Donte -
You have to hope that he at least has that attitude during contract negotiation time.

Rashard Mendenhall loses endorsement deal
jumbalaya replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sooner or later some team will stand up to be counted and drop sh!theads like this. Sooner or later, other teams will not sign sh!theads like this when a team with character drops an asshol-es loose. -
Would You Take 8-8 or 3-13 and the #1 Pick in '12?
jumbalaya replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We can show great promise and still go 3-13. This team is bad, We lost ugly and won ugly last year. If we lose well this year we can make progress, get Luck and go from there. -
Round 5 (Pick 133): RB Johnny White - North Carolina
jumbalaya replied to Acantha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Scouting reports are great, the first says he can't block the second says he excels at blocking. Scouts don't know crap most of the time and look only at the measurables, size & speed, that is why we get people like maybin and mike williams. -
How in the name of God does Phil Hansen...
jumbalaya replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So Bennett doesn't get on the wall because of a harassment issue but we let a double murderer's name stay on the wall? Makes little sense to me. Cookie doesn't get on the wall because he ticked off Ralph. Polian and Saban don't get on the wall because they ticked off Ralph. Sounds like it should be called Ralph Wilson's Wall of Fame not the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame. Hansen belongs, but so does Cornelius. -

This answer is White vs Black. Bennett was an incredible player. Hansen was a very good player. If Andre Reed were white he would be in the H0F already. If Steve Tasker were black no one would say he belongs be in the H0F. -
Toronto to make a pitch for a NFL team
jumbalaya replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should spend about $3B of US and Canadian tax dollars to put high speed trains from the GTA directly to the Peace Bridge and from the Peace Bridge to the stadium. And have expedited Customs & Immigrations Passes for Canadian Bills and Sabres fans. (Also allow each individual to carry over a couple cases of Molsons and Labbats). Then let businesses use the trains as well. Time to grab some jobs from the North of us. This would solve most of Buffalo's problems well into the future. -
Donte Whitner compares himself to Jesus
jumbalaya replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All in all, I'd rather have Whitner on my team than Rashard Mendenhall. But neither should be given anything more technologically advanced than a No. 2 pencil. -
We should have drafted him in the first round.

Bucky Brooks gives the Bills a C+
jumbalaya replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point it is difficult to rate our draft any higher than C or C+. Of the 9 we drafted, odds are 4 will wash out, 2 may become starters and 3 will be spot players/special teamers, Not great. but better than in past years. -
4 key players for sucess in 2011
jumbalaya replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
4-12 or 5-11 IF we get lucky. -
Suh and Fairley are much more lethal than Williams and Dareus. We are not even in the same league. This is the same line of BS this board posted after last seasons draft predicting the playoffs only to start 0&8 or something crappy like that. Our best hope for the D line is that Troupe develops into an every down player and Williams keep splaying hard. Williams is solid but hardly intimidating. We should expect about 3 maybe 4 sacks from Dareus. That Williams shines on this team is because the defense is so bad that an average player looks fabulous. PEOPLE, this team still sucks, we added one starting DE but he will be a rookie and still learning, we added a second round DB that will replace a 4th round DB in the nickel, we a re adding a 3rd round LB that will be a slight upgrade as a rookie over what we had last year, if he starts. That is it. This team and this defense is not ready for prime time. We will have a great shot at Luck.

Torell Troup, Kellen Heard, Michael Jasper
jumbalaya replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd hate to p!ss him off. If he makes a big transition this year it will be huge, no pun intended. A big physical Troupe, Williams and Dareus should be able to make our LBs look great....if Troupe takes that big step. No reason to say he can't at 327lbs, if he adds 5 to 8 lbs he'd really a beast. Heard is a project, Jasper is even more of a project but maybe we found another Demetrius Bell / Jason Peters? Bring in Carrington when they go to a four man front with Troupe and Dareus in the middle...whoopee. -
2008 Bills Draft- grade me now.
jumbalaya replied to buffan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is an F for rounds 1 - 4. After three years an "elite" CB that is barely starting on a very poor defense and another CB that only plays in the nickel. Very huge misses on 2, 3 and the second 4. It is an A+ for rounds 5 - 7. Bell and Johnson. Overall D. I think we will find the 2011 draft to be very similar when rated three years hence. Dareus should be very good. Then two out of three between, Williams Hairston & Sheppard, make it, maybe we can have an A for 1-4 and then who cares about 5-7. -
Not a Jauron draft despite the DB's
jumbalaya replied to Turbosrrgood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Jauron had been the head of this draft, everyone on this board would be up in arms due to the three CBs. I wanted mostly defense but I thought that would be another quality D lineman (a 7th pick doesn't count) and more LBs One DB would have been enough and we did not need to draft an RB as you can pick up one, just like the one we drafted, easily enough in free agency. We needed more special team and LB depth than what we got IMO. Our special teams suffered last year and we pick one late round LB to help fill that gap. -
Who would you have picked? Post draft mock
jumbalaya replied to Koufax's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hasn't Gailey proven that we do not need a franchise QB to effectively compete in this league? Didn't Bellichek prove that with Matt Cassell? The Jets keep winning with Sanchez and he is average and not consistent. We need an offense that can block and run, once we have that the passing game will take care of itself. To have a chance at the playoffs, along with an effective offense, you need a very very good defense. We have a chance to move from the worst defensive unit in football to one that ranks 20 to 24 next year. Hopefully we can reach the top 15 the following year as Dareus, Carrington, Troupe, Sheppard and the backfield improves. With what we have coming back from last year and what we drafted it looks like our draft top needs next year are OLB, TE, OL depth, and QB in that order, about half of what we needed this year. With any luck we can pick up a serviceable TE and RG in free agency this year. If so, we can begin to target specific needs to get the team on a playoff course in 2013. Imagine if we can get a monster OLB in the 2012 draft to go with Merriman, Poz, Moats and Sheppard, and if the D Line becomes halfway decent our defense will be solid. -
Round 4 (Pick 122): OT Chris Hairston - Clemson
jumbalaya replied to Sisyphean Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you saying that picking someone at 122 who is raked 126 is a reach? Or do I misunderstand your meaning. -
It's pretty embarrassing, reading this board sometimes...
jumbalaya replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mallett will be a great teammate and will step in when called upon. Nobody will be calling for Brady's head until his arm is gone. Just like what we did with Kelly. Toward the end, it was apparent that Kelly's arm was only good with a week's off between starts. If/when that happens with Brady, they will call for Mallett. Until then no one has any reason to suspect that Mallet will be anything but prepared and ready to fill in when called. This will not be an ugly situation. -
with the lockout udfa's are in a world o hurt. with the likely delay to training camp and the start of the season udfa's have almost no chance this year.
