  1. Good game. My guesses: Jets - Dan Quinn Bears - Doug Marrone 49ers - Mike Shanahan Falcons - Rex Ryan Raiders - Tony Sparano Bills - Frank Reich
  2. I don't know what I'm watching here, I think it closely resembles hockey? I don't fear Carolina anymore, this is a two-horse race between us and Edmonton.
  3. Big game against Carolina tonight
  4. Agreed. I've already made 4 posts too many in this thread.
  5. Correct. Browns interviewed Doug on Thurs, we interviewed him on Fri. Saturday was when the smoke got blown i.e. 2nd BS "interview", it spreads on Twitter, and Russ caves and gives him the opt-out with no offsets. If you're looking for an agent, I would go with Sexton.
  6. Yeah, exactly. That's how blowing smoke works. There's no source to that, just a rumor that got planted then passed around and echoed throughout the Twittersphere. Schefter's agent is also Jimmy Sexton, same as Marrone. How odd. Don't make me stick up for TG, I feel dirty.
  7. He didn't interview with the Browns twice, that's Sexton blowing smoke.
  8. They asked TIm who he thought had the best chance, he said Reich. He said something like (paraphrasing) "not a 50% chance but more like a 17% chance based on all the candidates, but still probably in the lead"
  9. That was a very good interview, I actually think Tim is spot-on as well.
  10. BTW projected tag for DEs in 2015 is $14.6M.
  11. They'll toss the tag around as leverage, but no way they use it on him for 13.5
  12. Enroth really came back to earth. Edmonton was 34 seconds away from overtime and they blew it!
  13. Total guess - Reich?
  14. The mental gymnastics our fan base uses to praise this trade never fails to disappoint.
  15. So Derek Roy just scored his 2nd goal of the year to put EDM up 3-1 and give them the win. How crazy is it that I'm rooting for Derek Roy for the rest of the year?
  16. I think you are on to something with this. The Ralph is basically a hole in the ground with two upper decks sticking up. The wind whipping across ECC and into the stadium is really the worst part of the experience, especially in December. Picture a stadium like Seattle's nestled near downtown (old first ward?) except maybe with slightly larger canopies that extend toward the field (more coverage). A large portion of the crowd would be protected from the elements, while the braver fans can sit in the endzones and be completely exposed. Ironically, people that pay for premium seats in the first few rows close to the field would be exposed, while the cheaper seats are covered. Century Link field sits 67,000 and cost $564M in 2015 dollars. It's something to consider.
  17. That was an ugly game.
  18. I never heard that.
  19. OBD has not said anything about this. No QB and no 1st round pick says you're right. Then again, Pegula's checkbook could be the equalizer in all this.
  20. I don't know of any history, just speculation that Shanahan might want more control over the D than Schwartz is comfortable with. I agree with you on the Gibbs disciples -- there's around 10 teams in the league running some form of their scheme today. The scheme Chan ran for his 3 years here was very similar, and 4 of the 5 starting lineman we have on the roster performed well in it. I have no doubts in my mind that Wood and Glenn would excel in it, and it appears we may have to bring in a new guard or 2 anyways. Players like Henderson, Kujo and Chris Williams would be the unknowns.
  21. If you are looking for someone to come in and fix the OL, Shanahan would probably be the best candidate. I'm a huge admirer of the zone blocking schemes he developed with Alex Gibbs in Denver, they truly were revolutionary. Some might question if our OL has the agility to run that scheme, but I don't see that as a problem because It looks like the line will be revamped anyways, at least the guards. I'm not sure he could co-exist with Schwarfz, and that would be a deal-breaker (for me at least).
  22. Sabres lose, Carolina wins, and Edmonton ties!
  23. Sam Bradford has been in the league 5 years and only finished a season twice. He tore his left ACL in week 7 of the 2013 season and was done for the year. He tried to come back this year but he couldn't even make it out of the preseason before tearing the same ACL again. Two tears of the same ACL less than a year apart is a nightmare. I admire him for attempting another comeback but his injury concerns probably mean he will be a backup somewhere. I can't see any head coach staking his season(s) on Bradford at this point. For those wondering, this is the hit that knocked him out in the preseason this year. It's not exactly L.T. hitting Theismann. How long do you think he would last behind our line?
  24. He left the Denver Broncos in a dumpster fire state when he was canned. It's amazing that working with a HOF QB like Brady for 4 years can wash that out of people's minds.
