
  23. I fully understand the mechanics of trading before FA, the current FA QB landscape, and the chances of low draft picks succeeding. My criticism isn't even based on the quality of the choice, as we've known for a long time now that our QB position was poised to be a dumpster fire this season. If McCown was our first choice and Cassel second, then it's a failure by the front office to land their guy and a panic move to make sure it didn't happen again. I knew we were going to be throwing ~$5M at a sub-par veteran QB, I just didn't think it was necessary to throw draft picks at one as well.
