  1. The only way the Bills D can stop him is ....... Ayahuasca!! Yes ! Thats right, the entire D needs to do an Ayahuasca ritual before next week to gain a deeper insight and capture Rodger's spirit animal! Can we hire a shaman advisor before next Monday as well?
  2. Barkley had one tremendous game for the Bills vs the Jets in 2018. That game on Saturday might have been the mirror opposite and considering it was preseason was an an absolute embarrassment. Kyle Allen also looks incapable. I think its time to look for someone else.
  3. 12 penalties in one half has to be close to a record for the Bills?
  4. Since Kelso's time they have discovered a lot more about concussions and I think part of that is they questioned the effectiveness of the "gazoo" style extra padding , same with the neck rolls or that box that players sometimes wore behind the helmet (like Brian Cox in the 90s).
  5. Voted bad. They should have won the first one EASILY but Marv got outcoached and should have adjusted quicker and the Giants got lucky. Wide Right is still one of my worst moments in life. Utter devastation. The next 3 they lost in their heads before they even started. They were too tight and nervous. What really burns me all these years later is that random luck would have had us win at least one of those or had some calamity befall the opposition and that never happened, except to us. It was nice to win the Houston comeback and go to the 3rd one but looking back it might have been better had they lost and broken the streak. Maybe if they go the next year vs Dallas they win it. The greatest injustice in sports is that team not winning one but in the end you cannot blame anyone but the players. Those teams werent ripped off by refs, by bad coaching decisions or the other team cheating, they just didn't perform when they had to, and that is tragic.
  6. I dont hate Dorsey, His offense was just formula and boring. Daboll was better because he demanded more innovative plays and threw in some trickery. Hating on Dorsey is like hating on Vanilla ice cream. I just hope that he gets bolder this season.
  7. I remember the absolute outrage I felt at the call. It was totally bogus and utterly incompetent. But there was no redress at that point. What made it worse is that the loss cost the Bills a home wild card game vs the Dolphins which then subsequently lost in Miami.
  8. One thing I liked about Daboll was his schemes and his fearlessness of throwing in a gadget play. Dorsey unfortunately went backwards last season and his vanilla offense became too predictable for defenses. We need a return to sophisticated play calling and generous wrinkles thrown in to confuse these defenses.
  9. It just goes to show you how the NFL pundits are not much better than fans (if at all ) on assessing talent. I'm also constantly surprised at how much faith fans put into NFL GMs, a lot of whom have been even more clueless than fans on their draft picks over the last 30 years. The greatest QB in NFL history going in the 5th round at 199th is the gold standard exemplar of this.
  10. Osiris Egyptian God of the dead?
  11. I love when they show the audience and the fans obviously have no idea who the pick is but react with unbridled joy!
  12. I agree with everything you just said. Nobody got beat like we did by Brady and the Pats, nobody had their dreams and hopes crushed on a regular basis like we did. Nobody got humiliated by the Pats like we did. The Pats and Brady is a dynasty we will never see again. A perfect storm of great timing, luck and the greatest QB ever and even with all those stars aligning, it still should have never lasted as long as it did. If karma was real, we would win the SB immediately for the suffering we have endured at the hands of those dbags and the Pats would languish in total ineptitude for at least 20 years!!
  13. This isn't a huge revelation. The players played like crap. They were listless and were burned out by the emotional and physical toll the previous few weeks had taken on them. The coaches also didn't adjust to the conditions and the team they were facing and created a game plan that put the players at a deficit. As the game unfolded the coaches didn't adjust their poor game plan and didn't make any real attempts to motivate the players or call them out for their poor play . You could argue that last point and say none of the Bills coaches are like that (i.e. get in your face and get angry) but it still should have happened given the circumstances. It was a total team failure of players and coaches and definitely could have been avoided. So even though Taiwan is putting this on the players, the coaches for me, still bear most of the blame for the Cinci disaster.
  14. A lot of parallels with Marv here. Both around the same age, both coached and won Grey Cups in the CFL and both lost 4 SBs. Both HOF in both leagues. Two Legends. I just hope unlike Grant, the Bills can win a SB with Marv alive.
  15. I agree on that as well. Bad enough not to squib kick it to kill 3-4 seconds but the resulting D was insane. Even if Frazier/Mc D had ordered their defense backs to firmly hold all the receivers on the Chiefs 1st down play and draw a penalty, we would have probably killed enough time to stop a FG try and win that game. Just inexcusable ! For Frazier "13 seconds" should be his epitaph.
  16. I'm shaking my head on all the apologists for Frazier on here. He didnt get it done when it mattered. Great stat line for his defenses but without a SB who cares? Frazier's defensive mentality always seemed to go back to his days as a Bear where talent and tenacity was all you needed to get the win. Strategy and special game planning for a particular QB or offense seemed to have been overlooked. Great for the most part in regular season but not in the playoffs and not after the Bills had sustained all those injuries. Now going forward the next focus will be on McD. If he truly ran the defense and Frazier was just a figurehead then he will be exposed unless he brings in a genuine DC who operates independently. I sincerely hope that McD wasnt running everything on the D because if so he should be out the door too for the Cincy debacle.
  17. I loved the Jerry/Jeremy battles. It was interesting to see a younger Jeremy start to lose his mind in rage when he took Jerry's bait.
  18. Eric "sleeping with" Bienemy!! And yes I would take him in a second over "vanilla" Dorsey.
  19. The last holding call is ticky tack but the receiver is interfered with on his pass route as he reverses his direction. A lot of people are talking about the Bradbury's left arm as the holding one. To me its his right arm that does the hold just enough to impede the Smith S that he doesn't burst out of there to be able to get the pass. Sure they miss that call all the time but they also call that often too. Trey White got that a few times after he came back because he was literally not up to speed to keep up with the receivers and cheated to stay close. The reason we didnt see that call a lot in Frazier's defense is that he usually had them playing so far off the receivers that kind of call was not going to happen.
  20. The whole performance was meh. Rihanna is a billionaire thanks to her fashion line and now a mother and pregnant again. The whole choice of her as the halftime show was just the safest, dullest one. She really wasnt trying that hard.
  21. The Chiefs scored two TDs and got their crucial holding penalty at the end courtesy of 3 well designed plays where the receiver faked coming in towards the sideline and then reversed and went back out. Hardly a gigantic bit of strategy concocted by a guru but so effective. That whole element of trickery was missing from the Bills this year after Dabol left. Dorsey is way too vanilla.
  22. Bizarre game. Two teams I dont like but I think the end result was fair. Philly didnt face a good team all year and it showed. Nice to see them choke under some pressure. Hurts I have to admit was better than the fraud I thought he was but ultimately I dont think he is in the same league as Mahomes/Allen/Burrow. In the end I wanted the Chiefs to win it only because I didnt think Philly deserves such success so soon after winning a previous SB. I also cant stand their foul mouthed low class coach. Ever since one of the Saturday games back in December where he arrogantly told one of his own coaches? " I know what the F I am doing" on the sidelines, I have thought that guy is classless tactless dbag to act that way. Today I hope is embarrassed at his blubbering before the game too. Cue the riot in Philly!
  23. Well here is your chance for a legacy of legends Mahomes.
  24. When Leslie Frazier take over the Chiefs Defense?
  25. Wow an offensive coordinator that uses a bit of trickery. I hope you are watching Dorsey.
