  1. I probably said this about 500 times back where half the forum went apesh*t over losing Levitre - You don't break the bank for a guard.
  2. It's possible for you to win the lottery this week, but I wouldn't bank your retirement on it.
  3. He turns 34 this season and he's not content with making $11.5M over the next 2 years. I mean, I know he wants more guaranteed money, but what does he think he's going to get?
  4. The game was always going to be broadcast locally in Buffalo and Jacksonville, that's standard operating procedure for the London games. Anyways, talk about your first world problems...
  5. I thought the restructure was terrible. He had almost no leverage whatsoever coming in (~1M Gtd) and for some reason we felt it necessary to give him ~26.5M Gtd. When you are comparing his salary to other RB's, keep in mind he wasn't a FA at the time we did this. Well, I guess he did have some power - he could could whine about the trade and make veiled threats about not coming here, which seemed to work perfectly for him (no doubt Rosenhaus was right there in his ear). I think your odds are a bit optimistic IMO.
  6. Looks like his plan all along was to use us to drive up his price (and it worked magnificently). Sullivan's article is actually pretty funny; he sounds really PO'ed and like he's just taking it out on everyone. Well, most of us have been expecting Richardson since January. It just sucks to have the hot girl hanging on you -- only to make her boyfriend jealous.
  7. Yeah, that would be a pay cut from what Detroit is currently offering. The execution on this one needs some work.
  8. Least surprising move of the offseason.
  9. You're 100% spot-on, but good luck trying to explain this in the offseason.
  10. He comes across like a jilted ex-girlfriend that keeps saying she doesn't care about you anymore, yet follows you out wherever you go. Shady, just shut up already.
  11. He can only make the non-guaranteed NFL minimum, which is $435K. And that's only if he makes the 53-man roster. There's an 80K pool teams can divide up for UDFA's, but that isn't going to amount to much for him. If he's innocent, he just got screwed big time.
  12. He's now ineligible to enter the 2016 draft. There's clearly something 32 NFL teams know that the public doesn't. Some people had him mocked in the top 15 before the investigation. Crazy.
  13. Good job today, folks. We've went from hating the guy to talking ourselves into liking him in less than 4 hours. That's very efficient by past TSW standards, we are are on our game this year.
  14. Huh. Definitely didn't see that coming.
  15. There's a reason teams like the Pats and Ravens are near the top of list for receiving comp picks year after year - it was the plan all along. There are front offices out there that make a calculated effort to attain these picks, and it starts with a philosophy that most teams haven't adopted yet (or simply don't understand). The Pats will get their 3rd round comp pick this year and I guarantee you they will get their 3rd rounder next year for losing Revis (just one of the reasons that contract was for 2 years and not a 1-year hired gun arrangement) Manipulating the NFL's compensatory pick system to your advantage is the hallmark of an innovative front office today. If you investigate more into what some of these teams are doing, you will find that there are a handful of GM's in the league playing a high level game of chess.
  16. lol @ this thread
  17. You guys wanted a home January game...
  18. And yet all 3 are still better places to play hockey than Phoenix.
  19. Edmonton is a good place for him. Would have been lame to see him go somewhere like Arizona.
  20. Last minute prediction - McDavid to the Leafs - battle of Lake Ontario begins.
  21. Initially I thought he didn't know the mathematical odds of getting the 2nd pick. That's easy enough to explain. Now that I look back, it's obvious he thinks it won't work out simply because we're Buffalo. Trying to explain to someone that there isn't a supernatural force, curse, or hex keeping the team down is a bit too much heavy lifting for me.
  22. I don't think you understand.
