  1. I would hope that all of our players take advantage of the opportunity to juice! Also Maybin will be able to get back to his combine weight.
  2. he sucks he is only something like 33-17 as a starter. Our other starters are much better than that. He caused his coach a headache, we can't have him become a Bill..
  3. plenty of back-ups available. alex smith, tavaris smith, troy smith, alias smith. all adequate back-ups, none very good.
  4. I picked Dareus and he will be our pick if he is there, but I am fine with Newton. We'd still be too weak upfront if we got Peterson. I think Carolina takes Fairley, Bowers or Gabbert (if he has a great pro day) and Denver takes Peterson no matter who Carolina takes. If Fairley and Dareus go, trade down a couple and take Quinn or Newton.
  5. I don't believe that Malone shoved a gun down Demetrius throat when he was 12 or physically abused him. Other than that I have no use for either of them.
  6. It goes without saying that Woody is qualified for our line, Woody, Wang, Wood, Levitre, Bell. If only Bell's last name was Ball.
  7. We should all hope Dareus is there at #3. Draft him and we will a decent dline. Then get Taylor pr Paea in rd 2 and we will be set on the dline for a long time. get a backer or rt in rd 3. round 4 on is all a crap shoot.
  8. Here's a good summary...Some people on this board had us picking Dareus first then Martez Wilson. Looks like two great picks. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/football/nfl/02/28/combine.dl.lb/index.html?xid=si_nfl
  9. You need 22 guys to get to the super bowl. A mediocre QB like Fitz can get there provided he has a quality cast around him.
  10. JP had poor coaching and a porous line. Anybody could become a great QB with the right coaching and a good line. It happened for Joe Montana, a half rate talent.
  11. My thinking from day one has been to take the best DL beast in round one, there are several to choose from Quinn, Bowers, Fairley, Dareus not in any particular order. If we trade, only down 2-3 spots so that one of these guys is still there. In Round 2 take the next DL beast available, hopefully but doubtful Heyward falls but Taylor should be there. Now our DL is set for ten years. In the third it is a toss up between an LB and RT, if we address one of those in FA we go for the other. If we do trade down in rd 1 we take a shot at Kaepernick with that pick.
  12. Why do we need a RT? We already have Erik Pears. - EP
  13. Firstly, I cannot stand poor grammar or made up words. I did not think firstly was a real word so I looked it up. It is a word, not one i would ever use but, that doesn't matter. Use firstly all you want.
  14. Can this really be the owner of a Buffalo-based sports franchise? "If I want to make some money, I'll go drill a gas well," the founder and former president of the energy company East Resources Inc. responded. On whether he'll spend to the player salary cap, "We'll put the pedal to the metal as capably as we can," he said. "I don't know if it's wise to spend to the cap every year. But we're not in this to save money, that's for sure."
  15. receivers are a dime a dozen. easley, parrish, stevie, nelson, roosevelt & lee are all #3's & 4's. teams have a glut of them, why trade for one?
  16. Hopefully the new CBA will allow us to keep 106 players. That way we can sign Sanders, Merriman, Schockey and a few others. We won't be half bad!
  17. Well at least he is qualified to be a member and post on this board!
  18. If Cam's presence could make CJS into CJ we would have an offense for a decade.
  19. What football-related glaring red flag is there? He is big, mobile, accurate, cannon and a leader on the natl championship team. All of the personal stuff about him is nonsense. Are you concerned that because he is an African American he cannot learn an NFL playbook?
  20. You probably are one of those that think the league, the refs and the networks are all out to get Buffalo. Get over your insecurities. The truth is good players would rather play on a team that is competitive and one that is fighting for a championship. When Buffalo was competitive we landed good FA's. When you are not competitive you get second and third tier FAs and take risks on has beens like Merriman, Owens, Sanders, Fitzpatrick etc. Sometimes they work out, sometimes not. All of this other noise is nonsense.
  21. I'd rather have Brady Quinn under Gainey's guidance for two years than Tim Tebow.
